You're 64...and still unbelievable... Salute & respect...🙏🙏🙏 I still have your picture cover on magazine...and some of clipping picture from any Indonesian newspaper from 1991.
When I was a kid, David Copperfield was one of my heroes. I loved his specials, making objects appear and disappear. Sadly, I was in the museum that day but couldn't get a chance to see him perform - I'm glad the museum posted the video online.
Is and always will be the Master, not just in the Art of Magic, but in storytelling and creating art that is entertaining, captivating, and MEANINGFUL. Amazing tribute to our history.
I love the way David Copperfield is not only the best magician, but also an amazing storyteller. He always has a unique way to draw you deeper into the magic he is about to perform. Bravo 👏🏼
David’s genius is not in spectacular magic in a mechanical sense. Rather, it’s in the ability to take something that’s been done before and make it so much MORE than a guy appearing in an empty, floating box. He made you care about the cardboard box. And the courier. And the flag. You felt something. THAT is magic.
I had goosebumps! In a nice way. 😅 I always love seeing David Copperfield perform. He's an artist, a master magician, a legend. Hope to see more brand new grand illusions in the coming years. Salute! 😍👏👏👏
The trick was just one, but the emotional and message are million. Thanks David for making my childhood were entertaining. You and Michael Ammar are my inspiration, the legend of the legend in magician world. Peace from Indonesia...
Cooking with Jeff Mr. Copperfield is older, and also has earned the position to train budding magician's in the art of magic. Since my seeing him in person, David Copperfield has me wanting more
@@maddyhayes617 that is simply awesome you got to meet Mr. Copperfield!! He really is amazing and so inspiring. I've been into close-up magic since age 8. Im going to be 46 in a week from now/November 9th. David Copperfield has kept me motivated in the art of magic since the early 1990s. I hope you get your wish/desire to meet him again. 🙂☺️

It's a simple trick, but the way to show it is top notch. The column supporting the box loaded on the table extends to the right leg of David and is connected to the box. Tilt the box to the left and right on the struts so that the person hiding inside does not touch the box. It's a cardboard box to reduce the weight.
when he lifts the box his right leg an foot never moves.... 2:37 the ""push it out" angle is added and not "live" 2:33 you can see on the camera screen that there is actually much more going on inside the box
Why are you trying to spoil it? Do you stand at the mall and tell then kids Santa isn't real too? I'm sure you wait at the movies to tell people the ending as they are walking in to see it. Is your self esteme that low that you can't enjoy magic entertainment with out feeling it's a insult to your intelligence that you have to make a speech about it to prove it? DAMN
I guess this Proves the Existence of a Spiritual World , David uses the power of demons to do his magic Turn to Jesus my beloved , Life is too short , you don't know when you r gonna die , Jesus can save you from hell , repent and trust in him 🕯🌹🕯🕯
I LOVE Copperfield and I LOVE magic, He has always blown me away and I've watched and enjoyed him since I was a kid. But, that was painful to watch. This trick was first pitched and marketed that the piece was going to show up attached to the flag behind glass that no one had access to. Now THAT would be a Copperfield style illusion. This was just a sheet with a pic of the piece with a really rough looking floating box illusion.🙄🙄🙄. Clean it up Copperfield.
The smithsonian probably has tons of restrictions on using the flag itself. I’m sure DC didn’t even have access to it. How would you do an illusion if you didn’t even have access to the flag itself? He did a stellar job under the conditions.
@@miamimagicians Just because you've seen something done worse doesn't make the topic at hand not bad. I think the "I've seen worse" argument can dissolve almost anything, but, based on what I watched I can also say "I've seen better" and when you are dealing with such a seasoned icon such as Copperfield I would expect better than what I watched. I wasn't making so much a comparison to anything but just an observation and opinion of what I had watched.
@@sebastientorres9405 that is EXACTLY my point. It IS a classic trick in magic, and he IS a master, therefore I believed that not only should the bar of the trick have been raised but the caliber and execution of it should have been elevated. I am in NO way saying Copperfield is a poor magician. He's the greatest. But, when you are the greatest more is expected of you. In my opinion this was sub par , lack luster, and not on a Copperfield level.
But there is more : he opens the box. There is a box in an other box and you can see all around and inside. First time i see that with this illusion. In fact this is not the first time that David does a classic. Remember : Chinese linking rings (best version ever) Flotating ball (incredible ideas around it), Vanishing Silk, gypsy thread, cards production, dancing cane, interlude, mismade, origami (Doug Henning did that a long time ago), the vanishing of the motocycle...and so on. I Think that the big lesson here is that he really is a magician, not a trick maker. Watch the "Magic unlimited" version and tell me if you feel the same thing watching them. In my opinion, this is what's important : i saw Magic and wonder, not just an effect. (I'm french so i try to say it in English 😉) anyway it's great to see David again on tv !

He may be older and his stuff a little corny but he’s really a genius. And what he’s done to preserve magic and illusions is important.

you make all Christians look horrible this is a magic show nothing of this is of the devil you moron and i am a christian
Copperfield is a Christian

DC is a classic American hero. Smoke and mirrors...nothing of substance
