I can't believe you're on baby #4!! You're literally super woman.. how do you manage to be so organized , with 3 kids and being pregnant?! I have no kids and all the time and I have no desire to clean or organize lol you're a ROCKSTAR!
It was ‘Nourishing Minimalism’ who asked the question, “do I like this stuff enough to wash poop off of it?” And I have to say, that is a great question!!!
#1 I think I missed your #4 pregnancy... congrats!! #2 cannot believe you are MOVING after renovating your KITCHEN and it turned out so beautifully! BEST OF LUCK!!!!
Seven days notice for a move?!? Holy Cow! I've lived in my home since 1968 and have acculated so much stuff that I really need to get rid of. I'm imspired.
Congratulations on baby #4 Kallie! I hope your new home is all you dreamed of. I always enjoy your videos, I learn something new every time and I love seeing your adorable kids.
My ex is a hoarder and it took him 18 months to pack up to move out and he didn’t have a clean out at the time. I started seriously looking at my stuff many years before even though I know what I have and go through it regularly. I could only go through it when he was away at work and had to make it look like I was organising. I also packed up the kids’ stuff and sent it to them after they settled when they finished college. They’d had refused to take it but I didn’t want to deal with it in the thick of things. It’s amazing how I don’t miss over half the stuff in the house now. I have space.
We just got done with 8 months living with family, with the majority of our stuff still packed up. I sorted a ton when we initially moved, but unpacking all of these boxes after 8 months really helped me realize what I need and what can go. And I expect we'll be moving again in a year, so that's even more motivation to get rid of stuff. I hate moving, no point packing anything I don't need!
Love this (and I, too, have moved in various stages of pregnancy, although I only have 3 kids and 3 pets) and you do find yourself prioritizing what is actually essential to your life and happiness when you have to box literally every single thing that will need to be unboxed and "find a space to live" in your new home. So, each time you pick something up, ask yourself - Do I really want this to follow me and potentially clutter my new home? You're starting off with a blank space - you don't need an extra pair of scissors, or more than 5 puzzles, or anything that has been in a box or bin and not opened/used in the past 6 months (clearly you're doing just fine without it). And I feel that if anything has been stored in a basement/attic/garage - you're just holding onto it for "some day" and that's not serving you well. And to answer your question about cleaning up items from a flood/sewer backup.....there is nothing on this green earth that is worth keeping after a disaster like that. We can do better - and again, if it was that important to you, it would be on display and being used in your main living spaces. #realitycheck Good luck with your move!
This video is so timely because I'm also moving in a week. This gives me motivation, because if you can move your entire family of 5 (and a half) in a week, I can definitely move my family of 2. 😅
Congratulations on the move and baby #4❤ We packed up 2 years ago and may finally get to unpack soon. I hate that I have to declutter because I know that some things will be ruined, and those will be the things I have cherished the most. They sat in a garage for 2 Idaho winters and summers.
I love the move out declutting method. Don't hang onto something that isn't worth your time lugging to the next house, across state lines, whatever your situation is. It's a smart method to get past the really hard stuff.
In 2008 we moved from GA to NM. Even with someone else coming in to pack our stuff (maybe BECAUSE someone else was packing our stuff) and moving us, I knew I had to declutter. One 30 cubic yards roll off dumpster and many many trips to Goodwill later I'm totally convinced if you really want to reduce your stuff tremendously - MOVE! 6 years later we moved back to GA however, this time we had to move in a Uhaul. When a 26-foot truck and a 12-foot trailer are all you can get - you declutter a lot so all your stuff will fit. It is amazing how moving forces you to identify what you can do without. Congratz on baby #4.
For me the maybe is sometimes I am not emotionally ready to let something go yet. By tucking it away for awhile and coming back to it months later it gives me time to grow and let some of that stuff go.
I moved into our 1st house last march during spring break. Ive had 2 garage sales since & made $200. Not much but it was so much small nice stuff i just wanted it to go to good use. Plus i sold to a second hand book store. I'm finally getting really organized. 😂 granted, im a teacher with a child of my own, forget getting much done dune during the school year. Victories no matter how long it takes are worth celebrating. We can park a car in the garage & 1/2 the garage is fully organized in labeled bins.
