I'm trying this now but outside, growing in an old big square mop bucket type of thing, with a big crack in the bottom and I put pieces of a broken pot at the bottom for drainage with good soil, it's a fairly big/deep bucket, on day 10 now, it's looking good so far, seedlings popped up day 3-4, now the main leaves are starting to grow, I did them close too like you did, about 200-300 seeds maybe in the bucket, I look forward to a nice thick hedge of mixed lettuce growing out of it in a few weeks.
I am happy to see yours. Mine is still at day 5 stage. its not at all growing. I bought organic seeds only and have miracle$go soil only. Please suggest what can I do?
@@whatwhat7798 its been 3 weeks and at same stage. I am using good brand potting soil . And when I checked one of the root and it is not at all growing. Not sure what could be the reason. All remaining plants are fine with same soil.
Mine have been three days and are sprouting, no leaves and it’s 74-79 inside I use a desk lamp that just so happened to be a daylight but it’s not a designated plant light

Seeds may take longer to germinate if they do not have good levels of moisture and warm temperatures.
