Carly said everything and nothing at the same time just by hugging her son, looking him in his eyes while she held his face… and hugged him again. That scene will never NOT make me cry.
I always wished that Jason would have stayed Michael's father. He was his father for the first almost 2 years of his life. He took care of Michael so well. Jason went to PRISON FOR Michael...now that's LOVE.
What's sad is in robin waited til Michael was 2 ah couldnt have touched them in court. I think aj had the right to know but if not sonny was the worst thing that happened to michael. Sonny wasnt the best dad. Yea he loves his kids but his attentions would go to whatever woman he was banging. He also was careless . Jason wasnt eithet except with sam but they were relaxing on their honeymoon. Jason should have left the business their must have been away . I know he quit s couple times but he always had to bail sonny out
This was a true father son moment. I know Jason is supposed to be "the uncle" but he is sooo much more. Steve and Chad acted their butts off here. This is not an easy thing to deal with and the love and pain they displayed here was so real that if anyone is watching this and is going through the same, I hope this gives them strength enough to tell someone. It happens to alot of people...it's hard,,it's terrible and it's important to know that there is help out there and YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
My wife was raped on bathroom floor by 2 guys that were there with a girl that she went to Hs with they drugged her my wife never drinks except on special occasion when she with me cause she knows I’d kill anyone who tries to hurt her she still after 20 yrs has nightmares about it she got really protective of my daughter from previous marriage and her teen nieces when they were at age were they started drinking she told them trust no one with ur drink except ur family member
Aw Jason is crying! Such a good scene between Michael and him. I really want it to come out that Michael is Jason's kid all along. Carly and Michael scene was good too. I'm crying!
Loved this storyline. It was very bold of the writers to do this storyline and this Michael is such a good actor. I like him better than the old Michael.
I think the writers could have taken Michael into a deeper character as a result of this trauma, killing Claudia, being kidnapped and losing Morgan. I wish the would have made the adult Michael more like the younger (red head) Micheal and Jason’s personality… more angry… it would fit him better, especially being raised by Jason, Sonny and crazy Carly.
they should give emmys for group or duo scenes Steve and Chad and were fantastic and when Laura walked in the trio just acted the crap out of that scene i remember this like it was yesterday and the tears are still flowing
@gclover916 Yes, at times he refers to Jason as "my Uncle Jason" or "my uncle" (ie, "My uncle taught me how to fight"). He also refers to Edward as his "great-grandfather", which he is, through AJ. He knows all about his Q heritage.
An incredible performance from all involved in the storyline. Rape isn't an easy issue to cover. Full praise to the actor playing Michael for an emotional and powerful throughout the storyline.
No matter what you are going through, the instant "I love you" from anyone you give your truth to is what makes the difference between recovery and relapse.
I just want to give Michael a big hug... and strangely enough, I actually think Jason was great here. He really regrets everything that's happened to Michael because of him. It'd be better if I thought it'd get everyone out of the mob, but baby steps, right?
Never could stand Jason but I’ve always loved❤️ the way he loves Michael. I Wished they would have kept Abby alive. Her&michael were such an enduring couple. Can’t Stand that Carlys so pushy and selfish. And demanding especially when it comes to Jason.
