FULL LYRICS BELOW
Hit the knee - ow - heck, they're ready
S.O.N.'s SAT, how magenta are you?
Daddy, I owe Doc Luke a Mercedes
Barely up and I'm looking for jobs.
Yup, they been at your house already
Who, me? Sad? I'm last to hear
Yeah, they been at your house already
Who me? Fuck, I'm last to hear.
What a real woman won't mind
But don't be weird with me
I won't be weird with you
But I wanna be weird my way
It won't be my way
American always our way
What can I say?
In the band I put the key, cause I did my time
What can I say?
Your memory's no good, leave your clothes on
Our bodies crave a lot of things that end in loss
Don't try and turn this into something else,
Too late to change your mind this time and hit eject
Now that I'm here
I been wasting half my life
Right here is where my friends they used to live
Hit the knee - ow - heck, they're ready
S.O.N.'s SAT, how magenta are you?
Daddy, I owe Doc Luke a Mercedes
Barely up and I'm looking for jobs.
Who, me? Sad? I'm last to hear
Yeah, they been at your house already. Who the fuck?
I want my money back
That wasn't fun.
The bricks and the gravel and the mud and the blood
Another wild teenager in search of success, welcome to the jewel of the modified west
Now that I'm here, o-o-oh
I've been wasting half my life
Right here is where my friends they used to live...
-
I don't care anymore
I'd don't dare anymore.
Now that I'm here, where my friends they used to live
I don't care anymore, I'd dare anymore
That’s how they know, that's how they know,
"Calm down"
That's what they say, that's how they know