I’m in the middle of a kitchen remodel. I needed to pack up 75% of the kitchen stuff in boxes, leaving only what I thought I really needed to use during the remodel. It was amazing how little I actually needed. My kitchen will be finished at the end of this month and then I’ll be determining what I’ll actually keep of the stored items.
Moving is a HUGE motivator for decluttering! moving 3 times within the span of 4 months with 4 little kids ( 5, 3 and 4 months old twins) is an eye opening. Having said that, my decluttering continues on.
Congratulations on the new addition! You look amazing for being pregnant, moving and chasing 3 kids around. I’m exhausted just thinking about it. Praying for a great delivery and for your move. 🙏🏻
Did not know about baby #4 congrats! Hope you enjoy the new house, but everything you have done to this house is beautiful would be hard to leave that awesome kitchen. Take care and stay safe. ❤❤❤❤❤
I swear I watch every video, how did I not know you were pregnant again! Can’t wait to see the new house and the baby when they arrive. Are you still going to have time for all of us?
Thanks for posting videos like this. I’ve followed the tips you gave in this video and previous decluttering videos you’ve posted. I’m more organized now than I’ve ever been.
Congrats on baby number 4! Best of luck ♥ As for decluttering: My husband and I moved into a new home last March. It's been over a year and our garage is still full of stuff we have yet to unpack or organize, most of which will be in the garage because I tend to collect craft supplies and Kitchen gadgets :D (when you said gadget garage, I had to laugh because that's what my husband calls ours). I have a craft room (spare bedroom) of supplies, and my Cricut is set up in the basement in my office (work from home). Anyway, I guess the point is - I haven't used most of those things in over a year!!! I truly need to ask myself, "Do I really need it?".
Tip for the “maybe” box is if you are at the date on the box, just donate it!!! Don’t even open it bc then your brain will still want to hang onto the stuff if you see it again.
A couple of months ago we were cleaning up the garage and there were boxes with newspaper wrapped items. At first, I started to unwrap an item and then realized if I didn't know what it was I wouldn't miss it (I already had not missed the items in years), so we just donated the boxes. A question to ask yourself is, "Can I live without this?"
Congratulations on a new house! We are looking for one too! Kudos to you for jumping into it! I appreciate your videos very much! I have a request. I have many heirloom items. Photos, vases, journals, albums, etc from my parents home and from their parents! I feel overwhelmed and it is all in boxes in our den. I can't donate or trash them. I feel like the steward of caring for these items. We don't have children to pass them to. Long story short. I'd love to see a video on storing these types of items without taking a lot of space. Keep up the awesome and quality videos. 😊👍
I love your videos! This was especially useful, my husband and I live in a giant old (70+ years) church and are hoping to down size. Needless to say, since we have so much space I've become a bit of a hoarder. So has my husband although he won't admit it. I'm one of those people who say "I'll toss this and then need it", after holding on to it for ten years. Thank you so much for this.
The Maybe box has been a game-changer for me, I prefer to call it the "I don't know yet" box, I put my stuff in it, and bring it downstairs into my storage room, not even putting a date on it, but then when I am downstairs again going through my stuff, I also bump into my box (or boxes) with "I don't know yet" boxes and most of the time I think "oh god yes that stuff still here", most of the time I didn't miss it, I forgot I even had it, so it goes. But also I have put stuff in my "I don't know yet" box and a few days later I realized "Oh yes I can use it for this or that" or felt the urge to take it out and keep it. Which I did then. I find it a very safe way to declutter and not later regretting it.
Wow, you're something else. I could not have done this while pregnant, my main symptom throughout pregnancy was perpetual exhaustion 😴 Good luck with babe #4
I have an organizer for my screws with the tool box. That's one thing that I have been good about. I hardly need to buy any. If only i could be that disciplined with crafts & gift wrap supplies 😂 I'm working on that. I've got it about 1/3 of the way done in the office. Plus, i found about a 3rd of my sons school supply list items in there unused. Mom win for sure. Save so much by overstocking last year, because go figure those were the items sold out already. It's not even July yet!😮
Congratulations on your growing family and new move!! I just thought of something- not sure if it's been suggested before- but my daughter (12) and I made an adventure a few weeks ago. Our town is a big advocate for the Little Library program. You can drive around looking or Google their website and find the locations in your neighborhood that have registered on the site. We donated books AND peppered most of her, High Five, Highlights, NatGeo magazines! She felt good, I felt good. (We did each find a couple of new reads- guilty ok!) But just another way to donate, especially since it was our book loving family and many books collected as a former teacher. I was about to rando cold call doctor's offices for the heaps of magazines so this was way less awkward!