Jason was great to Michael throughout his entire ordeal in regards to everything that happened to him in jail. Especially, in dealing with the fact that he was rape. The only problem we have with Jason's character is that the writers don't pay attention to certain details that in the long run made the character look inconsistent and up to a certain point he started acting like a total insensitive jackass. For instance, spoiler alert, after Sam and Jason find out that the baby she was expecting was allegedly Franco's Jason reacted in the most selfish way. He didn't even try to be understanding, supportive or even loving to his wife. Jason didn't even try to act the same way he did with Michael during the rape storyline. Instead, during Sam's ordeal, first Jason was focused on vengeance and payback. He was so angry that he didn't put in perspective that everything Sam did she did it out of fear and out of hurt because she was the victim of a horrible crime. During the whole Franco aftermath, Jason forgot the promises and the vows he made to Sam. There is nothing that can excuse such behavior. To make matters worse Jason leaned on Elizabeth knowing the history they shared and that the moment Sam where to find out that was going to hurt her very deeply. Granted it was wrong for Sam to lean on McBain but Jason had bailed on Sam first for his selfish reasons. Jason left her alone, first, because of the whole Robin misunderstanding and then because of the paternity test. But Jason at any given time never put himself in her position. Sam was dealing with a lot, especially with his anger and need for vengeance while at the same time she was dealing with her own trauma as a rape victim. But Jason couldn't see all of what she was going through. Jason had to be selfish and dishonored his vows. For a man that allegedly doesn't break promises he didn'tn't have any problems breaking promises to Sam. He did it back in 2007 and he did it again in 2012. It seems that the writers only like it when Jason keeps his word to everyone else but Sam. There is nothing more important than wedding vows and the promises made with them. But the fact that Jason acted with such disrespect and disregard towards them was very revealing about his character. All of the above, makes it more evident that the writers really did a poor service to Steve Burton ( hereinafter, SB) during that 2012 entire storyline. The way the writers portrait Jason it was so uncharacteristic of who he was that at times he looked weak minded, insensitive and indecisive. It was really difficult to watch because when you come to respect a character for who he is and what he represents and then at the eleventh (11th) hour the writers come and change things so much that the character starts acting weird and in ways that are not like him it is just simply unacceptable and disrespectful to the audience and to the character. Let's think about something for minute, during the storyline about Michael's rape, Jason was extremely understanding, carrying, always ready to listen and open minded. But when the same thing happened to Sam and she needed Jason to be the same way he was with Michael, unfortunately, he was no where to be found. Instead, he was irrational, unable to listen, he didn't show compassion and understanding. At the time, it was more important for Jason to seek his vengeance than to be there for his wife. He didn't even try to walk a mile on Sam's shoes. Which is ironic because he always had time, availability and understanding to spread around for everyone that was in trouble in Port Charles but not for Sam when she needed it the most. The aforementioned, it's just to exemplify how bad the writers screwed up Jason's character in the last storyline he was going to part of before SB departed the show in 2012. The only thing that comes to mind is that once again the writers forgot to think about the female perspective while they were writing. They could have done a lot with said storyline without making Jason look like an insensitive selfish jackass that didn't care at all about his wedding vows to honor them. Jason should have known that after the baby died Sam was going to lash out. Especially, against him. Although, this is doesn't excused her behavior but he could have taken responsibility for the part he played on her not been able to get the help she needed. When Jason saw her with McBain, he should have stepped in and try to have a conversation with his wife instead of running off, like he was not partially responsible for his wife vulnerability. Jason needed to remember that nothing happens in a vacuum and the minute he allowed Sam to walk out of their home he was in the wrong. She needed him and he failed her. Furthermore, after the baby's death, if Jason truly wanted to make amends he should have fought hard for Sam. Just like Patrick fought for Robin after his affair with Lisa or the way Dante fought for Lulu after she broke up with him. In both instances, Patrick and Dante were relentless. They didn't give up and they immediately took responsibility for their actions. The fact that Jason didn't do any of those things and he kept confiding in Elizabeth made his character look stupid, idiotic and like a hypocrite who didn't care at all about his wedding vows and the promises he made to Sam. Every single time Jason bump into Sam or saw her Jason should have told Sam that he was not going to give up on them. Not matter what. Jason should had been actively pursuing her. Something he has never done before. Elizabeth and McBain should have never gotten so close to neither Jason nor Sam. But, it seems that the prevalent opinion among the writers in 2012 was to make the women look like pathetic beings with no sense of right and wrong and make the men act as primitive as cavemen without making sense of anything at all until, most of the time, was little too late or a woman decided to come and safe the day or change her mind. It was just plain ridiculous and totally unnecessary. Our hope is that today's writers pay better attention to details and don't make dramatic changes that don't make sense to beloved characters because at the end of the day trust us it doesn't pay off.
