The button shifter is not going to be an issue. The current lever shifters are computer controlled as well. The button setup will actually be less likely to have an issue.
Thank you so much for this review . I should be getting mine this weekend I was afraid to get it .. this is a confirmation for a yes answer on this baby😄🥰👍🏻
Just got this car and I have to agree.. overall, very nice car. Awesome interior comfort and tech plus it has the power. It is definitely a big, heavy car but you get a quiet ride that feels like driving on marshmallows.
I love how Ford's been stepping their game up w/ their products lately. My personal favorite if the Taurus. And Pedro's correct-o, the MKZ is the Lincoln-based Fusion and the MKS is the one based off of the Taurus.
That's right because the MKS is the "TownCar" of the Lincoln line up. I thought my MKZ was based off the Touras but u'r right it is based off the Fusion - totally makes sense now.
I test drove the MKZ a month ago and it is a superb car. I totally agree with your review, which is one of the few unbiased and truthfull. The loaded MKZ V6 is about $48,000 which represents the best value in its segment. With that amount of money all you can aspire with a BMW is an austere turbo 4 cylinder 328i without the amenities of this car.
Excellent review! I really love the styling of the MKZ! A perfect blending of classic Lincoln and modern design language. Seriously, this car is so much more than a rebadged Ford Fusion!
The legroom is a bit short, true, but as for the engines, Audi, BMW, and Lexus all offer 4 cylinder engines in their mid size-sedans. BMW, Mercedes, and Cadillac don't even have leather seats standard (and Lexus uses a cheaper grade leather unless you add option packages on).
Greets, Tony. Saw an MKZ the other day, and the design is definitely striking. On the interior, the push buttons for the transmission have that side effect of, even for you automatic guys, giving you nothing to grab onto in the center stack. All in all, good review, and thanks for give me and Bella a shout out.
Thanks for the response. If you had to choose between the Lincoln MKZ and the Toyota Avalon..which would you choose for overall luxury ride & handling, space and reliability? Thanks! =)
I think for 2015, Lincoln should use the 2.0L EcoBoost with 240hp, then the 2.3L EcoBoost in the MKC for 280hp, the 3.7L V6 and the 3.5L EcoBoost V6. Very simple way for Lincoln to broaden its market. That plus the Black Label design should make this car very attractive!
The audio worked fine for me. I just have to say, I'm pretty sure this is the only car review channel where the reviewer pushes the cars. LOL Great job making your videos not only informative but entertaining as well.
I have audio and unfortunate I also have video! Haha. J/K Tony. This car is a virtually a steal at $35K you can buy a loaded Fusion or 2 LT Impala or Taurus for 35K. And you can also have the fuel sipping Hybrid for $35K no up charge. My brother in laws parents just bought the MK-S they should of bought this. Tony Rocks! Keep pushing Play!
I do like the direction they went with the interior. As a neat freak however, seeing finger smudges on that center stack would drive me nuts. Lol, great review.
you had to throw out the reliability question :) Toyota - the new avalon is a more conservative choice - but it's a pleasant drive and will be there for the long haul.
