Busy man you are, appreciative audience we are. Thank you sir, having runa LOT of these tests on my own in the last couple days I utterly respect the effort you put out for us. Cheers
First I love that you add the little history lessons in, I also love that you think of these things that most of us wouldn't question until it actually comes up. Thanks for another great tutorial.
Did you ever try forage wagons? I like to have a hay barn, and just pick straw and hay/grass up off the ground with a forage wagon, and drop it off at the barn pickup, it always worked well for dropping off straw for bedding in fs19. I like that the mixr wagons can eat bales, that will save me time too... for when I do make bales, seems like I may do more of that now.
@@hetwade77 bale degradation and animal season specific output could be added with a seasons mod and they do add some realism, and thus complication. I'm not sure about animal cleanliness though, as that was mirroring the base game mechanic, maybe they'll skip over it this time, who knows.
I’m with you on this. Seasons should be an option for the people that want a more realistic simulation. I was hoping the animal pens could be made any size using the fence building option. The pens in game are way too small.
I thought FS19 had many great improvements and was a great step forward. I think Giants have gotten things just right with FS22, the many small gameplay improvements make this perfect for me.👍
Irl sheep and goats are great natural lawn mowers, with the added bonus that they fertilize behind them. Then you have the other added bonus that lambs and kids (baby goats) are most adorable farm young. Also, goats milk is actually quite good.
I appreciate that they tried something different and attempted to integrate seasons into their basegame. I will enjoy playing it, but I think they fell a bit short on their first attempt. In FS19 my favorite part of seasons was the seasonal animal outputs, and the functions of putting them to pastor. I would have loved it if they had added that function to both seasons and non seasons gameplay, and made turning seasonal cycles on only effect other aspects (visual, crop cycles, etc). As well as some older style of pens with more manual needs (water, cleaning, etc).
You've overlooked the fact that the Black Welsh Mountain sheep are bought at 30 months old compared to 8 months old for the other breeds - apart from that there are zero differences between all four breeds (except cosmetic of course). A 30 month-old sheep of any of the other breeds will perform identically to the 30 month-old Black Welsh Mountain sheep.
Very informative!!! Thanks very much, MrSealyP, for taking the extra time, effort, & work to do all of this for us. Great job! Great video! As always, thanks for all that you’ve been very busy doing & continue to be doing to provide us with as much helpful & useful info about so many things FS22-related! :-)
As you could see you get sheep running in and out of the pens sometimes but if you look sometimes up about 40 ft you'll find them floating in mid-air. I even had one laying down up there in midair for a total of 4 sheep that thought they were birds.
Hello Mr. P! Another great video here and I love it! While the Black Welsh Mountain clearly produces more wool, I am not sure they eat less. It seems they only started with more food, I am not sure why. It seems the Steinschaf and Swiss Black-Brown Mountain started with 4500l of grass and the Black Welsh Moutain started at 11500l of grass. It seems that there is always a 7000l difference between them everytime we have a look at it. I may be missing something here though. Thanks!
Yes so as I mentionned on your cow video, you provided a wrong information. Black Welsh Mountain aren't eating less (31:46 you talk about it). Welsh started with 11'500L and end up with 7575L which mean they are 3925L. The Swiss Black-Brown started with 4500 and end with 575L which mean they also ate 3925L. The sheep in the pasture started with 3000L and end up with 1321L which mean they ate 1679L but I believe that you left a grass bale next to their feeder to provide food without having to resupply constantly so I'm pretty sure the grass bale is not there anymore because it all ended up in the feeder. What was the size of the bale I can't figure out lol. So I have no idea exactly how much they ate but they probably, just like the cow, all eat pretty much the same amount. So yeah, the Black welsh seem the way to go for wool production. Probably why they cost more?
Awsome video! Thank you Could you help with the new stones feature? I’m confused what if you have a huge field with those little stone pickers lol can’t figure out another way
You can see the majority of stones on the surface, although it is harder on plowed textures. Also the worker can work the field, they will just go up and down and clean them all.
The sheep are all using the same amount of food. They each dropped 1000l of food between your scenes, but the last one had a bigger capacity so it didn't make it drop into the red. If a different sheep was in the large barn you'd see the same thing with them. I know you said they're eating food at different rates but I think you're mistaken. They all lose about 1000l each month.
As much as I appreciate the many new small or returning features included in FS22, Giants Software version of Seasons has absolutely "watered down" to be less complex for new players. They should have include an option to simply turn it off when a map is loaded. Disappointed that even Precision Farming was not included as an immediate DLC.
You can turn seasonal cycles off. And I'm sure we will get the modded version still, or atleast an accompanying mod that makes it more like the modded seasons from 19.
Precision Farming is done uder partnership between John Deere and a European educational sector, so Giants cannot control when it gets completed, but it won't be too far off. Finally, I'm curious what parts of the old seasons you are missing most?
@@ryanpauloneeyed9669 Bale rot with weather and proper tedding of grass to make hay under proper conditions immediately come to mind. Animal pens and cleaning remain very simplified. There is no reason to not include breeding requirements now and male animals. Poultry is still not transportable? Like I said these are basic functions of farming.
Still think that the some amount of food would change your numbers as far as food consumption. As the small outside pasture holds 3000l food, the small barn holds 4,500l, medium barn is 11,500, etc It also looked like you filled them all to max. Not 3k in each one.
