My Dremel is indispensable for small tasks. I've never used the routing attachment, but there's no way in hell I'm considering using it to route the recess for that flame. It will require multiple passes from a full-size router! Perhaps it's worth looking into it to route ONLY the outline, since you can work much finer with it than a full-size router. The rest of the inside waste: full size! Also, he glibly skipped over the "then sand the flame down": it was about 10 mm proud of the surface! That alone will take multiple passes with a planer. Or multiple Dremels, a lot of bits and a spare weekend.
Fascinating to watch! Thanks for the sub-titles, because I can’t understand a word of that, except ‘Purple heart’. I still listened tho’ as it was oddly therapeutic. This has to be Dutch right? Or a German speaking Swedish 😂. Nice demonstration 👍

Brave guy using the Multi-Chuck with a routing bit. I love the multi-chuck, but I'm def not using it with a router bit. And Kudos to this guy for stepping the bit. I see soooooo many "Rotary Routing" videos where people think they can round over an edge on a piece of Hickory in one pass, and their bit catches fire lol hahaha jk. They def burn out their bits that way though.

While I used dremel for years, I've had to move on as their quality and availability have declined. Plus they lack any sort of torque for things like.... routing. Luckily it led me down a path of junk rotary tools. After using other brands, I stumbled upon a tool I'd have never considered, due to the name of the company.... The Black and Decker RTX!!! I love this thing. Much stronger, better designed, and get this.... it has torque!!!So you do t lose 50% of your speed once you make co tact with, well, anything. Its especially good at routing as it can keep the bit moving at a high enough speed to actually work. I can even cut T-Tracks with it when I dont want, or cant use a regular router. Another good thing... they are affordable. I grabbed mine for like $39 and I've beat it to death over the past year. It fits dremel accessories, and has a great spindle lock system (a failure poi t on most rotary tools I tested). Try one out... hopefully one day will stop seeing their line as "Good enough" and step it up to become a pioneer in rotary tech again.
Yeah, it struggles with soft woods. Even though they claim you can do all sorts of crazy materials with it, it really is underpowered and way too weak to do even pine let alone stone working or metal cutting like they claim.
@@bashkillszombies I cant say for wood but the small disc cutters and the sanding wheels are great for metals, yeh you burn through them like candy but theyre cheap and yeh itll take you a bit longer, its a small portable thing thats designed for light work. Its like a swiss army knife, youd be better off with the full tool but it can hobble along and be a handy little thing when you dont have the full tool available.

Yeah, now watch your machine bog down in a heartbeat, lose accuracy, and walk across the piece ripping holes in it. This guy may be a designer but he's definitely not a woodworker because this is a ridiculous piece. Glued together too, no less.
Finally we can get information in klingon
well, only klingons buy dremel shittlolls
Great instructional video! No nonsense, edited for a good pace....much like your woodworking skills. Appreciate your posting!

It's Dutch so it has a lot in common with English

Thanks for the insight. Is there a plunge router attachment that you can buy for the rtx?
I've never had a problem with the Dremel 4000 taking strain.
there's no way you're routing purple heart with a dremel haha!

You personify the type of person that just has to piss on everything you see on the internet. You must be a fucking joy to live with.
Yeah, nah...

I've heard good feedback about the Woodprix plans.