Just like Buick, Lincoln has just turned their back on the traditional buyer (older folks) to attract the young buyers with all this complicated controls and such, we'll see if it pans out, I just don't see it happening. Also by eliminating the Town Car, they lost all the livery, limo and also fleet sales by doing away with the Crown Vic and having no other RWD platform to replace them. Good luck Allan and co.
I'm new to your videos..but I really love your style! So tell me..does this MKZ have a "Lincoln" ride when it comes to potholes and bumps in the road? I used to have a Lincoln back in the day..and I could go over railroad tracks and barely even know it. Thanks and I look forward to more of your videos. =)
TTAC just released a review of this car and found numerous QC issues with their car, including what they called a log time to engage gears once you pushed the button and numerous interior and exterior trim faults, inexcusable for a car that sells for almost $50k
I've been looking at this car for a while now trying to decide if I want to trade my 2008 Lexus GS 350 for it. I love the way the car looks but I think the interior may be lacking compared to my Lexus...
The Lincoln MKS is based on the Taurus platform. You ought to check that ride out when you get a chance. BTW, have you learned to drive with a standard shift yet?
Lincoln... 1. Design a sharp and elegant car 2. Put a bunch of fancy electronics inside, that will confuse old people 3. Give the option for a v6, that will frighten grandma 4. Put twin chrome exhaust pipes in the rear. This will send old people running This is how Lincoln will appeal to new coustomers
6/2014 - Just saw a new 2013 LOADED V6 model (45K MSRP) at a dealership on sale for just 36 grand....folks this is a STEAL. Only problem is I don't have the cash. Not my dream car, but up close this car is impressive....especially the interior styling...and this guy's HONEST REVIEW is nice...
The drive train and transmission in Lincoln/Ford will be better than Volvo, Audi, BMW and Mercedes because Fords/Lincoln are simpler; probably same with Toyota. The interior built quality in Lincoln seems below than Lexus/Avalon, but recent Lexus/Avalon also have known issues with rattling, broken headliners, freezing sound etc. I drive my cars 5-7 years, so I was asking myself if I would still enjoy driving Avalon in 5 yrs given the features? My answer was NO
The button shifter is not going to be an issue. The current lever shifters are computer controlled as well. The button setup will actually be less likely to have an issue.
Car is still doing good today
Awesome!
Thank you so much for this review . I should be getting mine this weekend I was afraid to get it .. this is a confirmation for a yes answer on this baby😄🥰👍🏻
Good luck - let me know how you like it 👋🏽
After watching your Lincoln MKZ review I took your advice, test drove one and now I own one! Thanks Tony for your honest review!
Beautiful👍🏼 enjoy the ride!
Just got this car and I have to agree.. overall, very nice car. Awesome interior comfort and tech plus it has the power. It is definitely a big, heavy car but you get a quiet ride that feels like driving on marshmallows.
enjoy it!
PrivateBeastly What's the average maintanence cost? is it expensive to repair parts if damaged?
apparently he stopped using youtube
❓
PrivateBeastly how has your reliability been over the years?
I like the car am considering purchasing one. I like this video this guy is funny but yet to the point.
I love how Ford's been stepping their game up w/ their products lately. My personal favorite if the Taurus. And Pedro's correct-o, the MKZ is the Lincoln-based Fusion and the MKS is the one based off of the Taurus.
mhill94 Pedro is always right :)
he is!

