Lula Collins "Help Me"

Ok, so I never expected to get such a response to my original posting of Miss Lula Collins' "Hold Out (Keep The Faith)". It's been so amazing to see the outpouring of love that folks have for her and her work, to have her family members re-hear her voice again after years, etc. I don't know, all I can say is how much her song "Hold Out" moved me. I never expected what came after. So, in that spirit, here's another one from the same, super raer album DELTA GOSPEL QUEEN. And YES, she is, indeed a QUEEN. Thank you for the music, Lula.

My Mom, a Burdine Kentucky girl, is 92 years young.. She is a former Salvationist, even with her failing hearing, she still thoroughly enjoys listening to Gospel, as do I.

Thank you so very much for posting this. A dear friend of mine shares a 'Fire In My Bones.' Few people share such special things and it is most special to share a listen with those ready to bend an ear to Ms. Lula Collins, they will learn that you are right miss Lula is truly a queen. As an individual who does not find himself in a place of being "religious" as much as, "spiritual," this song emphasized what I have always been taught and that is, that one must have true soul to rock in the Right way; to rock right if you will. This song made me go through all three discs in the set and still want more; and especially more Lula. Keep 'um coming. Thank you again sincerely. -k

In order to sing this song and mean it, you've really got to Believe And Trust In THE LIVING GOD IN CHRIST JESUS. This song has a 70's vibe with the Afro's and Bellbottoms and Lula Collins, The Delta GOSPEL Queen is Singing a Prayer To THE LORD, yet at the same time she is saying; LORD GOD Lead the Way.
