A friend and I drove over one thousand miles to see the fabled Hawkwind play two nights at 'The Empire' in Cleveland on Dec 5th and 6th 1990. The second night I braved my buddy's digital 8mm camera in and filmed an hour of the show perched from a nice loft position above the stage. (we drove over 1000 miles but only had only one hour worth of battery dont you know!).
Approx the first 50 min and last 10 min of the show was captured. That copy was transfered to VHS and soon after the 8mm copy was lost forever...along with my friend :(
Now that I've got a nice video capture setup, the one and only VHS master has been transfered
to a nice high quality divx rip.

I was fortunate to grow up in London during the 60's and 70's. Hawkwind were my "go to" band. Saw them play many, many times. Roundhouse, Kings X All-NIghters, Wembley Empire Pool, Edmonton Sundown and Glastonbury in the Pyramid....and so many more. I still play them when on a long drive. Brainstorm live means you never have to stop for gas as it has enough fuel to take you wherever you want. I so miss Del, Dik Mik, Lemmy, Simon (House and King), Nik T, Robert, Huw and Blackie. My son was raised on Masters of the Universe and Hurry on Sundown. Memories, memories, memories....Thank you for posting...I am here now and all is well...
I got to see Nik, Del and DicMic live around '92. That was a cool.show!!!!!
This seems to be one of hawkinds best eras! I am so jealous, eh I mean happy for you that you had the possibility to enjoy it

I went to this show with my older brother. This was the 2nd time we had seen Hawkwind in Cleveland with a year! This was standing room only, my brother and I were center - left, about three "rows" back. Dave Brock came out 10 minutes after the show for pictures and autographs. A great night!

My friends and I drove over 300 miles to see this...in a wonderful snow storm, from Pennsylvania. When I did a search for "Hawkwind Cleveland, OH" I had NO expectation of this. Thanks for the wonderful memories!!!
I saw the mighty Hawkwind exactly 1 yr earlier 6 th December 1989 at Preston Guild Hall It was my 18 th birthday ( mega mashed )

Sorry but after being a top fan for over forty years, I see a similar show to this two actually in about 1990 in Essex England, and London, and was very disappointed, I mean look at em now, much better. That's why I got into the rave scene around this time, there still my favorite band of all time since1981
