Glad to see someone else liking Emilie! Girlie got MAJORLY fucked over by all of her concept art leaking. I genuinely believe if she didnt get all her concepts leaked people would adore her design, but because everyone had a favorite concept they desperately need to find reasons to hate what we got. "her hair doesnt match" "shes too green" ect ect. Every reason people have had to hate her design has made little to no sense at all in proportion to how much people hate her 😭
I’ve gotten used to her design now, but the two things I still don’t like is her hair and her model type. I think the hair is just way too bright compared to her outfit, so it kind of stands out too much. Reminds me how I felt about Kuki, where the green stood out so much it felt weird, I got used to it though so maybe I’ll get used to Emilie’s hair idk. And for the model, I realized how her sprite art makes her look like a tall model, but in game she’s a medium model. I think that illusion just makes her in game feel disappointing in a way? I feel like she’d look better with a tall model but idk HAHA
I’m so disappointed by the absolute slander she’s been getting. She seems so fun and I’ve been hyped for her since her announcement. The only thing that’s preventing me from going all in right now is the 4 stars, if I lose the 50/50 I’ll wait for the rerun and save for the pyro archon. Used everything unfortunately but I won the 50/50 for her! Will be building her using Deepwood as I have no reason to farm the newest artifact domain and either Missive or Deathmatch (probably Missive for aesthetics). And yes, having comfort is definitely worth it! I already have Yelan and actually won her bow in 40 wishes just yesterday so....yeah I'm set. 5.0 may be a pass for me but I'm cool with that. I'm currently aiming for Citlali and Mavuika anyway and they may not run anytime soon. And who knows what other characters may be revealed between now and the Natlan Archon Quest.
Of all characters that would tempt me to break my Capitano savings, I did not expect it to be Emilie. Edit: well I don’t have to worry about the Capitano issue cause I got this really cool blonde character that has a strong connection to flowers… Jean! Her teams are ehh now but she’s going to be one of those “damn I wish I pulled her” characters. We already know kinich synergizes and I’d bet my bottom dollar the pyro archon is gunna be huge with her. But we shall see
If the pyro archon brings buffs of any kind, Emilie's sub DPS is gonna be even more insane. Currently, she actually outclasses Xiangling's dmg in mono pyro burning comps with equal investment.

@@skoverton5553 Sadly, they are selling us a solution to that. Her C2 is -30% dendro resist. Kinich's C2... -30% dendro resist. That said, her big drawback is that she has a teaming requirement... she needs burn to happen. That isn't quite as restrictive as Chiori's construct (reduced to just geo at C1) requirement, but also isn't as easy to build around, as you have to find the right mix of application. Beyond that, I think she's also a bit hampered by lack of dendro DPS options, which means she's a bit more restricted in terms of ER (and this also plays into the big advantage her signature weapon has over other options), and direct damage dendro damage generally being paired with electro. But Kinich should help with that.

As for the team thing yeah she needs pyro. But a ton of teams want pyro? People hatelove xiangling but without Bennett she’s a nightmare to play. Maybe I’m coping but I actually think she’s pretty flexible. The only thing she can’t really combine with is double hydro or double electro since it’s just too much application. She’s basically albedo but does more damage, scales on attack, batteries an actual reaction, and not only has an ult but it repositions her totem.
I think, like Furina, the pyro Archon will syngerize with so many people that it won't really matter and those people who skip her ultimately won't miss out in that sense. It's like how if I didn't pull Neuvillette I still have many teams that want Furina.

Really glad I pulled for her. Besides her burning team, she's actually pretty good in Nilou bloom as well. I also love the fact she isn't clunky. Sorry Nahida, but reapplying your E through waves can break rotations.
Got both her and her weapon on 50/50 she’s fun and comfy and i definitely like her design compared to Natlan characters (design not color which is irrelevant to me ) I got C6 Kirara recently so she’s great partner for main Emilie teams.
im trying to get yelan first, but i really want her on her rerun. she has imo one of the prettiest hairstyles in the game, and i love her burst animation
initially i was gonna pull her because she seemed like she would be the new thing buffed by the archon (like electro w/ nahida and healers w/ furina) but now after doing her story quest and staring at her character design for a while i just really want her for her really pretty design and new comps she opens up
Its very funny that emilie is mentioned in events, by npc and in character profiles since 4.0 She is very fun, its nice to have a sub dps that isn't xiangling, and she already has plenty of teams she is meta in, any melt comp, mono pyrno comp, stuff with furina and even units like cyno or gaming can use her, and of course burning is highlighted. I got lucky on her and end up with c1 in 50 pulls and have 46k left for Natlan.

