Or not, just don't be. I'm not being memey just don't. I found if I stop caring about the results and just enjoy the game regardless of the mode be it quick play or comp, I never get frustrated, a little disappointed sure maybe but never frustrated
That’s why I always use the ‘fall back’ ping whenever I fall back. (Especially if our tank doesn’t realise that the rest of our team is dead and that if we stayed it’d be a 2v5)
With an enemy hog the ana NEEDED to be aggressive with those nades while helping keep up their tank. Positioning so far back when one teammate dies was helping no one but the their stats.
Always nice when the only cooperation from a team is when they all decide to collectively throw because they're too mad to play together. 5 People all doing something at the same time is the dream, now if only, what they chose is to play the game lmao
if the ana player in this vod is watching this vid and reads this comment, learning when and when not to reload is also gonna help you with your climb many times where you reload 5 missing bullets when the enemy team is rounding the corner or your teammate is dying in front of you unbind your reload key if you must, but it's definitely gonna be a tough habit that you must break to climb it's something that seems minor but it goes a long way learning when it's appropriate to reload and when not to watch your vods back to see when you reloaded and think "was my reload fine here cause no one was in immediate danger?" or "did my teammate die because i decided to reload?" aside from that, your positioning is fine and your gameplay is good, i hope your climb goes well :)
@@watermalin That is hilarious. 'R' to reload is such a video game standard. Maybe this is your first shooter, but I kinda hope it's not. The thought that you are now going back to all the shooters you played in the past years and realize you could manually reload and be equally suprised at every one is making me giggle
Yeah, versus MERCY LW HOG, this Ana NEEEEEEDS to be using anti-nade or nothing is going to die. I see them just sitting really far back and healbotting and not putting out any pressure whatsoever, with their nade off cooldown for long periods of time. Also just not shooting the enemy much in general. (I'm only 11 minutes into the video rn but it's driving me nuts to watch this because I feel I see this kind of Ana in my matches a lot. I'll think "I should swap to Ana to anti the enemy team, that would be useful. ...Wait, we already have an Ana? Where have the antis been?!") edit: Ok yeah enemy dps Paranoia is just running the lobby. Btw the editing cut to well after round 2 had started was jarring and confusing to me, didn't like that choice tbh because I had to stop and figure out wtf was going on.
19:45 if u get stuck in a sniper duel (“can someone pressure the widow?” *crickets*), u can also use the unscoped shots to prefire a position they keep peaking from. in the time it takes for the projectile to travel, u can already be moving evasively, or even safe behind cover. and, w the hitbox changes, theres actually fairly large window of time for them to end up in its path, and that 70 damage puts a widow close to 1 shot bodyshot range for a lot of poke & dive heroes.
What I’m gathering is that it’s really important to push your advantage after capping first point! It’s such an odd spot where defense gets the high ground by default.
There's a lot of escort maps with strong highground on second point, but in Circuit the highground *is* the second point. You just gotta walk into a monsoon of bullets it feels awful.
Yeah, that second point is so hard to get a good positioning. Even tho it's a poke map I mostly pick a dive like sombra or venture to actually get some value, at least distracting the enemies so the team can push forward
I'm only like 8 minutes into the video but i feel like something that might help them is not backing up so much and so quickly on maps like these where your team is around a corner often. I feel like ana backed out and ran away far too quickly and missed a lot of value. And of course i'm sure it's mentioned but they definitely need to be able to see the enemy team to use anti nade and at least have the option to do damage.
Gotta say, aside from the spectating, really love the editing on this video! Music choice was really nice, and the timing of some, like the Phoenix Wright music at the start of second defense, were really well done. I also just like how it lets the game play out so there's a bit of downtime from Emongg's advice, which I think is a much better format for spectating since it lets you take in and think about what he says before the next thing for him to talk about comes along
ONly halfway through so maybe emongg mentions it later but WAY too passive positioning trying to preserve your own life and losing the ability to heal teammates or damage enemies. The ana keeps just standing around because they have no LOS.
I dont think this was any individual issue. They each play how their hero was designed for. The problem was the comp between their Tank and DPS. It never complimented each other but one time during overtime 3rd point defense. Rein, reaper, junk. Most of the time, the Tank when played a dive Hero, he didn't wait for his dps to go and dive in with him. By the time the dps gets there, he is dead for 1v 3-5 enemies, now they dont have a tank, the dps then gets rolled. Ok, so i guess its a little bit tanks fault for not waiting. Hehe
More on the dps if anything, they were getting rolled even when the tank was alive. Plus we've been seeing different games because the tank was staying alive just fine the majority of the game, hehe. Plus Ana was a pretty big reason why they lost, way more than the tank. Yeah the dps ran into the open and fed, but at least they were doing something. This ana was ALWAYS a step behind and was ready to run away the moment it looked bad. But yes, blame the tank, Hehe Hehe.
