Techie is so underrated I want to see what the Techie Gameplay looks like in CyberPunk 2077.

I like the vast amount of options where this can go. I created a medtech that was in the military in a special forces unit with his younger brother. He tended to help in patching up his fellow soldiers. But the tipping point was during a botched mission where his Brother got hit hard and the field medic wasn’t there to help direct him. He wasn’t able to save his brother and he vowed to not let anyone die because of his lack of knowledge again. He dedicated himself to the craft and became an excellent military medic. He found out the botched mission was due to the failure of an officer. He finds the officer and knocks him out cold in front of a bunch of generals at a high class party. He gets dishonorably discharged and that is how he ends up where he is now doing work on locals in the slums of Night City.

Great channel. I really appreciate the excellent content. And thank you for not doing a 90 minute video each time. Some other TH-cam channels are just too long to watch. Yours is informative and also concise. Very well done!

Ahh Techie easily my favorite Cyberpunk role followed by Rockerboy then Netrunner. My Techies are usually strong on the Inventor Mechanic, Electrical, and Electronic side of things plus often bomb disarming, construction and use while sucking at the Medic stuff though.
I remember one time my character's Scholar traits almost got the party killed. There was a university which had been abandoned after the city got hit hard during a war (Where exactly I don't recall but somewhere in Europe this was over a decade ago. I think it was the group's first time trying 3.0) but some of the outer buildings were still intact so people were living there including our party. My character knew enough about architecture that he realized even though the library had been hit and looked awful there were probably substantial intact areas on the lower floors. Checking that he discover most of the Technical and Engineering related texts were intact so he started spending most of his off time there and one night the group came to talk some possible vehicle modifications with him. But there was a very rare textbook in the library which a local corporation wanted, and they didn't want anyone to know they had it so they sent a team to search with orders to kill anyone found in the building or who saw them on the way out.
Since we were off job most of us only had the Pistols we usually used as holdout and backup weapons but luckily the corporate team spilt up to search and we were able to take out some before they regrouped and take their guns. After the battle we left the city turning the campaign into a road trip across Europe and naturally my character and our Netrunner grabbed any textbooks we wanted along with the one the corporation was after before we left.

The movie Hotel Artemis deals in depth with cyberpunk med-techs... definitely a movie worth checking out!
Oh, and I guess Karl from Neofeud could be described as a med-tech too, so med-techs can be adventurous, for sure.

Solos, Nomads and Techies go hand in hand, as they all have something from each other. Techie can be the armourer, the vehicule mechanic who keeps your caravan moving or your wheels in shape for jobs in the City, the rigger who built your hideout's automated defenses, they can be the "warfare development researcher/troubleshooter" creating all sorts of ungentlemanly warfare, the sapper/demolitions expert, or the paramedic friend who patches you up, or your physician that keeps everyone off the dangerous street crap by creating designer drugs for the team.
If you have a Media or a Rocker, then look no further, they're the gearhead who makes their show happen, or the keyboardist or turntablist of the band giving you that unique sound, etc. You keep everyone's quality up and the delays short.
If you have a Corp or Fixer in your group, your Techie can be the person they come see when they want to better appraise a deal, plan a production run, or the one who's always asking them to source parts for a project.
So many ways for your Donatello to interact with the others.
