Muslims seem to put a greater focus on the Hadiths than the Quran, just like some Jews put more emphasis on the Talmud than the Old Testament (at least historically, most did. I am unsure if that is still the case for practicing Jews).
The Talmud is a compilation of enlightenment, by the time of Yushua, he would have spread over a millenia of reformist teachings.
I am more of a conservative, I want the preservation of our history and traditions but it needs to also be adapted to the changing times. I also happen to find the new testament to be good for the soul.
