    Good insights on edge-middleware.
To address carbon-footprint regulations, how Tinkerblox address energy-efficiency at edge (mainly a scale aspect) ?
It would be useful to share elements of such usp ( nonconventional edge-energy could be one solution )

Latency is the backbone of Edge computing/Local computing.
6G will remove the need for Edge computing.

A very interesting and thought provoking interview I have seen recently. It was very useful both at technology side as well as to go for innovative ideas. The well balance way of discussion by Mr Karthik was unique and it was in simple terms that even a lay man can understand the new concepts. Hats off , well done

    1:22:09 One Example Scenario

  • @asp8202
    @asp8202 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Edge computing could have a lot of opportunity in health care field.
    I have another suggestion,
Why don't you think - expanding edge computing to enhance private clouds.
For each cloud vendor should be like agent software or purchasable sw seating on Client infrastructure. To facilitate that feature, I believe edge computing will be very handy.
Hope you might have thought about all those scenarios earlier.
Just like me buying a mixie Or grinder, I use it without needing to share what purpose I use it to those manufacturers.
Using current cloud technology, vendors will somehow know what each client is doing with vendors. Even though each follows each country's compliance, the US government still has all the liberty to cancel the service or see any one data if required.
This will be a huge potential in the future and again all open markets start thinking about closed economic for a while.

Very apt and profound observation. You touched upon the core of distributed compute infrastructure .
Your suggestion is very much on point and it’s the direction the industry is heading as well. It’s no more pure cloud

    very good podcast. my thoughts,
Local compute device itself an embedded device. A thin line differentiate the technology.
53:32 want to build full funcational edge device you should have very good understanding in embedded systems.
55:36 tinkerblox is software company so they won't concentrate on hardware.

I found the podcast quite fascinating insofar as edge computing and its application for a wide array of sectors is concerned. As a non-engineering academic I am wondering the extent to which this can be deployed in the higher education ecosystem. Admittedly, GenAI and IoT manifestations are being experimented with in the teaching/L
learning contexts, be they face-to-face or open and distance learning. However, just-in-time learner support still remains a wishful thinking. Perhaps, edge comp😢uting holds an answer. Well done, both of you!

It’s amazing to see your PoV. Yes very much edge can be applied to education .
Case n point - Every student is unique with varied consumption strengths - which means a hyper personalized education opportunity remains . That’s a way to look at it Mr Murugan. Glad to learn more

I was with the IGNOU since its inception before shifting to the Caribbean (University of the West Indies). On invitation I came to the Tamil Nadu Open University in 2004 initially and retired in 2019. All through my career individualization of learning has been my focus, and with the emerging technologies, Chatgpt included, this could be achieved in distance learning as well as in offline systems of edn, and hence my observation. Hope Tinkerblox will explore this further. All the best...