I'm still torn between pulling now in fear of Emilie not coming back, or leaving her for her rerun, and wait how Natlan fares, because I really like her, but between her, Kinich, and Tsaritsa and Dainsleif coming in the future, I need to play it smart. But I like her a lot.
There is no character that is "not coming back" as of now, aside from clearly stated standard banner additions ... it may take a while, in unpopular/niche cases like Eula/Shenhe/Albedo, but thats about it. Also Tsaritsa and Dainsleif are ridiculously far away to already worry about them as anything remote close to an active player, even f2p, unless you wanna get C6 for them.
U just changed my opinion on her. To me she didnt feel strong in the trial but now that I saw this video I am considering getting her on the next banner. I am currently pullinh for C1 Yelan
Saved up 70 wishes with pity 50 no guaranteed on the character banner. I wanted Emilie but I also wanted yelans bow so I decided the weapon banner will decide for me. Well after 50 pulls I got Emilie's signature and did a ten pull and got Emilie on the character banner. Very happy :D
Finally another Emilie liker!! Idc about her concept art her design is still beautiful and I love how she’s one of the few female characters that has actually short hair.. not pulling for her because I still need to save for my king Capitano but it’s nice to see some Emilie appreciation 🫶
I did a ten pull after pulling a number out the hat that Lynette gives you and got double Emilie on 30 pity. Glad all my saved up primogems are still here for Natlan characters
Emilie was actually extremely quick for me to build, since I only plan to use her in solo dendro teams. Just throw on your best Deepwood pieces for a crit dps, your Missive Windspear or whatever random 5-star polearm you have lying around, and I even had all the talent books ready because none of my other characters used them. Literally just had to farm the world boss and she was ready to go and flying on in to all my burn teams as a Nahida alternative.
i got her! but i wont be building her yet since I'm focusing on strengthening my other characters first. can't wait to test her out with kinich and mavuika!
The reason Emilie's design is hated is because she isn't the lavender lady in the leaks. I'm not sure if those leaks were even real but if they were it was just concept art. They're are not final and in some way they decided the lavender design didn't work and i have to agree. It's was a good design but in no way would have complimented her personality shown.
I personally still prefer her old pastel colors design more than the "green dendro" design, and i needed Yelan more than her, but still hoping all Emilie wanters will be Emilie havers🎉🎉
they did emily dirty by 1 putting her against yelan and 2 putting her just before natlan!!! i've been saving for yelan for 3 patches and i also want her bow. i don't think there'll be many f2p players pulling emilie for those reasons alone. idk what's the hate about tho never heard of it. emili's design seems awesome! sadly i never farmed the bond of life domain or have any good polearms lol
The BoL set performs about equally to the dendro set for her, provided you don't have something else providing a dendro resist debuff (Zhongli, another character in that set, or certain constellations). Weapon-wise, her best "F2P" option for damage numbers is the Missive Windspear, so if you have that, you're set. If not, there's always fav. Also, there's always a high value/interest character on the current banner, just before, or coming soon. A character that isn't seen as meta or the hot new thing will therefore always be "done dirty". Or, in other words, the likes of Yoimiya doesn't get skipped because she faces stiff competition. She gets skipped because people want other characters more than her.
In 80 pulls I got both Yelan and Emilie and won both 50/50 ✌️😌 and I am verry happy with Emilie. Her design is one of the best for me and I love her gameplay and ofc dmg 👀

