He just plays so beautifully. and the beautiful tune that feels like in heaven. No matter how many times I repeat this video clip, I listen to it and watch until I can easily play this music. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you so much, you can't imagine how many people are still loving music of this time, and you play as well as steve, so it's a real pleasure to listen to you. This music will never die. *****
Such a wonderful rendition of some of the greatest "popular" music ever written. You made me think I was listening to Steve himself. I will listen to this again and again over the coming years. Great memories.
excellent work, not expecting to find something so good this cold Sunday gray... but you put me in a good mood with this music, wherever it is you I thank you for sharing your video
Very nice job, very nice! You'd probably agree that at times it was a little fast, but to criticise you for that would be churlish. I've linked this to my Facebook after having searched for the original work. The album has come to visit me again after a brief time away. What an outstanding piece of work it is. Highly under-rated. Once again, good job and thanks for sharing.
my man!!! I must of watched this 100 times. This video was a great inspiration! Tales has some of the most beautiful cord progressions. I like the way he picked out some of the best parts.
Thanks so much! An oldie but a goodie, I posted that a while ago (also have a few others up). Steve Howe was the reason I learned to play... thanks again!
The piece from Ritual at the end is beyond words, but I'll try with 'awesome', 'incredible' and 'very pleasing'. Also I think you look very peaceful, sincere and in equilibrium with yourself when you play.
Beautiful... absolutely beautiful work. Tales is probably my favorite album of all time, and you did an excellent job of arranging this (and playing it) great work. Wonderful work.
I am pretty sure that the best album I have ever heard is tales from topographic oceans. Regards with possibility of the the joy of sharing the same opinion. So it is definitely a great medley.
Man, I used to love getting stoned and listening to this album, hehe. Was glad to hear part of The Remembering, I think it may be my favorite piece of music. Would have liked to hear the "Don the cap and close your eyes" section though!
One of the guitar magazines did a transcription of Steve's medley of "Tales" that he performed live...i have it buried in one of the boxes i need to sort through yet...
Amazing execution. I have been Yes Fan for years, I play guitar (not as good as you) so I understand the technical difficulty of this. Thanks for sharing
So effortless --- You ba$trad! --- My ears just had a 6 minute musigasm... but my poor old acoustic axe has turned it's face away from the monitor and is feeling a little peeved that no one's ever played it so skillfully. Damn you, damn you all to Hell! ... Whoops - another flashback to a not unrelated movie - I mean them monkeys ain't ever going to be blessed with the likes of Yes! ... Too many tangents for one little comment box - what the hell did I do in the 70's to end up like this?
Fantastic Mike. This music 'fed' me during my acid time and now long without it I'm still hungry for it. I would give anything for the tabs please, please?
Hi Gus -- I know this reply is 4 years late (!), I hadn't looked at my You Tube posting in a long time. I appreciate your comment -- but I have no tabs, I just figure things out by ear, and play them -- sorry! Glad you like it, thanks again,
HI -- thanks for listening! I had to dig this up myself, couldn't remember either -- it's on Side 2, "The Remembering", starting at 2:28. I think the theme repeats in other places, but it's first heard there. Thanks!
Dear Mike, I would like to post this wonderful work on my site. Back in the '70's, I was the only one who listened to T. Oceans among my friends. They were kind enough to listen over some drinks. Topographic was light years ahead of its time. Find me thru Google: 'Pi Thor' Well done! Greg
What can I do? I don't have an ear to work out music like you can. It's just so nice to hear all those tunes on guitar alone. I've just about got Mood for a day right but that's thanks to clips from S.Howe himself and tabs online and I would so dearly like to play what you do. Are you aware of any tabs online? Thanks anyway Mike, you have given me a lot of pleasure.
so a question. i think the way you play the song is beautiful. is it possible to send me the video so i can slow it down and try to learn your arrangement? don´t think i can do that with the youtube video.
Mike, great arrangement of this amazing Yes masterpiece. Question: have you prepared tabs of this arrangement and would you be willing to share those tabs with others. For a nominal fee, of course.
Very nice! Great job! I'm a fan of Steve Howe to, and I play one of the songs of that medley, called The Ancient. Did you made this medley based in a tab or something? If yes can you tell me how to get the tab?
WOW! Tales from topographic oceans is a pretty good cd one of my favourite . But this is genius! just some part are too fast. We know you can play fast!
FANTASTIC , well played , but.....a little too fast , you do great justice to the original but us viewers who love the original like it the way it was writtten , just a little slower like Steve intended it - Thanks
Hay problemas de ritmo derrepente te aceleras mucho y no se escuchan bien las frases,la cuestion no es ser rapido sino dejar que tu alma se apodere de la interpretacion y la guitarra hable por si sola,mi humilde apreciacion
He just plays so beautifully. and the beautiful tune that feels like in heaven.

Thank you so much, you can't imagine how many people are still loving music of this time, and you play as well as steve, so it's a real pleasure to listen to you. This music will never die. *****

I just revisited this video after 10 years. Still have to say, very nicely done! Great technique and skill. Two thumbs up!
Thanks! It's an oldie but a goodie... I plan to put up more videos (been away from it for awhile), including some tutorials. Thanks for viewing!
Very very nice. Clean playing and sound. Steve Howe would be proud of this!

You just put an unexpected smile on my face! My turntable`s out of commission so I haven`t heard these themes for a while.
Thank-you sir!!
The piece from Ritual at the end is beyond words, but I'll try with 'awesome', 'incredible' and 'very pleasing'.
Also I think you look very peaceful, sincere and in equilibrium with yourself when you play.
Very special

HI -- thanks for listening! I had to dig this up myself, couldn't remember either -- it's on Side 2, "The Remembering", starting at 2:28. I think the theme repeats in other places, but it's first heard there. Thanks!
I am so happy that you answered. Thank you for that, and of course thank you for the beautiful music you recreated for us!
the last part of Howe's solo in 'the giant' song seems a little to fast
Dear Mike,
I would like to post this wonderful work on my site. Back in the '70's, I was the only one who listened to T. Oceans among my friends. They were kind enough to listen over some drinks.
Topographic was light years ahead of its time.

Hay problemas de ritmo derrepente te aceleras mucho y no se escuchan bien las frases,la cuestion no es ser rapido sino dejar que tu alma se apodere de la interpretacion y la guitarra hable por si sola,mi humilde apreciacion
I know and love this song...the tendency is to rush many of the parts...great playing of course, but hopefully criticism is always welcomed!
Great playing but the goofy looks ans hair! Put a hat on and smile.
Plays Leaves of Green too fast.
