CORRECTION (4:35 mins in): The MPC can auto-save. It will keep overwriting the current project though, so I still recommend saving in versions. To enable auto-save, go to Preferences -> Project Load/Save. You can enable and customise it from there. ADDENDUM: Multiple viewers have pointed out that you can also switch the metronome on/off (01:36) using the shortcut: Shift + Play Start. Thanks for sharing!
Super Noob here. 2 days old with my MPC and pulling out my hair..being 70 may be an issue also..lol. love the great way you do your explanations and the material is very useful. Thank you. The workflow? There's flow? Ok. I'll be patient but...maybe it's flow after a steep learning curve and adjustment to expectations and developing muscle memory and remembering the quirks like press the trim icon again to reveal another menu. WTF?
Glad you’re finding my vids useful! And I’m stoked that you’re 70 and working on a MPC, that is so awesome. I’m sure you can do it, just keep at it! What kind of music do you make? I’m launching one on one MPC lessons next year, let me know if you’d be interested?
I'd like to get into more of a Four Tet like feel with ambient flow and samples are a big part of that and incorporating synths. I love Bonobo, Thievery Corporation, Kruger and Dorfmeister etc. The samples on MPC are kind of limited in genre and that's disappointing. It's a slow process but the journey is half the fun. I may do your course if I decide to stick with the MPC..I am improving but there are some decisions about its limitations and flow. That said I did find myself making faster ideas and happy accidents. @@WatermarkHigh
To export tracks as stems: if you press the Menu button on the MPC, click Save at the bottom. You will have multiple options. Select Audio Mixdown. This will allow you to explode all your tracks.
This is virtually everything I’ve been looking for my MPC for the last year all contained in one video. I thank you so much sir. You are providing a wonderful service for MPC users.
Bedankt voor de mooi video!! I got my mpc one a few days ago and some of these tips are definitely useful, especially how to stop all audio by double tapping!
Haha! Thanks man. I’m really glad to hear that it helped. I’m actually busy with a video which will cover more quick tips, so stay tuned and enjoy your new MPC!
Finaly somebody addresses crashing issues. most videos act as if the machine doesn't have this issue.

Can we get more mpc one workflow videos in 2025? 🙌🏾 this helped a lot, been having it for a year now and finally pulled it out the box!

Total mpc nub actually a bit afraid of it. Sold my other groove boxes so it’s going to be my mum track making device from now on
You’ll get it, just keep making stuff. Once you’ve got your head wrapped around the basics, it’ll get easier! Enjoy! 🙌🏼
Thank you, didn't know the slide menu feature!

There is a setting in the preferences for auto save

Thank you.
You're welcome! 🙌🏼
I didn’t know about the shift+metronome but did you know shift+play start also toggles metronome ?
I posted a short about this a while ago and someone taught me that one in a comment on there, but thanks dude! Glad I kinda helped, haha!
Will add this in the video’s addendum (pinned comment). Thanks again 🙌🏼
What? There is a slide menu? :O
Yup! Haha!
Yes we have auto save on Mpc
Yep, added the correction in the pinned comment. Thank you!
Even quicker Metronome shortcut= Hold SHIFT and press PLAY/START(while songs plays or not).