You know farming bosses now isn't bad at all now,it's quite the opposite, you can spam bosses now, yeah it feels weird to not wait like 2 mins for the boss to respawn it's nothing compared to how it was b4
Burning can be a fun reaction to play with. There's a really strong reverse melt comp called burn melt where you inflict Dendro and Pyro first for burning and then inflict Cryo and the idea is that because the burning aura is considered pyro aura it results in melt and because Dendro and Cryo don't trigger a reaction there's no interference between the two. What this also does is that the burning aura will not be destroyed after triggering melt meaning you only need one unit of pyro.
I use my Natlan savings too but on Navia instead, cuz she's the last puzzle piece I need to balance my account for IT and get more free primogems income. But I'm so sad too cuz I cannot pull Emilie, even though I was in love with her beautiful eye, but my primogems count isn't enough for her 😢
i think bc burning is a very strong niche with emilie as the main enabler, she is worth pulling if you have a team that can support the burning playstyle. im so conflicted on whether to pull and force her into deepwood or build her niche as burning with her BiS ;-;
I love emilies potential, and even if I don’t prefer her design. Honestly I think she has a chance to be great! I personally am not pulling because I’m not that big on dendro, and I have no time to build her right now. But she deserves better ❤
Even though I went for her and her weapon, I will admit I still don’t like her design (that is personal and subjective). However I got her because as a veteran player I know the importance of the last release character (aka Kazuha, Kuki and Baizhu). I can’t wait to see her be bis for Kinich, Pyro archon and pyro sovereign
I pulled for her and won but my friencs called me crazy, but shes nice! i have her at c0 with no signature, using with gaming, bennet and kazuha, i need to change gaming to xiangling. I'll try to get Kinich as well, because people were saying Emilie is good with him tho i dont know how
I am all on board for emilee, burdgeon sub dps leading into the fire themed country? Im on board. Havre my all spear team for shits and giggles and have a c6 benny so i can play using her as main dps for again, shits and giggles on a second team.
i was doing the "harmless 10 pull" behavior, and get her lmao and oh well i just commited to get her weapon but lose 2x. Good thing i dont spend all my saving (50 pull left) and only used like 80-90 pull totals for Emilie and her signature + aqua. After abit playing her she is fun and chill but i hope natlan will make her more shine, especially i have set my goal to pull for natlan archon only but i will see it for myself. Overall i love her design , kit ? I am not sure but I like her fully from top to bottom.
She intrigued me despite not having much marketing and I was luckily able to win my 50/50. I don't regret pulling her at all! I really like her play style right now (I personally love off field sub/main dps characters like Ganyu and Ayato) I don't have Yelan but I don't really ever attend to pull her since I would just use Ayato or Xingqiu. My Emilie is level 68 (no books.) with level 4 talents. I put favonious lance on her and while fighting a boss, I saw a 42k while she was low level and it was surprising. Nonetheless, I will continue to grind for her since I also don't have the best artifacts. She will defiantly be staying on my teams with Arlecchino. I've been thinking of using other characters (namely 4 stars) that could potentially help her. I also plan to pull for the pryo archon and am excited to see more from Natlan. Overall, I love Emilie.
I actually love Emilie’s design. I agree with the fact that maybe there is a bit too much green, but at the same time, she still looks great! I also appreciate that we finally have another female character with short hair. It’d be nice to see some male characters in the future with (actually) long hair that isn’t in a rat tail… 😭