As a mama i appreciate how quickly Carly (Laura) switched from hurt/confusion into protective mama mode. She came in all emotional and when her child needed she stuffed those emotions and didn’t put them on him.
as much as I love SB as Jason I really love BM as Jason too, I loved him as Billy on y&r he was my favorite Billy actually and people saying he sucks should watch the scenes of him on y&r when Delia died because he can do emotional scenes, he won lime two emmy's for y&r so don't say he sucks just because you prefer Steve that's not fair, be had to replace someone that played the role for 21 years and for a recast he's done really well.
In a way a lot of heavy history was shown here michael as a result of carly & Jason's actions when he was a little baby resulted in this moment. It hit me when the camera showed carly hugging michael & jason standing there so sad. It's like they were very young people who believed they were doing the best for michael but sadly the world jason lived in sent michael in this direction. If carly had never got with jason she never would have met sonny who she slept with breaking Jason's heart & sonny & carly got together him blackmailing AJ to give up all rights to michael & it all led to this. Sonny brought crazy mob princess claudia into their lives . & most people know the rest after michael killed claudia in self defense but for some stupid reason the adults decided to lie & cover so then one if Jason's enemies franco had the proof & it all pushed Michael to confess. If he had confessed when it happened he would not have been arrested as it was justifiable homicide. But the judge sent a message to everyone about lying & cover ups. Which they all shouod have been arrested for as well for obstruction . I have to say seeing a really wonderful dr helps so much.
Billy Miller does not suck as Jason Morgan how he would have played this scene we will never know! I would like to see a flashback with BM doing this scene just to see the difference between the SB and BM and when Michael tell his mom it was intense and brave to carry this with for as long as he did but when Dante finds out he feels more responsible for turning him in which I don't blame him for that this whole Michael going to prison was totally on Sonny,Carly,Jax , and Jason
today we need Jason to remember he is Jason..... I think hes the only one that could get through to Michael.... I miss steve burton as Jason but billy is doing great......I want my Jason back
@natnatsworld5598 Thank you so much for the information! Now that I know what happened, I'm wondering if Michael knows. Does he know that Jason is his uncle?
I hope with Steve burtons return they will revisit Carly's dislike against her best efforts for Dante. I hope she will say she holds him account despite trying to do her best to like him. But I also hope Steve burtons return will also explain her falling for Franco a few years ago. Such a lapse in the writers judgement, they have to cover that pothole up. Seriously, Carly needs to be redeemed for almost marrying the dude her arranged her sons rape ( yes I know in a tacky backtracking attempt the writers said Franco tried to call the rape off. But wtf?!? That creep still snuck into her infant daughters bedroom and blackmailed Carly with proof of Michael murdering Claudia.) tumor or not, the writers still need to offer an explanation and logical defense. Otherwise, Carly loses major rooting value.
This scene is one of the many reasons why it was so appropriate when Jason ended the real Franco. And so entirely fucked up for the One Life To Live regime to bring him back (not coincidentally in the form of their own pet rapist) and then expect everybody to treat that piece of shit like a boy scout and blame it all on a "brain tumor". God, I miss the REAL General Hospital. So much better than the Parasite Nina Praise & Worship Hour that exists in its place today.
Those saying Billy sucks as Jason needs to get it together!!! He's doing an excellent job as Jason but if u compare him to Steve u are never going to move forward bc he made that character now the growth that Billy is giving Jason is perfect!!! He shows more emotions than anything!!! I love Billy as Jason and hope he sticks around for the long run!!!
I have to respectfully disagree. I understand that sometimes other actors have to take over, and I've accepted most of of the people who played Carly for example....except for that burnett who looked crazy and screamed all the time. However, I accepted them because they elaborated on Carly's character and even though they all played her differently, they made the character their own. I think Billy struggles with that. Half the time he looks awkward and not 100% percent confident in his choices which is why I really can't buy him as Jason. I've tried and tried to accept him as Jason, but he simply doesn't have any of the natural qualities that made Jason... Jason. It's nothing against the actor really, but I think the casting was just off on this.
General hospital screwed this up in a normal reality Michael would still be struggling. With what happened to him trust me? I know I was raped but not in prison but as a child he should still be having struggles with this
Why do rape victims always seem to second guess themselves when they themselves are the victims? I understand they are still in a traumatic event but they need to understand that being raped is not their fault and neither is defending yourself from being raped either.
