Funny thing about Mids is the fact that Jordan essentially wore them to play in. The cut of his Chicago 1’s was closer to the mids compared to the shoes that were available to the masses.

Honestly if you can save the extra 70 bucks just get the highs if you can snag off retail. I personally didn’t like the mids because it wasn’t An “original” cut. But I actually got my first pair of mids like a month ago for way under retail and I thought it was a good price. Ended up flipping em because the quality just isn’t up to par with highs. You can actually probably get a slightly worn pair of highs for below retail. Leather isn’t as good, the tongue is weirdly high and not cushioned at all, and the padding in general doesn’t feel as nice. They’re very stiff so if you think you can get a leather pair of mids to compensate for a leather high, don’t think it’s very possible for below retail of highs. Of course there’s the special release mids but those are hard to get

Another thing is, all Jordans are built to be performance basketball sneakers. Sure, there's some models that look great casually, namely 1s, 3s, 4s, 5,s 6s, 11s, 12s, 13s, so on, but if you want a pair of 1s to also actually hoop and run in, mids/lows are the way to go because highs just way too expensive.

Lows are super slept on imo, highs are the standard, and the colorway really depends on the mids for me personally

bro i live in the middle east and a pair of mids from nike or foot locker sells for 130(rarely) to 170(most often) and if I buy from stock x fees and shipping for a decent shoe is like $50-$60 so for me and most other people in the middle east mids are the best option.
