      This stuff is wayyyyy harder than he makes it seem in these videos and I'm still trying to figure out a plan... you need inventory.... inventory that you know sells and works and that is way too complex of a problem that nobody will see in this video. Also alot of distracts aren't casting at all without references or taking any new people or startup businesses.... also to buy wholesale items and findings you need a wholesale permit and resellers permit.... this isn't said in the videos either. Luckily in my state Mines is free and annually fee is free and I just got approved... some of my stuff needs to be drop shipped.... some made and casted in silver... moissanite and diamonds on Ali baba and then you need a gold caster and diamond setter that will first take you in and then second won't rip you off...then if you do make this gold lion ring for example... you need to find somebody to buy it for $1300 which is also another headache. Selling gold and diamonds should be your advanced phase in your selling anyway after you sold pounds of silver and pendants.

    If you're considering printing wax models at home, I would suggest a Phrozen sonic mini 4k instead of the elegoo mars. its about $300 but the quality and speed is a lot better, you can expand the range of detail in your first jewelry peices. overall, a better investment

    Great video!! Definitely subscribing. pops has been a jeweler for 50 years and he has learned how to polish without losing almost anything from the piece. I would say about 1% lost if even that. He has so much experience I wish to learn one day and he has showed me alot, which has changed during the years.. Like getting wax molds made of jewelry pieces was a whole different process before, it's so much easier now. And casting yourself is only good if you have your own gold. I’m finally gonna go down to the LA district tomorrow to try and get a wax mold of an open and closed Cuban link also the locket but I was wondering which 3D printers you recommend out there? I also wanted to ask if once I get the wax printed I can get that into a rubber mold and reuse that correct? Appreciate the videos again man & looking forward to the future ones!

    • @SlavaTVOfficial
      @SlavaTVOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I recommend the mars elegoo. Make sure you get castable resin. For a cuban link just go ahead and have them 3d print it for you in the district. you will cast one link opened and one link closed in silver. After that have your polisher make a rubber mold for you. you will take the rubber mold to the caster and tell them how many links you want casted. they will make all the links and give you your mold back when you come to pay

      @@SlavaTVOfficial Will do! Im like $1300 deep in equipment right now. It should all be here by the end of the month. Im going to have to turn my sorry ass closet of a "shed" connected to my house into a spot for the printers, because of the fumes and my cats. Going to insulate it this week. And bro, thanks for even offering. It goes to show what kind of person you are. Subbed. I know my channel is full of goofy shit rn, but i will also be uploading my first prints, first melts, amd first casting in aluminum using casting resin. Cant wait to get the process down so i can start with bronze and eventually move on to silver and gold. Seriously man, thank you so much for this information.

      Its my pleasure. Absolutely document everything. Also be very careful having pets around casting. make sure everything is very well ventilated

    I am confused why the gold only cost $30+ but the bill was for $600+? Was the extra money the fee to make the ring?

    Thank you so much for giving the cheat codes! $1.50-3 over spot is reasonable! Jewelers charging 300% over spot is robbery!