Hi. Great vid! I'm always drawn to characters like that. So those that are criticized too much even before they are released. Tbh I liked her look on first sight. She is cute and I love the green nuances around her. So I start thinking if I should pull her.... now I did it. Loosed my 50/50 on Dehya but after 30 pulls she came home...phew She is lv 70 now ( still building, running out of mora ) but I prefarmed her set and leveld her talents. After some testing with her I have to say that she is a good and easy to play char. And with some investment and the right team I am sure she is doing pretty well. Also bcs she is related to the burning reaction I think Natlan will fit her. I don't regret getting her. The next one I will go for is Mavuika and until she comes there is enough time to farm 😁 Have a nice day ☀️
If it was for design then it's good but if you or anyone pulling characters for abyss then it's just 100 primos so pull which character you like it's chiori or Emilie it's fine
dude when i see this patch banner, i was ready to retired if my pulls sucked. i really want emilie, but i dont need another copy of xiangling and yanfei. even my razor is already at c4. But turns out the goddess of luck was on my side. Got emily and her weapon in just 50 pulls lol (20 pull emily banner and 30 weapon banner), got 1 razor too. hoyo really need to fix this 4 star gacha system in someway
my only 5* hydro character (aside from Mona) is Furina so yeah I needed Yelan, but I would pull for Emilie in a heartbeat if I had Yelan already. I don't understand hate she's getting too, I don't particularly like her visually but I need her just because I already have every dendro character there is 😌
I was saving for Kinich but gave in and pulled her...SHES JUST SO PRETTY!! I find the hate extremely annoying... Apparently 5.0 will give plenty of primos so I hope I get lucky enough to get Kinich so I can put them in a burning team together :D
I pulled for her for the same reason.... I already had her artifacts (plus a misif windspear no one was using) and it seemed rude not to use them. I said I'd only try 50 pulls and got her on 49 so I'm happy. Really enjoying her and glad I went for it and spent some of my Natlan savings. I do already have yelan though and given the choice I'd recommend yelan over her, but for me, yeah Emilie's great.
As an f2p/low spender, I’m saving for Kinich and was considering pulling Emilie as a sub-dps bc of kit leaks, but I don’t have the savings, except I’ve been watching so many reviews and she looks like she would be great with Kinich so I might pull and possibly lose my savings. I got 2 times her weapon, and im not sure if i want to pull her. Im afraid she will be treated like Eula. At first everyone will be: Go girl, we support you etc. But after her banner she or more likely Physical/Burning will be forgotten.
I'm a returning Genshin player (played for the first couple months Genshin was out, recently came back in June) and Yelan was just more flexible than Emilie is. And whatever I have leftover from Yelan now, I need to save for Kazuha, Zhongli, Nahida, and Pyro Archon. So I'm passing, not because she doesnt look neat, but because there's just too much else I need.
I used my guaranteed 5* for her used my extra primos for her weapon and i got it. right now my Emilie sits on 70cr, 206cd, 137er with the burning artifact set but i can still get it higher coz my flower arti is trash atm and her weapon is lvl80 just need to farm for those mats to max it out. I also double crown her and i must say she didn't disappoint me❤
Why not try the hydro/electro vishaps in the newest water zone? Masanori's pretty outdated as a dps check. There's also the 4 repeatable bosses in Sumeru you can fight that the aranara will respawn infinitely
I actually pulled for her (after accidentally getting her weapon when I was trying to get Aqua Simulacra) but unfortunately I lost 50/50 so I'm gonna save my guaranteed for Xilonen. Even though she seems to be good atm I'm guessing she's gonna be even better in Natlan :). So probably I'll pull on her rerun banner now that I have her weapon.
Currently 35 pity, only getting four star weapons still why is this happening this is the fifth time I'm going on a four star weapon spree. I hope I don't lose the 50/50 because I've been waiting for her. If I do I just hope it's Qiqi or Venti.
I think genshin did her so dirty not only with the marketing but the banner placement, she’s put right before natlan, and next to navia, nilou, and YELAN, all units that have been proven to be extremely good, yelan especially so. Baizhu is the only season finale character that wasn’t a rando from nowhere. (Like Emilie, Kazuha and Yelan were also randos.)
her E is "archon" level, which I like, and one of her passive is a must if you want to play burning-focus team

