I will never forget three of my classmates were washed away but was later found. I never recovered from what happened to them and saw their little bodies. I find it fascinating how sharks will slowly evaluate the thing they think may be food. You can tell it turned to look a few times out of curiosity on whether the diver blowing bubbles, which was agitating the water, was prey.
Even though I don't ever personally want to swim with sharks and still don't consider it the best idea (😅), it is cool to see their behavior. They are so much more calm and graceful than movies and horror stories like to portray.
Dangerous? Yes, never underestimate a wild animal. Still amazing to see them doing their thing though. ❤

That is a very skilled man. I have worked with sharks for 15 years and the tiger shark is one of the most unpredictable sharks there is. Anyone that has a negative comment about this man you have no idea how much skill it takes. If you don't know what you're doing you could be lunch in a second as that shark is so fast if it wanted to it could have had him in a second. That shark is so smart it can sense if you are afraid just by the beat of your heart.

He is not skilled - he is just lucky. I have over 700 dives, many of them with sharks. And I have had tiger sharks swim by me all the time. But I have NEVER reached out to touch them. Two years ago I was bit on my leg ... a test bite. I got very lucky. By the time she came back for another go other divers surrounded me. Why did this shark bit me and all the others did not. Who knows. But sharks are motivated by two things...eating and f**king. The rest of the time they just exist until they do one of those two things. They are not killing machines and do not attack without a trigger. They are beautiful. But do not be confused. This is not a puppy or a playmate. It is an apex predator and should be given the proper amount of respect and distance.

@@angelmartin7310 like Ocean Ramsey? She studies sharks and shark behaviour. They don't have a
"connection" - she is very good at reading their body language and behaviour. If she cut her leg and bled into the water - they would view her as prey just like any other wounded animals. There is no evidence to show that sharks form social like orcas or dolphins or whales. We know very little about them in large part the most part they do They are opportunistic with regard to both.
This is also why it is so hard to collect data and study the social sharks.
They do not do well in captivity making it difficult to observe their mating, navigational, learning and social (or anti-social) behavior. But just because Ocean Ramsey looks like she is one with the shark - don't get confused. She knows it is an Apex predator but it is not some random killing machine. That is what she is trying to show. If you
understand them and respect them it is very possible to coexist in the water without needing to be afraid.

Not really, this is a typical inspecting behaviour. The shark is inspecting the weird presence they've encountered, check if it's a threat, prey or what the hell that is. Sharks don't prey on humans, but they might mistakes us for prey and take an exploratory bite (that may cost our live unfortunately). That's why attacks on divers are extremely rare. I appreciate them but I also feared them as I was in the Navy and at Sea alot and I always remember the men who list their lives in the story about the Indianapolis tragedy my uncle was a part of.

Seeing that person next to the Tiger shark really puts their size difference into perspective and how, at any given moment, the shark can have his way. The man only lives because the Tiger shark allows him to!

well and tiger sharks are kinda dumb. so if you just push their nose gently, directing them elsewhere, that's where they'll swim to 😅

That's true. These encounters happen all the time with divers. The sharks are not as dangerous as they are portrayed to be.

That shark is about 10 feet and to think the largest one on record is over 18 feet long!

Did the driver say he was ‘turned on’, or are we assuming things here? How do we even know he’s into sharks like that? 🤨

Ha big big sweetie? It's called not being hungry .I don't think sharks are sweet during World War Two when the ships sank and all the soldiers were devoured by white tip sharks tiger sharks and hammer head sharks. Watch Open water

@@patiorio1538 yeah absolutely look at her markings and how calm she is she's beautiful. And not hungry? Lol there's abit more to it than that but okay pal. I'm assuming your referring to the case of the uss indianapolis tragedy? For which I'm well aware of That particular one was Oceanic white tips and possibly tigers. Sharks do attack and eat people from time to time sure, but in all my years of interactions with them from spearfishing to freediving and surfing I have never been so much as bitten by one. So I like everyone else should take your uneducated statement with a grain of salt, because you clearly don't have enough information if you still believe sharks are mindless killing machines that will eat you as soon as they see you Lol. And I've seen open water not that it really matters 😂

The drooping pectoral fins indicate the shark is indeed a bit agitated.
