Donatello just can’t catch a break with his eyes. He went blind as an old man in the comics, he wears glasses in newer movies, and this concept had him slowly lose eyesight. Poor guy.
My opinion, if they were going to do something like this, they should use the idea of the image comics or “urban legends” it’d be nice to see a 5 year old shadow in this movie and king Komodo and pimiko could be the villians.

The director says it is a continuation of the show but the creator of the Franchise says it isn’t so ima hafta go with the creator on that one. And in that one scene in turtles forever the movie they showcased almost all the tmnt separate universes and they showed tmnt 2007 and and tmnt 1990 in different spots meaning they aren’t the same universe rather whatever occurred in the 90’s trilogy happened in the 2007 universe but 2007 further progressed
@@buckycharms5393well… Keaton’s batman has a multiverse of its own… it’s a branched universe with multiple timelines/b-universes so… there’s always a way to make it work
i think if they get super powers they should just get enhanced versions of the quality they already have, donnie gets super intelligence, raph gets super strength, mikey gets enhanced agility n reflexes, n idk how to enhance leo really, maybe enhanced senses since it could help him lead if he's constantly aware of the surrounding area, this makes more sense to me cuz it makes the turtles stronger but doesn't really alter how we've always known them to be
I don't think so, a common complaint among new fans/outsiders was that the turtles looked too similar, only differences being colour and weapons, so when making rise the creators addressed this by making them entirely different species of turtles and giving them stuff like goggles. They've slowly been changing since the 07 movie, Mikey being more rounded with the thinnest build, raph more squared off and the beefiest of the turtles, and Donnie seems Skinner than Leo in some lightings, most noticeable in the neck and shoulders.
Idk… feels like a perfect product for the 90’s… just Batman 89… it isn’t any good but the nostalgia factor hits and with the understanding of the era it’s a good movie.

Wow this is similar to rise of tmnt and how the turtles gain mystical powers but not by mutations over time. Donnie had a metal staff that was also very technologically advanced and allowed him to do many things with it, he also had goggles. I really like the concept that the turtles mutations would affect them in difficult ways.

I’ve heard all this before and it’s fascinating and all… but would it have really ever happened.. it’s so removed from what the original movies were.. I’m not sure this would have ever peaked past initial conceptualization of the story
What does this mean? Generally in TMNT the 'Prime Turtles' are in reference to the turtles from the Mirage comics. The movie this short is about would be a continuation of the 1990 live action movies. And Rise Donnie doesn't act or look like either Mirage Don or 1990 Donatello. They could have kept shredder alive at the end of secret of the ooze and then in the third film they could have had him returned and since we already had tokka and razzar in secret of the ooze then that means this time we could have bebop and rocksteady along with rat-king and superfly and then in the fourth film we'll add krang and cynthia ultron and the idea of them time traveling but they should film the fourth film in 2010 since in that year we had more technology