I agree - thanks for watching my video! Tony

Thanks my friend. The ride was pretty smooth. It's based on the Ford Fusion Platform.
FYI- You can also control your Radio via the Buttons on the Steering Wheel!

I have audio too... I like this car
Finally another video from the avg guy. I love this vehicle..... Been looking for an honest review of it
I think for 2015, Lincoln should use the 2.0L EcoBoost with 240hp, then the 2.3L EcoBoost in the MKC for 280hp, the 3.7L V6 and the 3.5L EcoBoost V6. Very simple way for Lincoln to broaden its market. That plus the Black Label design should make this car very attractive!
nice thoughts - send them over to Lincoln - they may give you a job in marketing :)
The audio worked fine for me. I just have to say, I'm pretty sure this is the only car review channel where the reviewer pushes the cars. LOL Great job making your videos not only informative but entertaining as well.
Thanks for your input. Keep pushing PLAY!
Lincoln was known for comfort and the best v8s
I have audio and unfortunate I also have video! Haha. J/K Tony. This car is a virtually a steal at $35K you can buy a loaded Fusion or 2 LT Impala or Taurus for 35K. Even if it is based on the Fusion, it is a great car!!
I do like the direction they went with the interior. As a neat freak however, seeing finger smudges on that center stack would drive me nuts. Lol, great review.
I have audio just fine. Thanks for another great vid - real man perspective.
funny. I thank you for watching the video :) I think It'll be a big hit - time will tell.
Thanks for sending me the footage! Bella Rocks! I'll drop you a note when I head to a city near you :) Yea agree on the shifter :)
yes - as soon as I find one! thanks for pushing play!
thanks! keep pushing PLAY!
no more Town car, I recall some of the the old 60's Chrysler cars had push button gear selectors as well, but all mechanical, of course.
the FIAT 500 :) but you're right :) since I pay for the cars that I review - I pick ones that I like for the most part :)
yup! thanks for pushing play!
Thanks for your input. I agree with you.
I thought so too! but it's actually based on the Ford Fusion :)
you had to throw out the reliability question :) Toyota - the new avalon is a more conservative choice - but it's a pleasant drive and will be there for the long haul.
you're English is great! thanks for watching my video!
yes on the interior
yes - I should have known that :) still avoiding manual :)
yes - sweet color - sweet ride!
thanks Ryan!
Please do a review on the Mkz older brother the 2014 MKS
right! thanks for pushing play!
thanks! I'd love to visit your planet the next time I'm in TX - let's make some videos!
I hear everything just fine. Great review!
smart - I'm sold!
Looks way better then the 2013 mks.. the rear deck is just clean and cut well.. to bad no twin turbo awd version
you are a smart guy! keep pushing PLAY!

thanks!
yep i have audio.. Tony can you make a review on the all new Kia Forte ?
Buy the damn car!!!!! Love your review!
They need to make the Livery line off of this. It looks WAY more dignified than that disaster of the MKX.
Thanks!
:) the town car lives on as a CUV - look at their website - I forget the model number
Thank you my friend for your opinion. I agree..you just can't beat Toyota reliability. =)
great review!
Its a 4 cylinder turbo. There is no NA 4 cylinder available. That already puts it ahead of competitors who have non turbo 4's as the base engine.
TTAC just released a review of this car and found numerous QC issues with their car, including what they called a log time to engage gears once you pushed the button and numerous interior and exterior trim faults, inexcusable for a car that sells for almost $50k
Its all good. Nice review
no doubt!
funny - I agree - at least as an option
Wish there was more long term reviews. My whole car has fallen apart and it has 31k miles. We have a second one that isn't far behind.
That's a good point. Consumer Reports does a good job with long-term data. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles
it looks good but i dont like the touch controls and having to change gear with those buttons sorry for my bad english :S
sweet! thanks!
i feel you my man!
thanks man!
they have the crossover Towncar no? I hear you and I told the viewers that you'd hate the push button gear select - lol I know you!
Precious car
Nice Delaware hat. Go Blue Hens!
👍🏽
I've been looking at this car for a while now trying to decide if I want to trade my 2008 Lexus GS 350 for it. I love the way the car looks but I think the interior may be lacking compared to my Lexus...
yes indeed!
Where are the auto window shades?
The Lincoln MKS is based on the Taurus platform. You ought to check that ride out when you get a chance. BTW, have you learned to drive with a standard shift yet?
audio works fine
Definitely drop me a line when you are in the Lone Star State. I got some BBQ I can take you to.

agreed
cool video this is Ryan Barrial
I know what you're saying - good for a lease though ;)
because I'm a clown and I always say "keep pushing PLAY" :) thanks for pushing play!

it was driving me nuts while filming it :)
i hear u

Yeah, checked everything, no audio in this video...
yes - I need a new case :)
can hear just fine
I have audio on my end - funny.
Well, based on my calculation, MKZ stands for "Mark Zephyr." You just gotta remember that MK means "Mark".
I didn't see them during the review
I will indeed! BBQ - word!
nice video, i enjoyed it
Daniel Trespalacios thanks! Happy Holidays!
no problem, Happy Holidays!
Daniel Trespalacios thanks my friend! Happy times to you too!
yay!!!
wow! three year lease :)
Why were you pushing the car?
there's an electronic parking brake
What is wrong with audio?
