    It’s good for lower reps too. 5-7RM + 2-3 + 2-3 + 2-3, every 30-45 seconds, until you get approximately 12-15 total reps.

    I'm always looking for ways to shorten my workout time.....rest pause, if the theory is correct, sounds amazing.

    What do you think about doing rest-pause for few accessories after the big compound lifts? Like hitting some other body parts that may not have been activated well, like calves, or delts, etc

      I’m no expert, but from what I’ve seen and researched, you want to keep Myo reps (rest pause sets, effective reps, whatever you want to call it.) pretty much exclusive to isolation movements. In general, form breakdown on isolation movements don’t have much nearly as much risk in terms of injury or detonating your spine when compared to compound lifts. So as a general rule, only keep Myo reps to single joint movements like bicep/hamstring curls, Tricep/quad extensions, lateral raises, etc.

    I like how it’s an advanced way to work out lol.. the reason I’ve been doing it is because I fail early and I feel like I bitch out if I don’t finish my set 😂 but I’m pretty sure I need to just drop weight and not ego lift.