When I first heard this song, I thought the entire thing was in Arabic.. How he manages to sound like he's speaking one language while actually speaking a completely different language, is beyond me. This guy has weird talents. Something tells me, he'd make a goood comedy writer, too.
Alot of The Voidz songs have Arabian influences. Some of my personal favorites are this song, QYURRYUS, and Alien Crime Lord
"One Way Trigger" arabic version
Nahuel Vilches LOL TRUE
I had listened to this song a million times before purchasing the cd. I got the cd, burned it, and put it on my phone. I was listening to the song and noticed something strange about the first chorus. I could have sworn "I want my money back" was in the second chorus. I thought something supernatural was going on at first. It randomly came on at a different time and I heard the same thing again. Reality became distorted and I didn't know what to believe anymore. I came here to try and gain some insight and was greeted by "your memory's no good" in the first chorus. Well fucking played, Julian. Well fucking played.
***** "I want my money back" is clearly in the first chorus on my iPod :o
Lol in the full album youtube video I clearly heard "I want my money back" In The first chorus
***** Same! I don't know what the fuck is going on. "your memory's no good" sounds better, so I think that is the real first chorus.
***** You know what's up. Illuminati
Benjamin Eastwood Being analytical is what helps me to appreciate art. I never thought I'd be criticized for that. If that's what makes a man a wanker, I guess I'm a wanker. "Question nothing"-Benjamin Eastwood
He's a total genius on a par with Todd Rundgren and others... it's like he has this unique musical passport that allows him to just understand any genre and walk through it, tap into it and make it his own...
Feels like you're rolling over the sand dunes of Arrakis in a white Mercedes G63
this is one of the best Casablancas' songs for sure. It's been a year now I'm listening to it again and again and again and again... and again. love what he's doing with the Voidz, it's all about music and having fun and trying to make something artistically interesting. integrity. proud of him.
shut up
@@hdmonk5556 woah uncalled for
@@stacoco6166 bro what the fuck that was three years ago LOL
@@hdmonk5556 yea i know kinda wanted to see your reaction :D so how are you dude!
@@stacoco6166 Seen 🥶
Nuuuu why did I listen to the people in the comment section of human sadness! They all say tyranny is horrible. Ect. And "I was expecting the album to be like human sadness, but I was disappointed" until yesterday I listened to this glorious song and was IMPOSSIBLE!! This is MARVELOUS!! All this time I could have been listening to this! Father electricity, Take me in your army ect! I love this album! Its SO soothing to my ears! Julian, you keep amazing me every time! I'm always saying "There's no way he has a better song than (insert your favorite)...no way...!? He did it again!! And again!!! Keep following your soul! The music! And play what you like and want! We love it! Most of us.. Haha.
Who in their right mind said this album was horrible??? This is genuinely the greatest album I’ve ever heard
ORGASMIC.
The live version when Jules changes the lyrics at the end. “That’s what they say, that’s how it goes, I know, sometimes...”
I love that even more.
Does anyone understand the S.O.N's SAT how magenta are you part? Or any meaning/theory behind it. It's cool if there isn't one but I was just curious.
My favorite song of Tyranny
💋💋💋💋
Did anyone notice that the lyrics are different from the album version?
lol dude i spent like an hour comparing this version to the other one and also to the live one. the entire arrangement is different with the two studio versions i have. the live version is the same arrangement as this one but the lyrics are slightly moved around. i noticed there was a difference awhile back and its been bugging me ever since.
I love this album so damn much
This a mix of everything, I hear like a mixture of Arabic influence, some extraterrestrial sounds, a Strokes touch and loads of nice arrangements. So refreshing, that's a really strong case of me liking this long time.
If I could dance, I would totally do a belly dance tribute vid to this. Keep rocking in the void, Julian and gang.
cute
This song does sound like One Way Trigger after the four minute mark, particularly 4:20
Maybe it's what he wanted that song to be originally but it didn't match their sound at the time ¿
Hahaha true. I hadn't notice that.
I know it isn't wise to compare this to The Strokes but I'm still gonna say this is better than anything they have ever put out.
Dave Salk No
spotify lyrics are so wrong oh my god
I don't care anymore, I don't dare anymore....
with a grateful heart, i say thank you lord god, jesus christ, julian casablancas (whatever you wanna call him) for this album
Um.....how about you thank Julian Casablancas and the voids fully. I'm sure that a make-believe sky god had absolutely nothing to do with this album.
Yekay yeke god is there if you believe in him.......it gives me hope and peace thats why i do believe in god .......and julian is the best musician of our generation
I can understand if you do believe in a god there is nothing wrong with that. I'm pretty sure that Julian is agnostic though :P Julian is THE PERSON who got me into music and I can never thank him enough for that. As for the best music artist......I would have to say Thom yorke 👍🏻
Yekay yeke at least he is the best songwriter if not the best musician
tbh I think you should be thanking satan
best record in a decade
Julian Casablancas+The Voidz you guys are awesoommeee this song is awesome the whole album is awesommmee
Such an aggressive masterpiece 🤘🏻
People seem to think that The Strokes never evolved enough or at least not well when they tried. Imagine if they went in these types of directions. No more repeating the old formula.
I can hear a huge The Mars Volta influence in this, would be really shocked if they didn't hear a lot of Frances the Mute and Amputechture prior to this project, With TMV gone though i really appreciate their mark being carried on, it is my favorite band of all time.
Sounds Like Arabic Rock lol
Jesus Escareno lol hahah so funny its a arabic jam ... julian is best got so many styles
apple d strokes well this album is influenced by persian and arabic poets......the main line of human sadness (beyond ideas of wrong and right.....) is from a persian poet rumi)
adnan khan bhae i knw but julian is awsum we some people say he dont understand his music and hate i got angry hahah
First part of the song sounds like Ricky Martin on drugs.
Where the hell was this album hidden? Damn it.
+Tom Osborne Ok prof.
in the backseat
the end of this song always reminds me of sonic the hedgehog for some reason.
Oh my god lmao
Being a long time fan and knowing a lot of the history, I think, makes me read too much into the lyrics. It's fun to overanalyze!
INTERPOL!!!!
The jam!! The second best piece after human sadness indeed.
i swear its iraqi style
حبني او حب غيري 0:39 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨
Great song, how the strokes should be now. Progression :)
4:40 - 4:58
Then reset.
Dare I Care - 500 V-Bucks
Description:
Dance and don’t care.
Best part of the song imo
If anyone sees this send me your channel and record what you think the song would look like. Ps. It’s worth it I promise.
This song, this album, Casablancas. Ahead of its/his time.
one way trigger? masterpiece
Again a great song. Tyranny is full of musics lyrics and voices stranges but so good. Music's OVNI best album. Julian could compose musics of pictures
What a musical arrangement... What a celebration of the hearts! Julian! ❤️🙏🏾🌹 They are a goldmine to discover, a treasure to explore... Thank you so much sirs...
arabic riff one way trigger -_- !
OH YEAAA THIS TRACK IS SUPER LOOOOUD
this really sounds like a different version of one way trigger
+Bryan Galan yoooooooooooooooo i feel that
It's amazing. It's like much needed oxygen- the whole album.
Excelent song, great album!
Definitely my fav off the album other than human sadness.
Its rythm is addictive!
One way trigger by the voidz
جوليان فنانة العرب 😄❤️❤️❤️
Shazamed this buying records. So glad i did!
I love you jules and this, keep doing what you love
Sometimes Jules songs are TOO good ya know ? :)
Oblivius gives me the feeling more of the Strokes' songs in their upcoming album will sound a bit like this. Comedown Machine was good album with a couple of tunes I love, but a little too measured at times I think.
kinda reminds me of one way trigger and btw nice song
مايصح إلا الصحيح
The beginning sounds a bit like a Pokémon battle theme :P
JULIAN COME TO GREECE
For some reason I picture this as a song on the upcoming "Mad Max" movie...
ow heck they're ready!
a musica é muito boa! no começo é como árabe depois soa como pop e no final uma batida como a de justin T. tenho certeza que ja ouvi essa musica no comercial da mtv.
Bom trabalho julian!
Mother of gods... It's awesome. I didn't expect this from Julian Casablancas. Great new band.
Can't wait for Nintendo Blood!
Waiting for my faev band to play on occult radio
I love song ❤🎶🙌!!!!!
underated!!
This is so great.
hit record
This gets me real zank.
The first chorus (don't even know if it even counts as one?) is an unreal experience live. I didn't even like this song until I'd seen it at a live show. The bass thunders through your ribs as the entire room just MOVES with the beat. Hard to explain it, but the power is insane.
great blend of experimental and emotional but unlike most bands that try to do something different it's actually great to listen to as well. Love all the change-ups.
Or that it's like a completely different song?
Thank you endlessly for the lyrics, it's given this amazing song so much more depth and meaning. I love it.
pure beauty. thank you so much. a lot of love and light to you.
@3:29 🎶 qué rico sonido para más bailable y disfrutable.
This song is literally what hell sounds like ngl
SO one of my favorite albumz of all time!!!

Flawless skills
It's a must
Awesome

Ce morceau a été très inspiré par la musique turque que Jullian écoutait à cette époque
THIS IS SO GOOD
Can anyone decipher what he's saying at 2:55?
"who the heck checks who loves who". official cult posted a lyrics video like 3 weeks ago. check it out.
Sa ressemble à une musique punjabi lol