I’m in property insurance and review large loss claims, total fire losses, etc. Years ago I came up with this test that I ask myself: If we lost everything, would I repurchase this item. Very good test and I’ve gotten rid of so much when you think about the insurance payment check and what items you would truly NEED to replace.
Congratulations on your next phase of parenthood, new home & family. With 4 kiddos you’ll need a new pair of “running” shoes to chase after them. Enjoy. ❤❤❤❤
It was Rachel from Nourishing Minimalism who commented about the poop. Unfortunately she is no longer making videos but I'm sure you can look for that particular video. Congrats on your new house Kallie. Jo from Australia xx
Every once in a while I will make a pass through our house and ask "would I move this?" It's not foolproof since even if I wouldn't move a particular item doesn't mean it's not serving a purpose...but it does help to put perspective on a lot!
One of the absolute first things I do when I move, is take down every single wall art, pictures, decor off the wall and box them up. I fill in all the holes and repaint the spots. It makes the areas in the home so much easier to declutter as you pack as it looks clearer.
Sewage backed up into my basement during a flood in 2020. I had poop in bins of baby clothes and pictures. I cant remember everything we pitched, minus the wedding and baby pictures. I learned my lesson on storage and what I am keeping!
We are retired and over the past few years I have given away literally 100’s of things, if it is something like a punch bowl, pasta maker, on and on…. I will ask the person that I gift it to if on some rare occasion could I borrow the item? The answer is always “of course” so that may ease your mind on giving away those random one use items! I haven’t ever borrowed back anything but it does help your brain when purging!
Congratulations on number 4 I missed that somehow. BUT here is mine, we used to move every couple of years for work and thus will it all fit in a 20ft container, now we have been in this house for 4 years and this country for 8 we have grown but I am always on the move to declutter. My downfall is I am organised enough to know where stuff is a year later. My hubby not as much.
Oh I love your kitchen! Exciting times for your family and cat wait to see your new house and kitchen. I’ve tried to trick my brain into the I’m moving mode but it’s difficult for me to do it. I have successfully decluttered my clothes and unused items in the last few months.
I watch all your videos normally but this one in particular has such good tips, thank you so much for making it, it was very helpful. I've just moved and moved the "junk" with me, I will be decluttering regardless now 😊
I've moved enough as a single person (including TWICE the same YEAR between COASTS) to ask: What is worth packaging and paying to transport across country. Because if you move it will COST you in driving, in packaging materials, in moving company costs, in the cost of your own time to transport stuff from one spot to another. And it may also cost you storage fees. That's when you have to move from 'would I buy this again' to 'can I just buy a replacement at my destination'. You work out the true value of the thing when having it or its twin will come out of your own pocket or bank account. And frankly, by occupying space in your home, you are paying rent on extra space needed to allow room for that item in addition to room for you to live.
Ugh, i can't get used to "that practical mom". i miss the "but first, coffee"😢
New studio, new name, new house, new baby, new content 👍🏾👍🏾 I’m glad you’re doing well
I can't believe you're on baby #4!! You're literally super woman.. how do you manage to be so organized , with 3 kids and being pregnant?! I have no kids and all the time and I have no desire to clean or organize lol you're a ROCKSTAR!
This is the 1st Time I hear so CONGRATULATIONS on your 4th Baby❣️❣️❣️
‼️ CONGRATULATIONS ‼️ on your New Home too❣️❣️
Bless y’all moving, pregnant, 3 kids; I was tired typing this! Seriously, blessings on your new home and next adventures!
It was ‘Nourishing Minimalism’ who asked the question, “do I like this stuff enough to wash poop off of it?” And I have to say, that is a great question!!!
Came here to say this ☝️
I miss her.
@@karenhaire5451what happened to her?🤔
I miss Rachel too!
And I heard it on A to Zen. 😂
#1 I think I missed your #4 pregnancy... congrats!! #2 cannot believe you are MOVING after renovating your KITCHEN and it turned out so beautifully! BEST OF LUCK!!!!
