Honestly, like someone who fights health problems all his life, and the last half a year even more so - having your health is HUGE. All those love problems, seems very very tiny when you are not well enough to go to the store.

He was also willing to open up and share his thoughts so as a friend, she should at least try to care and think before she leaves because she thinks it's not important. That's one of the things I'm glad I saw and learned. I hope I won't make the same mistake that Penny did, except if they're joking. Also, Sheldon didn't even leave when Penny was sharing.

I guess with some people you just have to get to know them enough to understand that the things they say are not meant in a "Mean Spirited Way" it is just them not understanding that what they are saying is not appropriate. OR just avoid people like them. VERY rarely does Sheldon ever intentionally insult someone in order to hurt their feelings.
I legit cried a little when Sheldon said she’d hurt his feelings. I love Jim Parsons and I love Sheldon! I know the character was supposed to be ridiculous, but Jim Parsons plays him with such heart, he becomes real and whole and someone you have empathy for.
TBF, not many moments in this show feel authentic, but no one understanding the woes of the guy who doesn't himself understand the woes of everyone else is very authentic, even if the example was preposterous in this case. People generally behave how others have taught them to behave. If other people have always disregarded the things that bother YOU, how could not doing the same to others feel 'normal'?

The way Sheldon actually manages to open up & tell Penny that she's hurt his feelings is a massive step for him & the way she owned it & unhesitatingly apologized & acknowledged his feelings is what makes their relationship so special combined with the way that while Sheldon may say he hates hugs, Penny is, in fact, the only person he ever actually allows into his personal space in such an intimate manner.
Penny's laugh at the very end looks so genuine. Like she was on the verge of laughing out loud, but was able to hold it together enough so they didnt have to do a retake.
That final dialogue shows both the dynamic between sheldon and penny as well as the major core of what the series was all about. Sheldon and Penny see each other's issues like something very minor, something that keeps going until the end of the series, but this whole clip shows that friendships require a level of empathy and understanding of someone else, regardless of whether or not you relate to their situation. Sheldon cares about Penny's issues just as Penny did about his, he thinks Penny's current issue is not a big deal either, but it is to her. Only Sheldon didn't just reject her feelings, he wanted to be done with it asap cause he doesn't care, hence why the To-Go cup LOL, but if she needed to talk, he kept listening and making a gesture (failed or not).
Penny: "This is ridiculous. I mean, why am I upset just because he's off having a good time ?" Sheldon: "Well, perhaps you're obsessively picturing him engaged in drunken coitus with another woman." Penny reminds Sheldon of his sister, who he loves. That's why the relationship between Penny and Sheldon is actually one of the strongest on the show (at least it was through this period of the show's run.

Also, both Sheldon and Penny make the effort to understand the other’s POV and quirks, even if it doesn’t make sense. On the other hand, Penny and Leonard don’t really seem to understand each other and just dismiss the things that are different about them (such as when Leonard dismissed Penny’s feelings when she took a course at the local community college or when Penny got rid of Leonard’s geek stuff without telling him)

This show Is so nostalgic, It reminds me when life was actually good for me. I was with family, I only had one brother, I was happy and… This show brings back a lot :(
This is important because sometimes when people hurt us we let it slide and this feeling of hurt stays with us like a cancer it's not like Sheldon is being childish or sth, he was very open about his feelings and he explained it well also praise to Penny cause she realised her mistake and immediately apologized to him, to me these two are the hearts of the show, they are very different from each other but they let each other grow to be a better version of themselves

I'm a geek, and I wear a lot of T-Shirts similar to Sheldon's. This one however is my favorite of them all. It's pretty obscure too, so not a lot of people in the real world know who's insignia that is. At least, not anymore. I love it.
One of the things i love about Penny is the fact that everyon else in the series apart from Amy try to avoid contact with him, yet Penny always instigates every form of contact they have, apart from their hug on christmas
The irony is that Sheldon's insinuation (and Penny's latent fear) was inches away from being right. Leonard did technically cheat on Penny in this voyage by kissing Mandy Chow. Okay, he didn't sleep with her, but the suspicion wasn't completely inaccurate. If Leonard had been a bit more drunk at that moment, who knows what else would have happened?
