That's a strong man to be even able to talk about his sons that have passed openly. Seems like a really great dude.
As someone in the educational field, I love the fact that the philosophy of the facility he was sent to shows what youth need that are in trouble. And the fact that some of the staff went to see him at a convention later on was so sweet!

Booboo gave me all of my tattoos and I can 100% confirm that he spent his time with me on my smaller tattoos and didn’t shame me for what I wanted. He is a bright light now missing from this world. Great interview, Freddy is an icon.

Now that was an interesting video, Inked. My heart goes out to Freddy, I can't imagine out living your kids. But damn, Jack Rudy, Paul? Ed? Freddy? You guys are tattoo royalty. I remember buying the tattoo magazines, my god, twenty-five years ago? Thirty? Making up for lost time now in my 50s and covering the skin worth putting ink into.

I like hearing freddy because , he learned, tattooing in the varrio and in prison , so did I, I hate the term scratchers , but we actually created the Chicano black and gray , fine line single needle style.

I’m saying a prayer for you, that you might find relief from your sorrows more often than not. God bless. The early part of story resonates with me because I was the child of parents who were in and out of prison while I found my own troubles in my own beginning. To see your success is a wonderful story.
Dam that was deep. Your an inspiration. By now means am I a great like you. But I've been tattoing for years off and on. I personally know your sorrows. I lost my boys 14 years ago. Stay up homie, like they say. What doesnt kill us makes us stronger. Keep on with that bad ass tattooing. God Bless you in the fight to push on.

Good for you to get the guards to get you a year off is something plus jack Rudy to be your meantor although you knew how to tattoo from being locked down you have a great attitude you were around all of the best you do what you do to learn al my teachers went to jail I had to make needles mix pigment and tattoo my first tattoo I guess it wasn’t to good I was in this shady shop the only one in town and I ended up tattooing al my life that was the early 90s I’m 60 now and don’t like the drama of a shop so I tattoo at home north of Toronto Canada but you sir are a legend and I love your work like you say if you want to learn you will I’m still doing it and love the craft things have changed so much but still love to tattoo good video ale gene in the tattoo world
