  • In the first part of the video we cover the backward outside Rocker. In the second part we have a music video of "Last Pale Light in the West" by Ben Nichols. The side to side twists mentioned in the video can be seen here in our off ice warmup video: • Off Ice Warmup + "Sile... Enjoy!

This is another one of those moves where I do the more difficult one ( backward) better than the easier one ( forward). I'll be looking for the video on forward outside rockers. The forward inside rocker one was very helpful. My next goal is to clean up my outside forward rocker. After the turn I'm on an outside edge, but a very uncontrolled outside edge. It might just take a little more practice, but than again maybe I can get a few helpful tips on it.

We're looking to the forward outside Rocker done by the end of the month. One thing that will definitely help is working on just the edges, like in our Skating Essentials playlist.

I know you haven't done a video on the forward outside rockers yet, but I'd like to share an update on my progress on that turn. I tried it with the entrance edge coming into the hockey circle, then after the turn I attempted to trace those circle markings. It was sort of like a very large compulsory figure, but it worked. Having a visual guide seemed to get my body lined up better and the turn improved. Then when I tried it without following any markings it seemed easier.

Good! Keep at it! Yeah, we haven't gotten to the forward outside Rocker, we are hoping to get to it in a few weeks.

Hi guys! In several of the videos, off-ice upper body twisting for warm up is recommended. Are there any specific off-ice twisting exercises that you like, and if so, could you show us on an upcoming video? Thanks!

Yep! Actually we did this a while back, our off ice warmup has increased a lot since then, but the twist exercise shown at the 1:43 (Don't click on the 1:43 as that links to video 74.) mark still holds true. th-cam.com/video/FoKMr8esJ38/w-d-xo.html

At 3:37 you say : "When you reach the point of MAXIMUM (?) pressure, rise ,and turn ."
But before at 2:00 you give explanation : "Notice that the pressure is LEAST leading
right into the turn, through the right out of the turn "
Correctly : " when you reach the point of MINIMUM pressure.,rise, and turn . ...don't you ??
    Thx
your videos mean a lot to me.
