Any night on the lake is a win. Both are productive. We’ve always felt jigging produces bigger fish right off the bottom. In 2-3 weeks they’ll be stacked up in the water column preparing for the spawn. Either are affective though.
The dipsys do work but I prefer downrigging to get deeper in mid summer. (60’ - 100’) You would catch more fish jigging anchored for sure. Many weekends people are trolling around us and we’re catching every few minutes and they go 30 minutes or more between bites
Looks like a beauty night on the lake. So I take it jigging is better than trolling to catch fish.
