popular drive-in, car service eatery, kabab korner, rolls, kebabs, roomali roti, curries, north indian, chicken roomali roll, paneer, malai kabab, hariyali kabab, st marks road, bangalore
When it came to grabbing a quick bite of mostly kebabs and rolls, Kabab Korner, located in what was once upon a time the heart of Bangalore’s nightlife and entertainment action, ruled. One pulled up at the eatery, placed an order and would be relishing piping hot food served in the car a few minutes later. Over the years the action moved elsewhere, the number of vehicles on the city’s roads exploded manifold making it difficult to park, and ergo, Kabab Korner seems to have all but dropped from radar. In this short episode, I take advantage of the current lull in traffic and head back here after many years to relive old memories of their chicken roomali roll and a couple of kebabs. Hope you enjoy this one, stay safe and happy eating!
Chicken Roomali Roll
Served in a soft roomali roti with enough shredded chicken tikka and plenty of onions tossed with spices, the kabab korner chicken roomali roti still makes for a satisfying snack.
Rs. 210 (usd 2.8)
8/10
Malai Kebab
The kebab is moist and juicy, when savoured steaming hot.
Rs. 365 (usd 4.9)
7/10
Hariyali Kebab
You can taste the freshness of the coriander and mint in the green marinade, and the spicy kick of chilli too. The marinade though hasn't penetrated into the meat, making for a bland third or fourth chew of the kebab.

Hi! Great video! Would you please tell me the musical track used at 1:59? Thank you!
Sir,I earnestly request you to come in West Bengal and explore our food items.
Haha. The best part was "definitely not a roll you would savour before first date due to huge amount of onions". I liked it. That's y I ask for less onions.
Try Al amanah cafe

Kripal Saab, I don't know if you realise this. I'd like to believe it's deliberate, that you are not only reviewing the food and restaurants but also capturing the legacies, cultures, treditions and what makes a city what it is.
Your videos after a century will be used as a references to the culture, food, cuisines and how south Indian cities operated around this time of eternity.
Keep doing the stupendous job that you and your extraordinary team does with such passion.
Love. --Zaheer Syed (Hyderabad)

The reason why I was addicted to your channel is that when I was watching ur show my mind will feel calm and focus only on food doesn't allow my nerves to loosen make my body to feel better and make my tongue swimming in the saliva which is oozing out non stop and as my brain send signals to my mouth do not open ur mouth until the eating part is done 🤤

Nice review as usual. Though Iam a vegetarian, why Iam looking at non vegetarian dishes? The reason behind this is the way you explain the food and your english.

Truely passionate to eat and review food and explore new dishes
I really like and appreciate the videos u put in TH-cam sir. You are doing a food review video as well as an NGO for these hotels and restaurants. They get very good advertising on this platform.
Yesterday I got a chance to have some “rumali chicken roll” but they don’t serve as they served you in two halfs and taste was not so good. It was just like some local shavarma. But malai kabab was little better to taste.
Harshith, I went to Kabab Korner unannounced and requested for it to be cut into two so we could film a cross-section of the roll. They didn’t know who I was at least not initially. I like the roomali roll, they are tasty, not the sort that will have you dreaming of them, which is why I rated it a 8 and not a 9 or 10. I rated the malai Kabab a 7 and the hariyali a 6. Of course, there’s also a hint of nostalgia associated with these rolls for us old Bangaloreans.
Food Lovers TV appreciate your concern to respond to my comment sir. Please continue to introduce us to such delicious foods for foodies like us. Also please share how to stay fit even by satisfying our food cravings.
Harshith.D.L 🙏 do watch one of our recent q&a videos where I have talked about it. th-cam.com/video/kyCyyhLPuGw/w-d-xo.html
Mouthwatering episode 🌼
It's not safe to talk and drive. You are endangering the people on the road. Please park somewhere and speak.
I enjoy all your videos and I respect your craft but please be considerate to the people on the road. I lost my uncle today to a freak accident for no fault of his
I think Mr Kripal already parked his SUV before eating , if I am not wrong

Hyderabad
St.Marks road❤️
Hmmm, malai kabab is the best 😋 nd it's creamy 👌
nice watch Sir...seiko or omega ?
What time was it open? You mentioned in the morning
We used to drink draught beer from Scottish pub(cheaper than other hep joints around also less noisy) and feast here regularly. Those days were golden... The weather, the traffic, the good natured bangaloreans...As you said, it takes 25 minutes to reach from Whitefield to St. Marks Road. The four joints we friends regularly visit were Scottish pub, kebab corner(with their wooden temperory car dining table)
Sreeraj Lassi bar, Airlines Hotel.
bowring ice cream was also nearby
Hello sir you can try Al-Amanah rolls in kamanahalli, delicious rolls that fill your tummy.
Omg what memories
Beer from Dewars or Scittish pub and the rolls and kebabs yummmm
First Pub was opened Ramada ₹5 a beer glass..near KC dass down .layer later came Nasa etc..all the roads were two ways..even st. Mark's road. From cash pharmacy..
Kabab corners..kababs as good as your eating expression..in eighties after 9 pm you wouldn't get any food anywhere..there used to be Hotel Casba on church street and Y kee kee on Brigade road..thanks for this lingrrning video..

Kripal sir really love the way you do your gourmet on the road episodes. You made us to feel what we eat in our daily brunches 😁. Keep going sir. 👍👍
Sir lots of love from mumbai...
😇😆
I do like your way of explaining
Missing shawarma from kabab magic and empire ☹️☹️ midnight food cravings and drives to empire 😟
Liked it Kripal you take food presentation to a totally different level
I miss those old days when going to MG Road was a weekly/ monthly event, which all of us looked forward to. Money was hard to come by back in the 80s. Back then, going out meant splurging or spending money. Since resources were limited, we did it only or twice a month.
We have a lot more money today, but there is an element of fear and apprehension. It is the fear of getting infected, the fear of being laid off and the fear of losing whatever we have earned. This fear was non existent when we were in school.
Kripal, carry a bottle of water and some liquid soap so that you could wash your hands in between bites. Sanitizer is not safe.
So true man. Have fond memories of getting sloshed at Pecos followed by steaming hot idli - ghatti chatni / chitranna omelette meal on road side because our budget for main course used to be exhausted in beers itself :)
Now all our friends have budget but no time to meet each other and enjoy the company cause all are scattered across the world laden with professional and personal responsibilities - sad state indeed. All drunken promises made on the rusty tables sipping those chilled beers just passed over like the good old times. May be some day, we still discuss amongst ourselves once in a blue moon that may be we should all meet like old times and catch up but given the current situation god knows when will that happen :(
Just venting out ;)
Yammm
But in car it becomes difficult to eat .
As in restaurants or hotels .😋😋😋😋😋😋
Cover sometime ..Kentuki..next to woodland Hotel..a small joint started in eighties..
Amazing explanation..Very passionate person.
Kripal, just a suggestion. You can mount or stick a go-pro camera on the windshield (inside) so that you need not look at your left to talk to camera. Seems dangerous. If you do this, the passenger seat will be empty and you can keep your food there.
Sir, you are really food lover 👍
