    I thought it would be worth doing as these cars are very spec sensitive so if you are in the market (and I know a lot of people are) then this video should prove a useful guide on what to look out for.

    So much of that should be standard. RS design pack is an example. It’s an RS ffs! Tints should be a no cost option too on a £50k car. Audi know how to extract more cash from customers 💰💰

    • @peterpan6821
      @peterpan6821 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Completely agree. The exact same tints on my Golf GTI were £90. I stopped looking at Audi TTs when I learnt that they don't even come with climate control as standard, only basic air-con. Far too much stuff is an option and they absolutely gouge you with the prices.

    "am I really selling this car" a minute before I said the same thing to my self "is he really letting this car go". damn lol. Its such a perfect all rounder. It makes an excellent daily with great practicality yet is crazy fast with good handling and if you really want to go a step further, that engine is capable of some serious power figures.

    I have the matrix headlights on my S3 and have had lots of people flashing me even though they are supposed to automatically block out the car approaching. It’s the same when you are following people - they see the trees in front of them lit up like daylight and think you have forgotten to dip. Despite this, the headlamps are awesome 👍

    The RS3 is my absolute dream car, being that I daily drive a 2012 Passat with an In-line 5, the sound is absolutely incredible. I really want this car so bad my god
    What’s awesome about my NA I5 is that it’s so loud yet the RPMs rise so much slower than the RS3 Turbo I5, so you hear the sound in all its glory. That’s why I’m never getting rid of my VW, because I want to be able to hear the NA version and boosted versions of the cars whenever I want

    "If you like colour on top of your primer" 😂😂😂 Brilliant.
    My Mum was looking at S3 saloon (I showed her videos of the RS3, but said she "doesn't want to make a racket"). We started speccing an S3 online, then realised they're out of production 😬

    In short...No 10k of options is to much on 40-50k Car, although it will be more valuable than a lesser spec RS3 it wont be 10k more probably not even 5k, But if you are happy and satisfied with your purchase then its its worth it for you. All the best Volkswizard keep the great content coming

    Matrix headlights are a MUST...an amazing safety feature for night driving. Great for passing slower traffic on unlit roads who either won't put their headlights on full beam..or have really poor headlights..as you light the road around them before and during your passing move!👍😎

    The way I see the whole safety risk of having the keyless entry/start thing is that at the end of the day, if someone wants to steal your car, they are most likely going to. It's not going to be determined by if you have the keyless entry or not, if they really want your car, they will take it. Could just be because I live in South Africa, but I do think that is the case everywhere.

  • @alpinab14
    @alpinab14 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    great spec , i personally would jump a lot more eagerly on a car with a nice spec like this and would defiantly pay extra for the more desirable spec, in fact i would say a car with certain items missing i just would not be interested in the 1st place , b and o and sunroof mag ride ect

    • @volkswizard
      @volkswizard  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks alpinab14! On the used market £10k of options still adds a large proportion of that onto the asking price. This car was £43k basic new and sold for £46k with 2200 miles. If it was basic it might be £39-£40k (that's what dealers were asking for ex-demo cars in the summer with low spec).

    • @alpinab14
      @alpinab14 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@volkswizard 100% agree , with those extras not only does it make it a far more attractive and enjoyable car but this car in particular will always shine and be more desirable amongst other used rs3,s which will always make it easier to sell on with a premium for the rest of it's life , tottaly worth the extras in my opinion , look forward to future vids good job as always thanks from Scotland

    There is one more way to recongnize the MATRIX LED from normal LED ,...
    The normal LED is 3 parts headlight (one the main beam and two the high beam, diverted by a chrome border)
    The MATRIX LED has 4 parts headlight (one for the Main beam, and 3 For the HIGH BEAM again diverted by chrome borders)
    you can check this at the AUDI configurator.

      I wouldn't either! You can disable it with VCDS and just use keyless start which is much more secure. £995 for that and B&O and rear view camera would still make sense I think and the next owner can have key-less enabled if they wish.

    Its called Black Optics Design Pack not not black styling pack btw. Full options is the way I went on my Rs3. The Audi sports exhaust is a thing of beauty the sound is intoxicating. The design pack and black optics pack is sick. That silver imo is the worst colour but Daytona grey is nice. I love Nardo grey though. The wider tyres allow for a better turn in.

    • @volkswizard

      Not sure which country you are from but for the UK market it's called the Gloss Black Styling Pack - you can see for yourself in this brochure www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/audi/production/PDF/PriceAndSpecGuides/modelpricelists/rs-3-sportback-and-saloon-pricelist.pdf . Colour is subjective (I dislike Nardo, Daytona is boring) but really there is no bad colour :)

I had the Viper green car in Italy for around 7 nights in June and was mildly concerned it wouldn't be there one day, though we were in the South Tyrol which I'd hope was less risk than the big cities, is that right? Luckily the hotel had a garage locked at night and the keys were kept nowhere near the car.

      I was a BMW guy, but and bought an RS3 last year. I drive so many M2’s and M3’s before I picked up my RS3.
      One thing I love the most about the RS3 is Engine, Sound, incredible traction, comfort, and looks.
      M2 was a fun car, but was harsh on bumpy roads and fought traction bad. It was hard to get up to high speed without traction always kicking in. With it off, all the tires did was spin on cold tar or wet roads.
      The M2 was also slow and didn’t impress me at all. Interior was not great neither. But they are a great price for what they are.
      The M3 was a perfect size car and loved it, but was really harsh, especially in the cold. The resale is horrible in the US and the have known engine issues with the S55. I’m glad I backed out on it.
      My next car will be a new R8 or a used Huracan.
      The RS3 has a special feel almost like a super car like R8 and Huracan, but in a small sedan form.

      Ryan the Boston Detailer Good to hear your thoughts and experiences on your recent experience with the M cars. For me, I can live with a car that’s comprised on road, if it shines on the track. That’s important to me. I do agree with you. The RS3 is a special little hatchback, and if you don’t bother going to track days, it’s the perfect fast road car.

      These will be on most cars very soon so no point avoiding them! Not been flashed by anyone while I was using them on auto main beam mode. And when there is no driver to operate the main beam in autonomous cars, the car will still need to 'see' in front of it so I reckon we are testing them in preparation for this inevitable switch over.
