Your raw, uncut, none compromised attitude towards good business, and firm standing on real principles I would love for you to mentor me on this journey. I’m most definitely ain’t asking for no hand out I’m asking for more never the less some in the form of an internship ( working service in exchange for knowledge) I’m willing to work for it . I emailed you years ago when you put out your 2nd jewelry video and you responded. We exchanged a few emails and your info was solid. I've always appreciated that and how genuine you were about it. With my 2nd daughter on the way and other life events at the time, I didn't much have opportunity to venture into the jewelry business, but life is better and financial situation has improved to the point where I even have savings😅. Anyway, I'll be buying your course right after this comment to support my dream and support your work. Time to give this thing a proper shot, and whatever the results at least I'll learn to make jewelry for loved ones without having to take out home equity 😆. Thanks for your inspiration man!

      Please explain

    • @mihailmilenkov6223
      @mihailmilenkov6223 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Alright boyz here is my explanation - first of all, forget high end jewellery selling for 400$+ for those you need credibility in the form of a physical location, and you substantial capital investments on inventory on jewelry that might not sell in a long while. I started with necklaces for 80$ that eventually were selling for 120$ through credibility from 5-4stars reviews. Cost of goods, shipping is about 20-30%, market place fees say 10-20%, marketing given how all the keywords are so competitive ranges between 20-40%. Typically leaving you with a good 20-30% profit margin which is fine. The issue is scale. People buy 1 piece at a time, more if you have a selection of 100+ products, but getting to that point costs you in design and photography - manufacturers are 95% shitty at producing content, the 5% that aren’t charge you near retail prices XD for their jewelry. So it all boils down to you make 0-3 sales a day making you 0-120$/day. I opened a physical warehouse store selling construction materials - these are commodities, people by in bulk, if bringing in a customer costs me 100$, I don’t care given the volume and margin I will earn 2000$ one shot. Before jumping into business, really try to imagine the economics, money and time involved

    Hey man if it wasnt for you I would of never created my own custom piece , $25 for design cgtrader , wax print and casting $500 for 10K 12.4 grams $33/G spot + $6 on top $50 for finish and polish . Finished product ended up 11.4 grams and total $575 so it cost me just over $50/gram to custom design a piece.

  • @RayoBeatz
    @RayoBeatz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +50

    the cost + manufacturing is never the issue with anything its not even the sales part its finding interested people who want to buy and are willing and able to buy. without a customer it doesn't matter what you're selling. i love your video i think its awesome but we need to know how to get this stuff in front of buyers and not just market cause marketing is just throwing up signs and ads and hoping someone comes by.

    • @UnbeatenMindset
      @UnbeatenMindset 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +20

      Riches in the niches. Your customers is your business. For example, jewelry is the niche you are in but you want to niche down more. Perhaps you will focus on replica Sports ring or niche down further NFL team rings. The more you niche down the more you will find the customer you need to serve. The riches are in the niches.
      You can then create a TH-cam channel and make football content and plug your sports ring.

    At least learn one skill. Like polishing. Imagine if your client wants a cleaning and you have to outsource it. $20 lost
    Don’t just become a sales person.

    • @FaTTyDaDDy12
      @FaTTyDaDDy12 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why would a client come to you to polish? You are selling the product you should be polishing regardless and add it to your cost. Even if someone comes to you just for a polish for some reason you can outsource it and charge $30. Life doesn't need to be difficult if you don't want it to be lol.

      @@FaTTyDaDDy12 a basic understanding of how to create or even polish will go a long way in the long run. Do you tho. Outsource all the work

      it’s definitely important to understand how things work I agree, but not needed to know how to do it yourself

      @@fandsjewelers I do not I myself do my own CAD and renderings in Keyshot, also my uncle owns a casting company. So I guess I have an understanding of how to create the product but even without the skills I have I would rather outsource the work. In my experience when you go out of the way to learn something new you feel like you need to stick to what you just learned and cannot grow. I do however think polishing is simple enough to learn just cause it takes no time to learn it and complete the task.

    • @RealzFoSho
      @RealzFoSho 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Learning what the polishing process is, is a 5-10 minute TH-cam video. Time well spent imo.
      But actually doing it? No. That is not smart just to save $20. It does not make any financial sense. Makes way more sense to pay someone to do polishing.
      If you believe the time you spend polishing a piece is worth less than $20, then you are underachieving or you should just be focused on growing a business polishing full time.