I’m shocked about the move after renovation too
Their house is really small. Not nearly big enough for 2 adults and 4 kids.
I was thinking the same thing. Aw well
Seven days notice for a move?!? Holy Cow! I've lived in my home since 1968 and have acculated so much stuff that I really need to get rid of. I'm imspired.
Kallie ~ You have the *MOST beautiful* children! I'd love to see more of them... so glad you're creating a big family for yourselves!
Congratulations on baby #4 Kallie! I hope your new home is all you dreamed of. I always enjoy your videos, I learn something new every time and I love seeing your adorable kids.
How exciting…baby 4 is on the way!!! Congratulations on the baby & the new house!! Can’t wait to see both!!!🥰
So much exciting news! Congrats on baby #4 and moving to a new house!

Congratulations on the new house. So much change this year for you and your family. So excited for you all .
Congratulations! Plz show us your new house when you're settled.
Kallie, Congratulations on the baby and new house!! 🎉
I'm so excited for you!
Congratulations on your beautiful family 🎉 What a blessing ❤
Can’t wait to see you unpack and organize your new home😊
Thank you Kallie! I love your videos. Congratulations on baby #4 and your new home.
Enjoy. ❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on your new baby and your new house !!!!!! Love your cluttering ideas. Hope you have a wonderful day !!!!!! ❤❤
It was Rachel from Nourishing Minimalism who commented about the poop. Unfortunately she is no longer making videos but I'm sure you can look for that particular video. Congrats on your new house Kallie. Jo from Australia xx
Congrats on moving! Can't wait to see the new house in your videos.
Every once in a while I will make a pass through our house and ask "would I move this?" It's not foolproof since even if I wouldn't move a particular item doesn't mean it's not serving a purpose...but it does help to put perspective on a lot!
Soooo happy for you Kallie!! Congratulations on baby #4!!
One of the absolute first things I do when I move, is take down every single wall art, pictures, decor off the wall and box them up. I fill in all the holes and repaint the spots. It makes the areas in the home so much easier to declutter as you pack as it looks clearer.
Congrats on baby #4. So happy for u n ur family. 🙏😘
Congratulations on your new home and as always for sharing your timely tips!
Great tips! Thank you! That pink lip color looks so flattering on you!
Congratulations on your new baby! I hope all is well. 💖💙
Hmmm. It felt like u were gonna stay in ur space for a while. Congrats on the new place. ❤❤
Sewage backed up into my basement during a flood in 2020. I had poop in bins of baby clothes and pictures. I cant remember everything we pitched, minus the wedding and baby pictures. I learned my lesson on storage and what I am keeping!
Would love to see a video about unpacking after a move and labeling stuff ahead of time to make unpacking easier.
Pretty sure that anecdote was from Marissa from A to Zen life. Congrats on the life changes … very exciting.
The original story actually came from my friend, Rachel, from @nourishingminimalism 👏
Cant wait to see the new house! 🎉
New baby and new house, wow.
God bless you!
WOW
Looking forward to seeing your new home 🏡.
Congratulations 🎊 on the coming of the new baby 👶 ❤️
Wow ! Another baby and a new home ? CONGRATULATIONS ❤
Congratulations on baby Number 4! So exciting and a new home! ❤
love the Little People barn - so cute :-)

Congratulations baby #4. And new home....stay blessed...love your videos❤
Fantastic video. Thank you.
Oh gosh! My mom always said new house, new baby! 🎉❤congratulations!
Hey Kallie. This was quite helpful. Thank you! And good luck with move, settling in and new addition.

About to have a 4th baby! Yay!!! I was asking too many questions too early. 😂
Congratulations!!!
I loved my bassinet attachment❤ I loved the English pram look. I still remember it fondly 😂
I watch all your videos normally but this one in particular has such good tips, thank you so much for making it, it was very helpful. I've just moved and moved the "junk" with me, I will be decluttering regardless now 😊
Thrilled for you! ❤
Whatttt?! Baby 4! Congrats! So happy for you and your family!
Very helpful. Impressive for you guys to move now. I needed these tips!
I've moved enough as a single person (including TWICE the same YEAR between COASTS) to ask:
What is worth packaging and paying to transport across country.
Congrats on your new house and best wishes for a healthy baby.
Great job on the video - congrats on the baby and the new house.
Very helpful video. Thank you & Congradulations
