    Great to see your stick movements. Inverted rudder grinds just blows my head at the minute and how you roll exactly the same both ways is mind blowing. Thanks Martin. 🤛

    It's kinda like watching a fast touch typist type or a piano player play. Trying to learn how do either doesn't come from watching their hands; not really. That said, observing your timing, pace and technique on the sticks in real time is very helpful.

    • @leeh9931
      @leeh9931 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get you linkage geometry correct and ensure you have balanced end points ie. 90/90 100/100 , not 65-90 etc and it will be very linear, and no curve needed.- 👍🏻the hodge

    • @dynodom4677
      @dynodom4677 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@leeh9931 Power development control strategy via a throttle plate results in a degressive power output curve.
      Power output Change is greatest at around 30-40 degrees throttle plate angle.
      Having said that, having the plate move exactly linear with the throttle servo and Stick movement, will result in a non linear power developing Motor.
      Hence a throttle curve needs to be programmed.

    Another great video martin, I'm 14 and from the UK, being to a few of your shows. I'm learning to fly 'pinch grip' and I see you also fly that way, would be great if you could give me a reply and just explain what's so great about it compared to just thumbs alone, thanks for your time. Stay safe 👍

    • @mtlfpv
      @mtlfpv 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Feels more precise to me, but I've also seen a lot of great pilots who still use thumbs

  • @leeh9931
    @leeh9931 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome Martin, notice she got a bit hot😃, the larger air exit will help much now 👍🏻, I was surprised vet smooth movements and mainly small to, naturally as you have all of your travel, but the high expo softens it and really seams to work well. What temp did the cylinder get to 170c!! +😟. Great stuff as always. The hodge

  • @Rooksaho

    I will never get how y'all can use your fingers like that, I just fly with my thumbs😂

    • @danieldavies8251
      @danieldavies8251 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's more accurate with finger 'n' thumbs so I'm trynna learn to fly like that but I'm getting there and I'm starting to see the advantages and I dont fly 3D btw

    • @RackwitzG
      @RackwitzG 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And I don't get how someone can fly with their thumbs. Too unprecise for me. But, if you can manage, go ahead.

    • @mtlfpv
      @mtlfpv 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Switched from thumbs to fingers a few years ago, took a few weeks to get used to it but now I could never go back to thumbs again lol, feels so much more precise

  • @GripperCc

    is it better to learn to hold the levers with two fingers than to just drive with your thumbs or is it a matter of taste? Thought about Tareq when he drives helicopters, he probably just drives with his thumbs. How much training is behind it to be able to fly this way.

    Hola Martín, cuánto exponencial usas? Yo siempre usé dual rates, y estoy pensando en cambiar y poner mucho exponencial y dejar "un solo rate" como tendría que ir haciendo el cambio y cómo lo tuviste que hacer vos al pasar de tener dual rates a solo mucho Expo y 100% en todo. Gracias

    Hola Martin
    Muchas gracias
    Muy util e impresionante
    Me imagino que tus expos estan por el orden del 70 a 80%
    Alguien mas consulto acerca de la configuracion de tu acelerador
    Nos das un poco mas de luces al respecto, es interesante ver que bien responden los movimientos del throttle en los momentos necesarios
    Saludos

    • @MartinPickering-PickeringRC
      @MartinPickering-PickeringRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Buenas Andres, correcto, rondo los 60-70% de expo, según el modelo puede ser mas o menos pero siempre buscando que los tres ejes tengan una respuesta similarmente suaves o agresivos entre si (por ejemplo, si tiene mucho alerón pero poco timón - mal! - tiene que ir todo proporcional)
      En cuanto al motor, suelo llevar una curva bastante agresiva, donde tengo diría que 80% del motor en el primer 50% del stick.
      Saludos!
