There's a great reason for the PTO neutral position, so the PTO shaft can spin when you're trying to hook up the shaft and the splines are not aligned and you can't rotate it on the implement side.
Nice tractor. Congrats. Hope it treats you better then the 5100E did. I had a 5100E that I put 200 hours on and it was perfect. Just upgraded to a new 5115R for the comfort features.
That's an impressive tractor, will look forward to seeing it in the hay fields. That sky light would be handy for loader work. I just had a feeling you were getting a new tractor, just sat patiently and waited for the big reveal. Congratulations.
Thank you! I’m anxious to get it fired up in hay season… currently 50 degrees and raining here. Had three days of 83 degrees and above followed by a cold spell!
This was a great video and very informative. I traded my 5325 open station for a 2022 5100M premium cab and got it just a few months ago. My setup is pretty much identical to yours except I have 3 SCVs in the rear. I don’t have a loader yet, but it has the loader package with 3 mid SCVs. I mainly use mine (right now) for bush hogging with a batwing and it drives and rides like a dream. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
@@RockyAcresFarmstead its not the most level, but we not have any insane hills. The only thing I dont like is when you hit a mole hill with the cutter, it slows the hay cutter down. The baler doesn't. care though.
@@RockyAcresFarmstead i do understand that one. We thought it wouldn't pull either of them until we tried it. The only reason we tried is because our fuel bill was getting to be outrageous this year. (We do custom baling)
I looked at the M's when i wanted to upgrade from the 5100E I had. For the money the M series cost in the HP I was looking at, I bought an R series. The cab on an R series is way nicer than an M series.
WOW he didn't know why there is a neutral on the pto . Its there so when its in the neutral you can release the pressure on pto makes it easy to hook up attachments
I remember when I upgraded my 6105D to a 6115M. It was worth every penny. Your 5M has similarities to my 6M's. The 5E's IMO are just a little cheaply made, but that's what they are supposed to be.
Next time, I’ll buy a professional microphone to ensure that your retired ears can hear what I’m saying. 🙄. I’m a farmer, not a professional videographer or a professional broadcaster. I play with the hand I’m dealt. If ya’ll don’t like it… move along!
@@RockyAcresFarmstead here’s a thought, watch your video and see if you really think you can hear what your trying to say to the audience..by the way , I have moved along..

My new 5100e pto doesnt move and the baler is difficult to hook up if the splines dont line up. I end up rotating the baler pto. Not really easy.
The neutral is so you can spin the shaft easily for hooking up. Super handy. Long overdue
Nvm apparently this has been mentioned 😅
That was a really nice informational walk-around your new tractor. Sweet Ride. hope you enjoy the heck out of it.
Thanks!!

Awesome!! Did you get autotrac?
@@RockyAcresFarmstead yes. I really only use it as a plow and planter tractor. Just a wheat farmer.
@@gibbons025 that makes sense. Man I betcha that autotrac is nice!

That is good support from your dealer

Thanks for the feedback! We’re really enjoying the tractor!
How's the tractor holding up?
I love it!
We run our economy PTO on the hay cutter and baler both with our 2021 5100e. We have 0 issues with it. And it saves around 20-25% fuel.
How level is your ground??

I just couldn’t see that being the case for me here. I could be wrong? I don’t know!

What is the price tag
Obviously, it’s like a car. You can customize how you want. I’d say upper limit with GPS would be around 125. Base model around 80
What was the price?
I would say base starts somewhere in the low 80’s all the way to 130’s if I had to guess.

I also thought the orange switch on console changed gears just like on our 7230. He said it changed the lift speed.

Yes. It’s 100 percent a budget tractor.
5E, that is…
Buy a LS save $25k put it rest into a cd that pays 6% …..done