initially i was gonna pull her because she seemed like she would be the new thing buffed by the archon (like electro w/ nahida and healers w/ furina) but now after doing her story quest and staring at her character design for a while i just really want her for her really pretty design and new comps she opens up
I am having so much fun trying her in different teams, and she feels so good to play in any team I use, which is really surprising !!
Its very funny that emilie is mentioned in events, by npc and in character profiles since 4.0
She is very fun, its nice to have a sub dps that isn't xiangling, and she already has plenty of teams she is meta in, any melt comp, mono pyrno comp, stuff with furina and even units like cyno or gaming can use her, and of course burning is highlighted.
I got lucky on her and end up with c1 in 50 pulls and have 46k left for Natlan.

I'm still torn between pulling now in fear of Emilie not coming back, or leaving her for her rerun, and wait how Natlan fares, because I really like her, but between her, Kinich, and Tsaritsa and Dainsleif coming in the future, I need to play it smart. But I like her a lot.

There is no character that is "not coming back" as of now, aside from clearly stated standard banner additions ... it may take a while, in unpopular/niche cases like Eula/Shenhe/Albedo, but thats about it. Also Tsaritsa and Dainsleif are ridiculously far away to already worry about them as anything remote close to an active player, even f2p, unless you wanna get C6 for them.
U just changed my opinion on her. To me she didnt feel strong in the trial but now that I saw this video I am considering getting her on the next banner. I am currently pullinh for C1 Yelan

Saved up 70 wishes with pity 50 no guaranteed on the character banner. I wanted Emilie but I also wanted yelans bow so I decided the weapon banner will decide for me. Well after 50 pulls I got Emilie's signature and did a ten pull and got Emilie on the character banner. Very happy :D

Emilie was actually extremely quick for me to build, since I only plan to use her in solo dendro teams. Just throw on your best Deepwood pieces for a crit dps, your Missive Windspear or whatever random 5-star polearm you have lying around, and I even had all the talent books ready because none of my other characters used them. Literally just had to farm the world boss and she was ready to go and flying on in to all my burn teams as a Nahida alternative.

The reason Emilie's design is hated is because she isn't the lavender lady in the leaks. I'm not sure if those leaks were even real but if they were it was just concept art. They're are not final and in some way they decided the lavender design didn't work and i have to agree. It's was a good design but in no way would have complimented her personality shown.
For fun, I made a summons only hyper/burgeon team with Emile/Dehya/Fischl/Furina. It was hilarious how things died without my input XD

The BoL set performs about equally to the dendro set for her, provided you don't have something else providing a dendro resist debuff (Zhongli, another character in that set, or certain constellations). Weapon-wise, her best "F2P" option for damage numbers is the Missive Windspear, so if you have that, you're set. If not, there's always fav.
Also, there's always a high value/interest character on the current banner, just before, or coming soon. A character that isn't seen as meta or the hot new thing will therefore always be "done dirty". Or, in other words, the likes of Yoimiya doesn't get skipped because she faces stiff competition. She gets skipped because people want other characters more than her.
In 80 pulls I got both Yelan and Emilie and won both 50/50

Burning can be a fun reaction to play with. There's a really strong reverse melt comp called burn melt where you inflict Dendro and Pyro first for burning and then inflict Cryo and the idea is that because the burning aura is considered pyro aura it results in melt and because Dendro and Cryo don't trigger a reaction there's no interference between the two. What this also does is that the burning aura will not be destroyed after triggering melt meaning you only need one unit of pyro.
I use my Natlan savings too but on Navia instead, cuz she's the last puzzle piece I need to balance my account for IT and get more free primogems income. But I'm so sad too cuz I cannot pull Emilie, even though I was in love with her beautiful eye, but my primogems count isn't enough for her 😢
i think bc burning is a very strong niche with emilie as the main enabler, she is worth pulling if you have a team that can support the burning playstyle. im so conflicted on whether to pull and force her into deepwood or build her niche as burning with her BiS ;-;

I love emilies potential, and even if I don’t prefer her design. Honestly I think she has a chance to be great! I personally am not pulling because I’m not that big on dendro, and I have no time to build her right now. But she deserves better ❤
Even though I went for her and her weapon, I will admit I still don’t like her design (that is personal and subjective). However I got her because as a veteran player I know the importance of the last release character (aka Kazuha, Kuki and Baizhu). I can’t wait to see her be bis for Kinich, Pyro archon and pyro sovereign

I am all on board for emilee, burdgeon sub dps leading into the fire themed country? Im on board. Havre my all spear team for shits and giggles and have a c6 benny so i can play using her as main dps for again, shits and giggles on a second team.
i was doing the "harmless 10 pull" behavior, and get her lmao and oh well i just commited to get her weapon but lose 2x. Good thing i dont spend all my saving (50 pull left) and only used like 80-90 pull totals for Emilie and her signature + aqua. After abit playing her she is fun and chill but i hope natlan will make her more shine, especially i have set my goal to pull for natlan archon only but i will see it for myself. Overall i love her design , kit ? I am not sure but I like her fully from top to bottom.