You second guess all of your decisions, like if even one choice could have been different, it wouldn’t have happened. It doesn’t help when people tell you that you put yourself into that situation. Years ago, that stat was 1 out of 4 women. I hope that it’s lower now.
At Sarah Jane I totally agree that's why it would of been better if they turned the roles and had Jason be Michael biological father and now that Aj is in the picture and Jason isn't I have hopes for Michael and Aj to work things out even though he done terrible things but from his acting he is trying to make things right with Sonny forget it he tries to do good but always go back to doing not so good.l I miss Steve Burton: (
So many feels, where is Steve Burton. The new guy sucks! Look at the emotion in this. Steve almost starts crying. He is amazing... I feel bad for Michael.. 😧
As beautiful as this scene was, Carly's contribution/shining moment as a mother here was completely destroyed the second she slept with Franco, then fell in love with him and expected Michael to be ok with it. She deserved to be destroyed for that it was so disgusting
I would normally agree with you, but I really think it was the fault of the writers who have been making some lousy mistakes. The whole brain tumor thing is just stupid and they shouldn't have introduced it in the first place.
Yeah that's why it's hard to take soaps seriously because writers think shock value and scandalous plot lines are more interesting than plots that makes sense and solid character development. I really enjoyed Carly after Jason died/AJ returned before she convinced herself that Franco was the one because she seemed more independent, more thoughtful, less jealous and spiteful, and ultimately stronger. I was really hoping her and AJ would have learned how get the friendship they had back before she drugged him and maybe even he and Sonny would have reconciled, but for some reason everyone had to fall back into their own routines, and they gave Michael crap for not accepting it
Yeah , they need to refresh their brains and get to some new and exciting storylines I'm sick of Danny being sick they need to heal him now with this Sam and her dad storyline eh I just hope they don't wait forever to reveal it and who killed Connie is OK I mean its clearly Ava Jerome ( I think ) .
8:50 Carly should have pulled Jason into her second hug with Michael because Jarly are Michael’s real parents. Jason acts more like Michael’s father than Sonny does.
I know I probably get dragged but in female rape story lines the actress is always annoying, overacting, and over dramatic for me to take seriously. With that being said shame on them for making Laura's rape a love story.Im glad that Genie Francis finally said that it was wrong made me lose respect for Tony Geary for not saying it was wrong also
this is why I hate parents they are always the ones who are scared of their child killing themselves because of events like this and parents push too hard, I know that they want to help and make sure their child is OK, and is doing well, but pushing their child to go see someone,or if the parents think that their is something wrong, "with him being gay or not " and then the mother comes in and puts words in her son's mouth saying that he is scared, maybe by not talking about it makes him not think about what happened to him, and or not feel the pain he felt. sometimes people need to lay off, I'm not saying don't check up on him, but don't push, don't tell everyone you know about it , you'll just make him feel like everyone knows what happened but really half of the stuff that has been passed around was just thing other people say, and made up, you can't know his someone is feeling until you go though the exact thing, and when people well is he/her or them are okay, well then ask yourself this if you had got violated and something inside of you for several hours and or minutes and no one was going to help you, how would you feel?
Michael is the only person Jason would help before Carly.
That father/son hug was so special.
Jason is MORE his father than even Sonny in my opinions
Who do think Jason would save first @@itsjuanderful
Jason is Michael’s biological uncle
Carly said everything and nothing at the same time just by hugging her son, looking him in his eyes while she held his face… and hugged him again. That scene will never NOT make me cry.
I love that he went to Jason first, then Carly. It was his TRUE parents that he came to first. It was beautiful.
True parent would not have put him in that situation. Carly is a bitch and a hypocrite.
This is the first time I ever seen this I am in tears great acting
Well what man would want to tell their mom they were raped?
I always wished that Jason would have stayed Michael's father. He was his father for the first almost 2 years of his life. He took care of Michael so well. Jason went to PRISON FOR Michael...now that's LOVE.
