    Bro this the key-finding tip is great, that's been one of the major drawbacks is that I can't use other software inside the mpc to find the key, I'm sure most everyone coming here is finding that useful. I had to actually try it for myself before I came back here to give you the thumbs up and say thank you! It works and its great to stay inside the MPC and keep working.

      Glad it worked for you bro! I know it takes longer than a plugin, but it's still better than freestyling it the whole beat, lol

    notes, chords, scales assistance is one of the best features of One/Live. I was just tuning my kicks on electronic track. Its cool you are inspiring people to tune more to the song and really handy/simple technique!

      @@labandlegacy True bro. Up till now I have just been hitting random notes whilst playing my sample to try and find some that match but your systematic approach - find the root then use that to find the scale - is definately better and will make things so much quicker and easier. Thanks again my friend, blessings to you and your fam.

    • @labandlegacy
      @labandlegacy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not into the "drums in key" school of thought. Drums need to be tuned to taste absolutely, but the belief that they need to be "in key" is a bit ridiculous and more of a TH-cam thing in my opinion. Adjust the semitones until they sound good.

    Good technique, but ya gotta have the ear for it! Still think MPC should have a mf key finder.

      This is true, but if you can't match one note to one note you're in for a hard road 🤣🤣🤣 At the very least its training the ear 💯💯💯

      It's really not that hard to find a key of any sample when you got a ear for music like i do, otherwise training your ears will help a lot to recognize the key of a sample, it's really not that hard.

    The frame rate in your videos seem off. Seems a bit jarring.

      Thanks for the heads up. I'll check my render settings. I could be on the wrong framerates, plus I'm capturing to OBS so it could be a setting there as well.
