- In this video we go back to Amherst county VA for deer camp! We had an amazing year with almost every hunter bagging a good deer. Great times spent with great friends and family is what its all about for us!! The weather could have been better but it did not spoil our great time!! come along and enjoy what we love so much about deer camp in Amherst, VA

Th songs by the older gentleman where absolutely great ,,this is what my America is all about ,,when I was four years old daddy took me to a Johnny cash concert In Winston Salem NC ,there he had hoss Cartwright, Dan blocker , who picked me up where I could shake Johnny cash hand , this was our lives before the ruins of cell phones and computers ,,,I still go hunting n fishing.
Thank you! We have a special love for the old country classics and the new and the new stuff that has that old sound and feel. Hunting and fishing are in our blood and the love of being in the outdoors is what brought us together and shaped the family we have today. Our children have grown up going to the mountains every year and we love sharing our experiences with everyone! Hopefully someone who has never had the chance to experience this type of family friendly hunting will be inspired to set out to give it a try and hopefully start their own traditions. Now thats what a deer camp should look like 👍. Years ago we had one similar and wish things did change but ... I hunted big woods in WV that looked a lot like yours there, to me thats hunting. Great video very good deer and I'm sure a blessing to have had another deer season, I've been in your boat.

Unfortunately I stopped by to introduce myself but you must have been out hunting. I own a cabin a few miles from where your camp is and been hunting for 20 years up here. Great to see family and friends enjoying nature together. Hope to meet you sometime! Your camp looks like ours. Family and friends!

Like the videos keep them coming. My grand son and myself are going to hunt the forest this week. Never hunted it before is there any help to were to start would help. Thanks for the videos, they are great. Ken
Thank you for watching! I’d say to hunt where the deer want to be, ivy thickets and small pine. At this point they have been pressured pretty hard. Hunt the does if any bucks are still rutting they will still be cruising looking for does that came in late. Don’t be afraid to hunt places that people pass by. The deer sign was much less this year where we hunt so don’t depend on only hunting rutting sign. Travel sign my be your only clue as to deer activity where your hunting.
