Yes. I've already pass the MD-100 exam. Now it is time to study for MD-101. I'm also working in the IT area for more than 10 years. I dont know why i dint taken the exams earlier ....

@@frankthoe5833 for me was easy, but you have to take your time to read carefully the questions. Some of them are little tricky. I pass with 880 points.
@Ishmael Johnson i've bought the materials from examlabs, but i used the dump exam file to check my knowledge and then find what i need to learn directly from microsoft.com. My first try on the sample exam was 180 correct answers of 221 so most of the things i've already know from experience :)
We are looking at implementing this as a requirement for our small team. How many hours do you think you studied for the MD-100 exam?
I just passed my MD-100 with a score of 919 today! I am happy! On to MD-101! :)

This video was great, but there's always that portion that says the certificate alone won't guarantee you a job, you will need experience. Maybe channels like this should include how to get experience without having "hands-on" experience. This seems to be the main issue people face when applying for jobs. Could I have 20 certs and not get hired because I have no experience? Aimlessly obtaining certificates doesn't inspire me because it's not a full proof plan to land a job. If setting up my own home lab and "practicing" is considered experience I guess I can try that out. I still believe there is a lot of situational luck involved in landing jobs. Good video though, I enjoyed it.
It’s more a matter of learning as much as you can about IT infrastructure fundamentals such as deploying systems, managing desktops, using endpoint managements and ad ds… learning the basics of hardware, learning the basics of networking etc THEN being able to prove said skills within the interview.
If you’re a noob and haven’t landed a job in IT as of yet but you’ve been applying to interviews and getting invited to attend some… that speaks volumes right there.
You’re wanted/ needed.
Also people forget to talk about how important resumes are and interview preps are.
Learn the material then sale yourself by proving what you’ve learned with the details.
And get used to learning at home. I’m new into IT and that’s ALL I do in my spare time is take certifications, use different learning systems such as W3 schools and research different material on TH-cam and the internet.
If you’re serious about getting a start into IT, look into “Per Scholas”. It’s free and they’re providing remote training right now.

Azure offers a free amount of funds per month I believe, you could get started using that. Make some dummy/test accounts to act as users to login as them to test things, deploy some VM's, setup some virtual networks and all that kind of stuff. From there just look for small IT companies to potentially join, but make sure it's cloud based if that's where you want to go or whatever other path your looking to go down.
I think it's off of the intro's goal. But anyway, to get hands-on experience, you should first accept an entry level job, such as technical customer service, answering phone calls. Then, find your way up within the company.
This is how the most of us did.

Attaining this certification, along with CompTIA A+, will go a long way towards helping you get your first Help Desk job.

I just did MD-101 today (I already had the Win 10 MCSA from before).
It's hard. Get the A+ done and it will get you the first job. And maybe study the MD-100 course for the knowledge but don't feel like you have to pass without any experience. Learn the operating system properly alongside your work, then maybe get a new/better job once you pass that and you've got some good experience.
MD-101 to get the full certification takes some real experience, it's not like when I did the exams before. I've got the Server 2016 MCSA and I was making guesses based on group policy and certificate/PKI stuff that I learnt doing that in order to get the pass mark that I did (only 780).
Having said that, if you get into a good, small company and you get involved in their 365 desktop/device management, you'll gain extra marks where I probably guessed wrong. I've pretty much only ever dealt with traditional deployments and AD infrastructure so it was 100% new to me.