I agree
Sissy Young absolutely!

Facts!
This is a true father son bond,Carly an Jason are his true parents,an this is also where Jason loves them both!
It was rare seeing Jason cry I remember this episode and seeing him get emotional. Ugh honestly just made me get all teary 🙈 Jason is amazing✨
Steff the Disney girl Steve Burton IS such an awesome actor, you see the pain he feels for Michael 😭😭😭
You can see it in his eyes how much he loves Michael
andrew show This scene was so sad . Michael is his son . Their bond is amazing
Chad Duell is such an amazing actor , the beginning scene with Jason when he was crying and when he said "I tried" I broke into tears with him .
Aw Jason is crying! Such a good scene between Michael and him. I really want it to come out that Michael is Jason's kid all along. Carly and Michael scene was good too. I'm crying!
Bring back Steve Burton phenomenal actor.
Only if vaxxed 💉
Guess what?
This was a great scene, as were all the scenes associated with it. This storyline was a turning point for Michael. He really began to grow here.
These actors have the best chemistry! Can’t wait for Steve to be back!!! 🥰🥰
These two work so well together, Jason and Michael. Chad and Steve did great in these scenes
Loved this storyline. It was very bold of the writers to do this storyline and this Michael is such a good actor. I like him better than the old Michael.
Lets give him the full credit he deserves. Chad Duell.
@@dillowman8 To be fair, six years ago the actor didn't actually have a name.
I think the writers could have taken Michael into a deeper character as a result of this trauma, killing Claudia, being kidnapped and losing Morgan. @gclover916 Yes, at times he refers to Jason as "my Uncle Jason" or "my uncle" (ie, "My uncle taught me how to fight"). He also refers to Edward as his "great-grandfather", which he is, through AJ. He knows all about his Q heritage.
This is one of the few times Jason asks Carly to leave.
chad's acting in these scene is excellent. He should get a ton of awards.
An incredible performance from all involved in the storyline. Rape isn't an easy issue to cover. Full praise to the actor playing Michael for an emotional and powerful throughout the storyline.
I agree with you completely, I miss Steve on this show in particular I miss the relationship he had with Michael
Jason always loved Michael as his own 💙
I loved Jason and Michael's relationship.

Michael is Jason's nephew. The show would like you to believe that Michael is Sonny's kid but his father is AJ.
Michael needs Jason and really Carly and Jason was micheals parents.

This is why I used to love GH for
Nothing against BM but I will always love and miss SB as Jason.
me to
He needs to come back.
He's back! Lol
Kissed by The sun right
Alecia Rutherford Glad he's back.
Michael was always his son
No
This scene is one of the many reasons why it was so appropriate when Jason ended the real Franco.
+QueenSoap I agree. Steve Burton is the only actor who is Jason. He made that character all his own.
+QueenSoap agree!
He's a great actor they should have kept his character Jake doe but he's no Jason Morgan
General hospital screwed this up in a normal reality Michael would still be struggling. With what happened to him trust me? I know I was raped but not in prison but as a child he should still be having struggles with this
I still can’t believe GH took it there. So powerful
At Sarah Jane I totally agree that's why it would of been better if they turned the roles and had Jason be Michael biological father and now that Aj is in the picture and Jason isn't I have hopes for Michael and Aj to work things out even though he done terrible things but from his acting he is trying to make things right with Sonny forget it he tries to do good but always go back to doing not so good.l I miss Steve Burton: (
Poor Michael:/
So many feels, where is Steve Burton. The new guy sucks! Look at the emotion in this. Steve almost starts crying. He is amazing... I feel bad for Michael.. 😧
SB is phenomenal
+Danielle Burnett I know, I feel like the show has taken a dive without him.
+Amanda Alabane I couldn't agree more! There is an huge element missing without him. I feel like it isn't the same show!
+Danielle Burnett Exactly, I'm glad someone else gets it.
Amanda Alabane he's back!!
