Searching For An Old Gold Mine But Found Magnetite & Chalcopyrite! (Lucky Strike Property) $KLM

  • Searching for an old gold and silver mine on a river and a couple historic showings of mineralized quartz veins. Flying our brand new drone we lost GPS signal and the drone crashed. We explore the river on foot and prospect the area. To salvage the day we search an old logging road and find a new gossanous area. Ripping into the gossan we find patches of magnetite and fine pyrite. This showing is 150m from a showing we found 2 weeks ago with massive chalcopyrite over 4 meters. More samples are removed from this chalcopyrite showing.

    You might want to pop off one of those mini-blasters to break into the crust to find some purer, more massive depositing.

    OH, C'mon!!! You two afraid of the water? It's August, it's 98F , BC gets 7 weeks of summer but that river water will turn cold before the air does. I would look into float- sampling the banks of the river, esp that emerald green pool where your drone tanked. I had a great summer at the Sooke Potholes, found gold, got laid a bunch, I know you guys are technically working, but what about multitasking? You ever just camp overnight to avoid the morning commute? I remember great parties in Courtenay.

      The older the minfile the more off placed they are I find We will find it and it will likley be at least 500-1000m off.

    0:55 oh no! Looks like it didn't crash in the water ?

    • @911mining
      @911mining  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it was hovering around the corner past the bedrock that was sticking out about 10m above the water and the screen went blank and said GPS signal lost. I wasn't even holding the controller at this point and suddenly the screen turned on and it was chopping up leaves and spinning out. Landed on a rock and bounced off to sand about a meter from the water. One of the 4 arms broke. Cheap fix but the parts waits 3 weeks..

    Long time sub and devoted followers. Just curious why you haven’t spent any time staking your own claim on new grounds. Not a dig, just you have so much geological knowledge I’m surprised you haven’t grabbed a few virgin (or not explored well enough) claims?

    • @911mining
      @911mining  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have technically almost everything we show is on our own ground. But some are under option agreement and we are hired to do the work for the company. Essentially it's like a lease to own. Most of what you see starts out as ours but then we option it to a better funded company to progress.
