Great video, and beautiful Pete! I’m also a pilot, who has driven truck. I was laid off last year due to the pandemic, and got into trucking. I’m back in the air now, but loved every minute of trucking. When I was going through training(747) at my new airline, one of the instructors made a comment about how none of us had operated anything with 18 wheels before. I raised my hand, and said, “well actually…” lol.
You're probably with some scumbag ACMI carrier...enjoy that. No one cares that you fly a 747. 🤦

Small world! I’m also a pilot, ATP, CFI, CFII, MEI with 6 jet Type Ratings. I also hold my CDL-A. I spent 25 years flying corporate jets all over the world and after retiring from that, I decided I couldn’t fish every day so back in a truck! Sweet truck in the video and the dude is cool!
No one cares about your "six jet type ratings." Eat some humble pie and crawl back into the woodwork. 🖕

Wow, alls I wanted to do was drive tractors and fly planes too! When I was a little girl I went to work with my grandfather, the supervisor for the roadbuilding department in Orange county in the 1940s -1960s. While other girls played with dolls, I was pushing trucks around in the dirt. The closest I got to trucks was I owned a remanufacturing shop for Detroit injectors.I hope its never too late to live a life of what you dream of!
Anything is possible if you have the drive.
I’ve worked with pilots (mil) everyday over my 19 year career (and counting) and none of them do anything cool on the side like this. When you find people like this you just have to listen. Great interview.

Totally cool to hear someone talk about doing what they love to do for a living. So many of us did what we had to do to provide for our families.
This is exactly the life I’m trying to live!! Right now I’ve been driving a straight truck for almost 3 years, for the past 2 years I’ve been contemplating about becoming a pilot and for the last year or so I’ve been thinking about getting into an 18 wheeler. I’ve recently bought a house and am just waiting on getting stabilized first before I pull the trigger and finally start doing either one or the other before getting both licenses!!
Aldo,Your a truck driver more than this clown. I’m retired 37 years in a big truck. There weren’t schools on every corner when I started. I started driving small wreckers. I went to big wreckers then Tractor-trailers. Get your experience in all kinds of weather and terrain then move up. If you decide to fly planes,fly planes. This guy is taking loads out of real truck drivers mouths. I have more respect for you working your way up than this I’ll say clown. Working trucks don’t have chrome fifth wheels. Believe me.
He definitely understands a few things. One, weather on the ground sucks as bad as it does in the air. Two, he understands the hurry up and wait game on both sides, lol! Sweet truck. More rules in aviation though!

I’ve been a truck driver for 2+ years and the only reason I became a truck driver was to save money to go back to school and finish my last year for my bachelors. I also want to be a pilot and pondered about being both a pilot and a part time truck driver like this guy.

No shame in that at all hell I’m 25 gonna try trucking for 2 years then go to mortuary school after I pay off my debts because my parents have no savings and I don’t even want to ask them frankly for help

Good for him. I'm a private pilot, I flew some back in the winter. Recreational flying has just become so expensive, and trucking pay is not keeping up with inflation. I had kinda decided I need to give up flying so I can retire someday.
Seems like this guy not much older than me I’m 43. I have 4 kids had first one at 17 and still dreaming about building a show truck. I tell them not to have any until they’re financially independent debt free and accomplish what they want in life.

There's alot of us out there! I am flying citation jets for my career, but this January I am switching to driving tankers trucks and will flight instruct to stay current.
Not real sure where to begin with this!!! I to have had my dream come true with what I wanted to do in life. I grew up on a farm and started driving tractors from the age of 6 and still do at times but i always wanted to run heavy equipment and when I got out of school I started my career in running equipment that lasted 40 years. then I've also loved to drive and I started driving a semi and I have drove a truck for the last 15 years. And this last January I finally retired still have my licence and keep my health card up. But it's really be a great life. The only thing I regret is that I never got to own my own truck I have always drove for a company. God Bless and stay safe out there.

I was a Tractor Trailer Driver For 27 Years .I had a small Fleet Leased on to United Van lines with 3 Brand New Freightliner Classic with 3 Brand New 2002 with a Detroit 60 Series 600 Horse Extended Frame 300 Wheelbase all Chromed out and a 18 Speed Rockwell Transmission.They Were White With Navy Blue Lettering ,it's a Walkin double Bunk with a TV,Refrigerator, Microwave and Running Water Sink Coran Counter Top and Moen Fixture.I Added an Oil Spinner So I can a get More Life Between Oil Changes. About 15,000. I Also always Put New Rubber on The Steering Tires and a Wheel A line ment I Also Had 7" Strait Dyno Flex Miter Stacks. The Air Lines were Tucked Under the Back of The Frame, It Has Double Framed From the Nose to the Rear! The Frame on All my Tractors were Painted Navy Blue to match the Pin Stripe Lettering.I had Rockwood Put African Red Rose Flooring and Chrome Plate Under the Stick shifters ,I Had 2 Sticks .It Makes it Easier and WALKS UP THE HILLS OUT WEST RIGHT AFTER FORTWORTH TEXAS.Then it Opens Up .There are 4 States You Do NOT WANT BREAK THE SPEED LIMIT, OHIO,INDIANA, CHICGO ILLINOIS AND California. Ohio doesn't receive and Government Highway Grants. They Say They Don't Care Because They Will Make it Up in Writting Tickets. Speed Limit is 55 in All 4 States. When your running the Road You Catch On Fast!👿😖🤔😊 I am Glad to Say that I Never Got a Ticket out there. I did get a parking Ticket in Tennessee, I Pulled Off Interstate 40 East And Pulled Over On the Onside Of The Interstate, TBE Cop was a redheaded Dick. I told him That there was No Parking at the Truckstop I Past I was so Tired I couldn't Go No further and therewas5 other trucks Behind Me! He made me Move,I told him if I get into an Accident it's on you! I got his Bag # He Claimed Up Onto My Deck but I had my Door Locked,That pissed him OFF!😎😛😝🤓

Good looking truck, I'm the same way, except for wanting to be a pilot. From the time I was 5 yrs I knew I wanted to drive a truck. Been driving for almost 20 years. Can't imagine doing anything else. Lol...single and no kids too...and plan to keep it that way. Family gets in the way of trucking...lol

I only had 2 childhood dreams, be a truck driver and a cop. Got my CDL at 18 and drove otr. Still trucking I manage to get into the police academy and become a cop at 31. Trucking is a passion!
