Thanks for this video. I picked up my ‘23 Crosstrek Outdoor (Canadian version) in April . It was the last one available. I did a lot of research before deciding on a Subie including the power train . As a retired mechanic I get the early issues they had and how they fixed them. The power train now seems reasonably bullet proof. I Aldo get the people who say the 2.0 is under powered . I have the 2.5 in mine and it powers up nicely in the mountains where I live. After driving Hondas for 40 years and also working on them and seeing where Hondas are going lately and their affordability, I found it was time to give these guys a try. Honda is not the long lived great car anymore. Also, Toyota own 20% of Subaru and have utilized one of Subarus engines in their models.

You picked the 2023 is the right choice. Because it's the last year Crosstrek build in Japan. 2024 and beyond are build in Canada and US.

Good review, but they should have kept the climate control knobs. In the '24, I have to take my eyes off the road to adjust the air conditioner fan. It goes against Subaru's claims to keeping safety first.

I have a 2013 Crosstrek but getting the new 2024 next week :) super excited about it! I didn’t even look at any other cars. At 102k miles, getting back 11k for the 2013, always heard subs have great trade in value but never thought I’d get back (slightly over) half what I paid for it when it was brand new. Can’t wait to get my “2nd” Subaru car decal 😆😆

    Hello
I live in Brazil and we intend to take long trips around the country (On and Off Roda Leve).
I've been researching a medium 4x4 vehicle for some time
But here in Brazil I don't fear options so I have the following left:
1- SUBARU XV 2.0 2023. I didn't find any complaints, but we don't have many stores here either, only 4.
2- - Jeep Compass Trailhawk, a good car, but with many complaints and electronic problems.
3- Toyota RAV4 2023, an excellent car, but very expensive around here.
4- Ford Bronco Sport, good car, but uses a lot of fuel besides that Ford manufactures it in Brazil, that is, we have only imported it. What if the car happens to have a problem?
After a lot of thinking, we found that the best option is SUBARU.
    What do you say?

My first Subaru crystal Pearl White 2024. I love it. It has all the features I like without the big price tag. Only two gripes, there isn’t enough room to rest your right foot when using the automated driving features, and a cooler plug in the trunk would have been the icing on the cake. ❤❤❤

Love my 2023 crosstrek, i do wish it could fit bigger wheels and sat a little higher off the ground but there are still some mods i intend to do for exploring california wilderness. The engine is a little on the sluggish side even though i have the 2.5 liter 180+ HP model. I just wish there was a turbo option to live up the subaru need for speed customers. all in all i may do some things to make it faster, like an intake or dual exhausts but enjoy it as a commuter and the gas economy is great so i can't have the best of both worlds. It's a fun car to have and sits like a mini SUV with space to lug around my stuff. Highly recommend!

I really like the Crosstrek, but I do not understand why, at least here in the U.S., you cannot get a heated steering wheel. Big miss for those living in or moving to a cold climate. I get that they are building it to a low price point, so you can't have everything, but I wish they at least made it part of an option package, and from what I can tell, it is not offered as part of any option package.

    • @danielfair4675
      @danielfair4675 ปีที่แล้ว

One of our vehicles has a heated steering wheel and I've used it probably 5 times in 6 years, lol.
When damn near every car has remote start, it's not needed honestly. I've got a '21 Crosstrek Limited and I've never used the remote start once ... and we live in a northern state.

Used 2021 Crosstreks are selling $1-2k over 2023 MSRP here in Canada. 6 month wait for a new Crosstrek but yet dealerships are insistently selling used above MSRP stating they’re following the market.

Just bought my first Subaru, a 2024 Crosstrek, after decades of owning Toyotas and Hondas. The Subaru included so much more than the comparable Toyota Corolla Cross and cost many thousands less. It seems both Toyota and Honda are being greedy in pricing and counting on brand loyalty. Brand loyalty is one thing; but informed decision-making had me choosing Subaru this time.

I only tell you one thing then you would not consider this car. When you get off the car, you pants would get dirt because the door did not cover the below edge. It's fine for a sedan because it's low, but for a suv, it's very hard to avoid the mud and dust.

All new Subarus still have the same 34 year old gloomy, drab, boring, depressing, outdated, coffin Grey and Black interior colors that became popular in 1990.
If Subaru really cared about what their “Valued Customers” actually wanted then they would of offered different interior colors on lower trim levels or Subaru would have offered a reliable hybrid system before the millennium.
But Hell NO, Subaru doesn’t give a rat’s ass about the environment or their customers.

Porsche's boxers are more reliable than Subaru's mainly due to the amount of money invested in R&D, which is technically not feasible for the latter. Porsche has enough reason to overcome the boxer's inherent flaws and can charge more from its clients.
