Ok this is a new situation I have been running into as of the latest TODAY. As you know I have been interested in selling BEARINGS NAICS Code: 33299. So I put in the National Stock Number (NSN) to search. I find companies who sell these bearings, and I request a quote for the amount ask for in the Notice ID on Sam.Gov. Everything is good to go until the customer finds out that I'm trying to sale these bearings to Federal Government entities. They say they sale the bearings directly, and come back with a No-Quote/No Bid. But I see within my research a large majority of these solicitations go unanswered. Is there away to circumvent around this? This has happened about 9 different times from 9 different companies.
Cornell we need to talk about this. I discuss how companies do this, I'm not surprised. We need a strategy around this issue. It's a problem. First you should not tell them you're doing Government, 2nd you need to go to unapproved sources. Do these bearings have Tech docs. 3rd you also need to research these companies to see if they are winning contracts with DIBBS if they are don't request a quote. It's like talking to the enemy!