Not that it would have make a difference, but that Ana should work on their quick scope, there were times where they were trying to projectile heal, missing, an letting their team get low, when the quick scope is easier to perform and hit. Great positioning, small mechanical improvement.
This dude is the worst, I would hate playing with him as support. He's playing like if he dies in the game he'll die in real life. How on earth do you push anything as tank when half your support is always around a corner a mile away and never gives you heals. I bet at the end of the game when everyones dogging because him because they lost he says, "whatever I only died once."
kinda crazy that with Emongg being a tank player he mostly receives Support games to spectate. So few tank players in-game, so few tank players sending codes. sad.
You’re delusional if you think this guy can climb just from his positioning, his positioning was terrible. Yeah he was safe from getting picked off but played way too passively and provided nothing to the team other than healbotting, and didn’t even do a good job of that whenever anyone dove in because he’s standing by spawn not in LoS and ran whenever they got low or someone died. How he’s in Plat is beyond me
Had a tank straight up leave the game after two deaths on defense. Mind you, he yolo dived into the middle of the enemy team as soon as they came into view.
I feel like it’s more noticeable with tanks because they fill the role of 2 people. But I wouldn’t say they’re the most common, supps imo seem to get the most salty the quickest
@@hommefataltaemin ehh. I feel tank players are usually the chillest people, tank is such an annoying role in the first place. I may be biased as a tank main (even though my dps is diamond while my tank is plat) but you basically have to have a cool head as tank because to be effective you have to be the punching bag and the playmaker. Meanwhile if I’m on dps and I say something to the supps they don’t like, well, no heals for me that game! They also tend to deflect the most in my experience. You could also chalk it down to supps and dps just having a wider playerbase, therefore more toxic people
Love how everyone is hating on the tank. Meanwhile this Anna is 9 miles away and cant heal anyone. Cool no deaths....didnt help shit either. This went south in round 2 the tank hand enough of it. He should have gone hog so he could heal himself at this point. Anna was on standing on the first point peeking around the corner when the rest of the team is fighting under the bridge and the tank the enemy team held to by the broken car. This great positioning but usless if no one is in need. Also when 1 dps would die ANNA would take off and run back twords spawn leaving the rest to die to. But sure blame the tank because he finally said enough with it and just played like anna. 9 miles away from where he needed to be and hiding beind a corner not contributing
I feel so bad for that tank. This guy would clearly see his tank needing healing, the support wouldn't be in any danger whatsoever, and he would just... back up. He'd just hide behind a corner for no reason and shocker, his tank died. And he called that good positioning?
That tank wasn't hiding because of that. They were doing it because they were typing in chat and probably blaming the team. Exactly what it was said at the beginning of the vod. That tank threw the game completely in the third match. Even weaver had to pull them into the team fight when they were running away. This ana did a good job, sometimes they were playing way too safe, for sure, but that's the thing about climbing, you learn from your mistakes. Plus, their team was doing weird stuff, sometimes they played way too aggressive, sometimes they played way too safe, and nobody was on the same channel. Hard to know when their gonna do what
I disagree that they had great positioning. They played wayyy too far back and didn’t make enough effort to keep their tank in LOS. Also they would fall back while the fight was still in progress and possibly winnable. While I don’t agree with getting toxic, I honestly don’t blame their teammates for becoming tilted. Like Emongg said…this loss was a team effort. The passiveness of this Ana definitely contributed to said loss.
Looks to me like he made an effort to LoS himself everytime to not heal his teammates. Edit: also blaming the tank for not making space? How is he going to make space if you and lifeweaver are hiding so far back with no LoS? Sorry this seems like a hard throw from Ana and LW
That tank entierly threw the game in the third match. Even their weaver had to pull them into the teamfight when they were running away. It's so sad when people do something like that. 15:59 But they're all alive! This is not fair to the poor Ana. The last instance you talked about their positioning they were 3v5 if IIRC. The Ana was there for the Lifeweaver to make the good play last time and he saved the team. If LW didn't do that they might've staggered and lost the point, but if Ana had not backed up there would've been no one to save and it might've just been a roll to cap the second point. And now they are alive with the whole team. Sure, maybe the Winston can make plays with one DPS + our Ana against their team but that's unlikely, why go aggro and die and feed the enemy ult charge when you can wait for all 5 to be up and then go together. Seems like this Ana understands the limits of what they can do with or without the team, and not go feed when it's predictable that the outcome will be a loss anyway.
