The scene where Michael told Jason about the rape was so incredibly gut-wrenching, I was crying too. What a powerful story!! Chad Duell is a rare find. He put so much emotion into his acting and pulls the audience into his performance. If he doesn't win a Daytime Emmy for this I will not be a happy camper. Bravo Chad!! Keep up the awesome work!!!
Chad is a great actor. Drew was great too, especially at playing an ambitious and entitled 'Michael Corinthos III.' But I think Chad is wonderful, especially at playing sensitive, vulnerable and wounded. Not every actor could do what he did in this scene.
What Dante says in the beginning - "There's no need to cover this up, let him take the win, let him take the credit" - he's talking sense! I wish more soap opera plotlines unfolded like this! So many unnecessary coverups that just make things worse. Pretty funny though how this seems to be an entirely new concept to Jason. He repeats it to Michael like he's still unsure it's true.
It's ironic though, since Dante wouldn't "let him have the win" when he defended his mother and newborn baby sister against the deranged Claudia Zucchini.
@@fordcountry420 What are you talking about? Dante didn't know anything about that for months after it happened. He had nothing to do with the (very stupid) decision to cover it up.
I am sick to death of soaps having used the rape of women as a plot device for decades. I even saw a list once of the female characters in one show, as to numbers of marriages, divorces and rape. It is monstrous that people accept this common depiction of violence against women as entertainment, both characters and viewers. Now they have had it happen to a man, and everyone is running around saying how horrible that is.
Nobody has to go through abuse like that. It's always hard to get it out and it eats you inside for days and weeks just to not say anything to your family about it.
Why is Dante neither writing this down nor recording it? Considering his personal position in this situation, not to mention the effect the state of the victim would have in any testimony, he shouldn't be relying on his own memory of her statement...
@@kathrynhoward4196 What, you don't say?! I thought it was a docudrama! I guess that means that the show has no obligation to have characters behave realistically or portray various professions competently. My bad🙄!

@@envious01 yeah she should’ve stayed on, definitely. And remember that one guy who worked at ELQ with them, Asher? They should’ve kept him on too and made him Abby‘s brother or done a love triangle between him Abby and Michael. I liked that actor.

how can u call it rape when its male on male?
@@krystalharwood7842 it doesn't matter. If it was forced and against Michael's will, it's still rape.
@@krystalharwood7842 That's a messed up, ignorant question.
My heart still breaks every time I watch this scene. it's so believable. Amazing acting by Chad Duell.
DAMN IK it's just a soap but don't wish death on a child ... Geez 😡😠🤬
I'm the victim of child sexual abuse and severe domestic violence
He should've won the Emmy.
wow, that's some good acting, right there. powerful.

This was one of the most well written stories. I really loved Abbie and Michael. This young man has had nothing but ill-fated loves.

This was very sad to watch, Chad did an amazing job, I was glad he told Jason first. He has been the one there for him so.
Abby was the only woman who really loved Michael I hate that stupid frank took her away from him😢
And only did so to force pair Michael with that talentless little twat from OLTL
i wish they didnt kill abbey off. i like her
The fact that he said " you'll never touch me again"😣😔
That's hurt me so bad. I cried frist time i saw and i cry again.

Abby has really come up as an actor exiting from General Hospital. She plays in a couple lifetime movies I’ve seen.😊

Is OK brother Michael 👌 ❤😢 I am here for you so is your family and friends in gh
I can’t stand Dante. He’s never a brother when he needs to be.
Who is Abby?
Michael's ex-girlfriend. she randomly died off screen.

What ever happened to Steven Lars Webber?
He ended up going to prison for a crime he committed before he came back to Port Charles.
I'm bawling
dante listen to jason he knows what's going on
Po' thang
The only thing I would have changed about this scene was the repeated use of the phrase then Michael pulled him off please just say intervened
