@@HPSupport after reading the article I am still not able to get the pen to work. It only works when plugged into a power source. This has not been the case for the last year I have been using it. Only yesterday it stopped working. The article did not describe the issue I am having. It seems like the rechargeable battery in the pen has failed. @@HPSupport yes, like I can spend sixty euros just because the tip is broken. That's just a marketing move and it's really annoying. Besides if the tip is broken it is impossible to remove the remainings. It really feels like hp just wants to make fun of its clients. All of that is just really embarrassing.

Hi, after hours of searching on the internet, buying and returning two incorrect pens, I am back to square one. I have no idea what pen to buy for an HP Spectre 360 laptop, purchased in 2016. The hp websites are awful. I just searched hp.com for the pen model exactly as printed on the pen package and got 0 results! It's a brand new pen!
This pen was working really great but has suddenly stopped working. I own HP Spectre X360 convertible 13-ac058tu. I use this pen om daily basis. I have tried changing the battery and contacting near by Hp world store but no one has a solution to the problem. So, I am confused whether to order a new pen as no one is able to tell what the exact problem is. I have wen through all the available threads, docs on HP Forum, wrote to HP support but all in vain. Please let me know about the problem and which other pens should be compatible with this model if I have to go for a new one.

Don't bother buying HP products with HP Pen bundle. It's fine for 2-3 months and then you'll get an error: *Sorry, HP Pen Control is not compatible with this computer* Ridiculous, and HP Support is massively unhelpful with their "standard solution" - "...Sir, could you please erase everything on your laptop and reinstall..."
I downloaded the app and as soon as I click on it it says "sorry, HP pen control is not compatible with this computer". I think I just wasted $50 on a pen that I went out of my way before purchasing to make sure was compatible with my computer. I checked all the product details and it only said it was compatible with hp devices, never specifying anything else. Blood boiling. It should not be this difficult to figure out if a pen is compatible with my computer before buying it. I am trying again and I will ask on a forum which pens are compatible before I burn another $50 or so.

I have the HP pen that came with my spectre x360 15. The pen is unresponsive unless I plug it into a usb c power source. The pen’s light shows white which indicates full battery to me but when I unplug it and try to use it, the pen does not register. What is the issue?

Only yesterday it stopped working. The article did not describe the issue I am having. It seems like the rechargeable battery in the pen has failed. I'm left-handed and rest my hand on the screen when writing, and I find that this causes problems for the computer when writing... so the only way to write it to hold my hand up completely and this is very uncomfortable. Is this everyone's experience? FYI... I have an HP Envy x360 15.

A big problem is that you have to buy a whole new pen just to replace the tip... they don’t give you an option to buy the pen nib alone

Hi, after hours of searching on the internet, buying and returning two incorrect pens, I am back to square one. I have no idea what pen to buy for an HP Spectre 360 laptop, purchased in 2016. The hp websites are awful. I just searched hp.com for the pen model exactly as printed on the pen package and got 0 results! It's a brand new pen!

This pen was working really great but has suddenly stopped working. I own HP Spectre X360 convertible 13-ac058tu. I use this pen om daily basis. I have tried changing the battery and contacting near by Hp world store but no one has a solution to the problem. There is a very small indicator light that is only visible if the end of the pen is twisted into the lock position. Once that is visible holding the button down seems to provide different indications after a long button press including what appears to be an off indication.

I downloaded the app and as soon as I click on it it says "sorry, HP pen control is not compatible with this computer".
I think I just wasted $50 on a pen that I went out of my way before purchasing to make sure was compatible with my computer. I checked all the product details and it only said it was compatible with hp devices, never specifying anything else.
Blood boiling. It should not be this difficult to figure out if a pen is compatible with my computer before buying it. I am trying again and I will ask on a forum which pens are compatible before I burn another $50 or so.
