    35:14 Hello! I wanted to get a message to Emily Freeman. I was only aware of her through this podcast. PLEEEZE tell her that the message she shared at General Conference this morning, impacted my heart so profoundly that I am constantly reflecting on it. Tell her "a masterful job.". Please add that she also looked amazing. I know it's not about that, but tell her that she was the picture of elegance. Thank you to all!

    I loved when David talked about the Helmet of Salvation protecting our thoughts and immediately heard President Nelson's invitation to Think Celestial!

    I love the point you made about in 2:8-9 how we start off as dead. That it's already too late for us to try to save ourselves, so that's when grace steps in. It reminds me that this is something Christ loves to do, to prove with Him it's never too late. When He goes to heal Jairus' daughter, they are told it's too late, she already died. And Christ is like not a problem, I'll just raise her from the dead instead. When He goes to heal Lazarus He's told it's too late. In fact it's been so long since he had died (3 days) that his spirit was no longer near the body and so it's twice too late. Again, He is not constrained by the things that prevent us doing the same thing, and raises Lazarus from the dead. Christ dies for us. His followers say that it's too late for the Messiah to save them since He died. Not only is it not too late, but it's part of the plan, and Christ overcomes death and sin.

    I think the core of peace comes from knowing that no matter WHAT happens here on earth, Jesus's grace can fix it. It is up to us to allow Him to do it.

    President Hinckley gave that prayer in the fall/winter of 2000. I was on my mission in Victoria, B.C. when he gave it and I listened to it again a couple weeks ago, introducing it to my kids.

    You said Paul’s life would have been “easier” if he’d have not taken the road to Damascus, but look at the personality that we’ve seen with him. He still would have encountered problems because of the fire inside of him-just in a different direction. :))

    • @sheilaboling610
      @sheilaboling610 ปีที่แล้ว

      Plan B (Heavenly Father's "B"etter Plan) took Paul's fire / zeal and added to it / transformed it (made it better) because once Paul had that soul-transforming experience from Saul to Paul, the Holy Ghost became the guide, to take that zeal and use it to testify of Jesus Christ to all those Paul connected with.

    When you spoke about the feet I thought about how I'm in martial arts class and being able to stand in a way that keeps your body stable is the first thing that is thought, if you are not stable from all directions you will fall at the onset of an attack,

      I learned that in battle situations, soldiers would sleep with their shoes on (shod) so that if the enemy came up in them in the night, they could jump up to either fight or run to escape. They could lose their life if they were hunting for their shoes and the enemy found in that vulnerable state.
      Having feet shod with the gospel of peace, can allow us to go quickly - wherever we are needed, to help deliver our struggling brothers & sisters from the mental & spiritual attacks of the enemy when we share the gospel with them.

    Hello! I have a question and I would love your input
    I love the temple and the power and peace I feel there, but someone said, “if Christ died for my sins and my salvation is covered through Him then why are the saving ordinances of the temple necessary?” And I honestly don’t know how to answer that. I know I find peace and priesthood power there… but how to answer this about salvation?
    I love reading your posts and listening to the podcast. And you have a way of making things make sense. Could you help answer this?

      As we heard again a couple of times in conference, salvation is individual, exaltation is family. We are certainly saved by Jesus Christ's grace, but to be exalted, or become as He and His father are, we must be sealed in families, and that only happens in the temple.
