    I just installed this and thought I was missing a 12mm bolt that videos state to screw in the black intake tube/pipe. It was frantic during install trying to find a spare one.
    Finally figured out that new version comes with a rubber insulator instead (black rubber piece with 2 studs coming out of it). You screw that in by hand and then put on the pipe, and then the nut on it from hardware bag. Hope this helps someone.

    Hell yeah. I've had it on my car for like 400 miles man. Well worth it.

      Hi! I have got ETS intake. Just wondering, is your car running well after a few months with it?

      @@joshwakawaka7409 yes, I bought mine with the box. Good fitment and shields it from heat soak pretty well

    Car needs a tune when installing a CAI u don’t want it running lean

    Where does the sleeve go?

      @trentonkrentz7542  หลายเดือนก่อน

      ETS didn’t introduce the sleeve till after my purchase. Never needed one cause I was already dynotuned. You need the sleeve if you’re gonna stay on stock tune

      Ran it on stock tune for 1,000 miles. No issues but did get tuned later. That’s when I found out it wasn’t the safest to run on stock tune

      Haven’t gone back to the track yet to compare. Even if I did. It would be hard to tell. The car is now on coils and bigger wheels since the last track day. But for looks, price, and easy install. I definitely recommend it

    Can you hear the intake sucking in air when your in boost?

  • @dumpjeep
    @dumpjeep 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Doing an intake is totally not worth it. It adds no power. You might as well keep your stock intake and enjoy being able to use your warranty in the near future when you spin a bearing.

    • @stevensanchez7556
      @stevensanchez7556 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s pretty much just induction noise. Not tuned gives very minimal gains. And no they cannot void warranty unless it’s tuned. And if you’re that worried abt warranty u can always swap the stock airbox back before taking it in

    • @dumpjeep
      @dumpjeep 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevensanchez7556 I didn't say void, I said you wouldn't be able to use it. The intake is sufficient grounds for denial of warranty repairs. Furthermore, if you have actually installed that intake without tuning, then RIP motor. You cant do that on a turbocharged Subaru.

    • @node1257
      @node1257 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      why is this guy so pressed about other individuals life choices? Also the intake goes down to stock pipe for the maf, therefore no need for tune. It says it all on the website

    • @BboySweenkie
      @BboySweenkie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dumpjeep you can, the ets and the normal have the same size diameter and angles, its just less restrictive

    • @dumpjeep
      @dumpjeep 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BboySweenkie unfortunately that may be true with a naturally aspirated Subaru but not with a turbo. Your engine will lean and go into limp mode once you hit cold weather, broken pistons or bearing damage will result. ETS doesn't care because you have no recourse and 99.999% of people are not ignorant enough to do an intake on a forced induction car with no tune.
      Furthermore, unless its a MAP tune, a tune cannot help deal with turbulence at the MAF due to improper pipe diameter. So whatever youre trying to say about that has no bearing on the lean conditions you're creating.