She intrigued me despite not having much marketing and I was luckily able to win my 50/50. I don't regret pulling her at all! I really like her play style right now (I personally love off field sub/main dps characters like Ganyu and Ayato) I don't have Yelan but I don't really ever attend to pull her since I would just use Ayato or Xingqiu. My Emilie is level 68 (no books.) with level 4 talents. I put favonious lance on her and while fighting a boss, I saw a 42k while she was low level and it was surprising. Nonetheless, I will continue to grind for her since I also don't have the best artifacts. She will defiantly be staying on my teams with Arlecchino. I've been thinking of using other characters (namely 4 stars) that could potentially help her. I also plan to pull for the pryo archon and am excited to see more from Natlan. Overall, I love Emilie.

I actually love Emilie’s design. I agree with the fact that maybe there is a bit too much green, but at the same time, she still looks great! I also appreciate that we finally have another female character with short hair. It’d be nice to see some male characters in the future with (actually) long hair that isn’t in a rat tail… 😭

Tbh I liked her look on first sight. She is cute and I love the green nuances around her.
So I start thinking if I should pull her.... now I did it. Loosed my 50/50 on Dehya but after 30 pulls she came home...phew
She is lv 70 now ( still building, running out of mora ) but I prefarmed her set and leveld her talents. After some testing with her I have to say that she is a good and easy to play char. And with some investment and the right team I am sure she is doing pretty well. Also bcs she is related to the burning reaction I think Natlan will fit her.
I don't regret getting her.
The next one I will go for is Mavuika and until she comes there is enough time to farm 😁

If it was for design then it's good but if you or anyone pulling characters for abyss then it's just 100 primos so pull which character you like it's chiori or Emilie it's fine
dude when i see this patch banner, i was ready to retired if my pulls sucked. i really want emilie, but i dont need another copy of xiangling and yanfei. even my razor is already at c4. But turns out the goddess of luck was on my side. Got emily and her weapon in just 50 pulls lol (20 pull emily banner and 30 weapon banner), got 1 razor too. hoyo really need to fix this 4 star gacha system in someway

I pulled for her for the same reason.... I already had her artifacts (plus a misif windspear no one was using) and it seemed rude not to use them.
I said I'd only try 50 pulls and got her on 49 so I'm happy. Really enjoying her and glad I went for it and spent some of my Natlan savings.
I do already have yelan though and given the choice I'd recommend yelan over her, but for me, yeah Emilie's great.

She’s not a support for Kinich and won’t make his damage higher, she’ll make the team overall damage higher as she’s dps
I got 2 times her weapon, and im not sure if i want to pull her. Im afraid she will be treated like Eula. At first everyone will be: Go girl, we support you etc. But after her banner she or more likely Physical/Burning will be forgotten.
I'm a returning Genshin player (played for the first couple months Genshin was out, recently came back in June) and Yelan was just more flexible than Emilie is. And whatever I have leftover from Yelan now, I need to save for Kazuha, Zhongli, Nahida, and Pyro Archon. So I'm passing, not because she doesnt look neat, but because there's just too much else I need.

I used my guaranteed 5* for her used my extra primos for her weapon and i got it. right now my Emilie sits on 70cr, 206cd, 137er with the burning artifact set but i can still get it higher coz my flower arti is trash atm and her weapon is lvl80 just need to farm for those mats to max it out. I also double crown her and i must say she didn't disappoint me❤

Why not try the hydro/electro vishaps in the newest water zone? Masanori's pretty outdated as a dps check. There's also the 4 repeatable bosses in Sumeru you can fight that the aranara will respawn infinitely