I was really hoping her and AJ would have learned how get the friendship they had back before she drugged him and maybe even he and Sonny would have reconciled, but for some reason everyone had to fall back into their own routines, and they gave Michael crap for not accepting it
Benjamin Kramer pp
franco had mike raped, for carly to love him is so fuck up.
what is the song in the backround?
I haven't watched too much of this show, so could someone explain the relationship between Michael and Jason?
Uncle and nephew.
That broke carlys heart
YOU CAN SEE IT IN THESE SCENES .AWESOME JUST AWESOME 👌.
Nombre de la serie por favor
I really wish Jason was Michael father.
Me too glad someone agrees with me .
What did Michael say at 0:17?
General Hospital | Michael Tells Abby and Dante He Was Raped | 2-2-11
Yeah , they need to refresh their brains and get to some new and exciting storylines I'm sick of Danny being sick they need to heal him now with this Sam and her dad storyline eh I just hope they don't wait forever to reveal it and who killed Connie is OK I mean its clearly Ava Jerome ( I think ) .
8:50 Carly should have pulled Jason into her second hug with Michael because Jarly are Michael’s real parents. Jason acts more like Michael’s father than Sonny does.
01-23-12 Sonny Tells Johnny Who His Real Parents Are.wmv
I was molested when I went to juvenile detention center by my brother Zachary
So sorry
Me to by my uncle when I was 17!
@zmelon actually no
only liz and liv r good mothers
Jason was the best Uncle dad better dad then aj
congratulations Carly mother of the year material lol
AJ was no worse then Sonny or Jason
Carly and Jason are his parents they're really there for him always and so his aunt Sam
How is Jason and Abby related to Micheal?
Amy Jones Jason is Michael's uncle. Michael's biological father is Jason's brother AJ. Abby was a girl Michael dated, she's dead on the show now.
That’s incredible but it’s Jason Carly and sonny fault how mike keeps getting hurr
OMG I AM GONNA CRY😫
I know I probably get dragged but in female rape story lines the actress is always annoying, overacting, and over dramatic for me to take seriously. With that being said shame on them for making Laura's rape a love story.Im glad that Genie Francis finally said that it was wrong made me lose respect for Tony Geary for not saying it was wrong also
this is why I hate parents they are always the ones who are scared of their child killing themselves because of events like this and parents push too hard, I know that they want to help and make sure their child is OK, and is doing well, but pushing their child to go see someone,or if the parents think that their is something wrong, "with him being gay or not " and then the mother comes in and puts words in her son's mouth saying that he is scared, maybe by not talking about it makes him not think about what happened to him, and or not feel the pain he felt. sometimes people need to lay off, I'm not saying don't check up on him, but don't push, don't tell everyone you know about it , you'll just make him feel like everyone knows what happened but really half of the stuff that has been passed around was just thing other people say, and made up, you can't know his someone is feeling until you go though the exact thing, and when people well is he/her or them are okay, well then ask yourself this if you had got violated and something inside of you for several hours and or minutes and no one was going to help you, how would you feel?
i agree right know if steve was in the show it wouldnot suck this much
you are not the onlyone. i think this was when gh was good know it kind of sucks.
Jack rips up divorce papers Part 1
Oh god i extremely mist the writers and moments of these day
Still powerful.
the new guy playing Jason dose not sucks WTF😈
yes he does
+Paulette Kyser it's just a different take on the character
As Jason Morgan I have to respectfully disagree because he does not do the character right
GH is so great
11 02 12 AJ & Michael
02 26 13 Heather Stabs Steve
im so glad they went with chad as michael he was the best so good totally team michael now n so hot
Amazing acting by all three. The acting we see today, especially with characters like Nina and Ava, is so inferior
@envious01 Thank you!!!!
Michael 'comforting' Jason here was a little too 'mature,' I think.
GH Extra Halloween 2013 Part 4
neither I being molested but it happens believe I would know I'm the victim
I really believe Jason still wants Franco and Dante dead for this to happen
Not Dante but Franco probably.
GH 09/28-29/09~JaSam: "I Want You To Come Home With Me, Tonight!"
i HATE how they r trying to make abby/michael another early liz/lucky storyline with a twist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they SUCK compared to LnL2!