Another great guide. I like a lot of the ‘common sense’ changes they have made to the game. Like having the water plumbed in, if I was a farmer paying a couple of hundred thousand for a building I would want the water plumbed in. Love seeing the sheep running over for their dinner! For the extra building you put in that were behind the others, you could have just moved the sheep from the pasture into it as you had an animal trailer. Also, I hope you remembered to feed the sheep you left in the trailer….
Hi MrSealy. I noticed an error in your video regarding your conclusion about how much feed each breed eats. The starting amounts are different for the enclosures. The sheep pasture and the small barn have starting amount of 4500L and the large barn has a starting amount of 11500L. If you compare at the timestamps of 18:53 which is the starting time and the time 5 months later at 27:03 all 3 enclosures have a difference of 3091L. The Black-Welsh Mountain sheep don't eat less food, it is just that the large barn can hold more feed. Otherwise though... great video.
if you like the engine rpm...just change the option in the settings and you will have the rpm dial and the speed still digital on the instrument. I believe the term used for the fs19: Be a farmer like never before...would be more appropriate for the fs22. fast forward is a required mod asp!

My question is this: Is there a way to have your sheep wool automatically sent to the spinner? Similar to how you can automatically send the fabric to the taylor.
I needed this because I'm so familiar with the sheep on FS 19 that I immediately bought a water tanker thinking I would need it and I didn't need it because now I get it the water is already provided just like that one mod on FS 19 oh that's good I'm no longer confused. And what I mean by that I was wondering why the trigger didn't take the water okay. Oh my God I am learning so much new things with this game ihy.
I wonder if the game difficulty level change the season and animal care challenges? Like bales degrading on starting from scratch mode and animal eating more on these modes
they eat far less than 19. I bought 10 adult sheep and after two full seasons they are still chewing on the same bale of hay. They've yet to produce a full pallet of wool and they are now 2 years old.
I bought an extra sheep barn, with the hopes that when a sheep in crowded sheep barn reproduces, it would automatically move one over to the empty barn. It doesn't. You cant even manually move them over without a trailer. And the only trailer that works with sheep is the huge Wilson trailer.... FAIL.
U can use a keyboard to put your name in this is what mine look like this. .JESSICA. but make sure you have type 2 license plate and i also did this to. .DRAGON.. just have to use a keyboard it works for me on my series X Xbox one
Why do I get the feeling we are going to see a balance pass coming? It doesn’t quite make sense that you will have one breed that produces more wool, eats less AND reproduces just as fast. Otherwise, why would anyone buy any of the other breeds? I’m pretty sure we are going to see an update that balances out the pros and cons of each breed. Thank you so much for all the content you are putting out and I’m sure you must be getting tired out before you even get to spend time playing just for enjoyment! I ran a test yesterday on logging equipment and it took me hours to set up and try out the equipment for comparison. I need to leave the testing to you pro’s but I figured logging was probably one of the last things we’ll see. You should try it out though. They have improved the physics with logging too. It’s not perfect but I don’t feel as much like a fumble fingers in FS22 as it did in 19.
I'm finding a bug on PS5 where you touch the touchpad and go down to other and you cannot click on any of the icons because they will not open and I have to turn my game off and restart it to fix it
Mods are not showing up on PlayStation 4 for FS22 I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still no mods are showing up . Would you have any idea how to get them to show up?
All breeds are the same. The only reason Black ones scored better in this video was that they were older (30 months as opposed to the others). Breeds of same age, produce same results. It is also mentioned in the game's help section, all are identical.
For what it's worth, from my testing it does NOT appear like there's any difference between the four breeds any longer. The adult animals are all 8 months old to begin, all breed the same, and all consume the same amount of feed and produce the same amount of wool. So the benefits to the Black Welsh Mountain sheep must have been an error that was fixed?
And guide complete. Lol But seriously, it's about that simple. The train needs to be rented if you want to use it to sell your produce to GoldValley, so it's just a selling point that pretends to take it to another town entirely.
Good info again, MrSealyP, thankyou for all your sheep-based scientific exploits! It's a shame the breeds are largely no different beyond the visuals (Black Welsh not withstanding) and there are some "missing" gameplay elements, I think that is largely down to Giants attempting to make everything as accessible to as many potential players as possible so they try not to complicate things overly much.. that and I also feel we were somewhat spoilt by the Seasons mod on FS19 because it ticked the majority of complexity requirements for us that like that sort of thing! Also I'm wondering if that sheep that had "The Zoomies" is perhaps a distant relative of Jeremy as it seemed to be demonstrating it's ability to escape the confines of it's pen with relative ease! :D
Thanks for the great tutorial. Maybe i missed it, but i would like to ask one question: What happens if the Barn is full and they want to reproduce ? Will the newborns be sold automaticly, or is there no reproduction at all ? Thank you
I love the new season system personally and the look of the game overall is a massive improvement, its just a shame the game is so buggy and the ai is worth less.

@@ryanpauloneeyed9669 giving them water, cleaning up after them, seasonal production of milk and wool, make either slurry or manure. Now it's just seasons without seasons
@@andrewcullinane8112 you still give the water when in pastures, but I think it's far more realistic to have plumbing in your pens, for the price of constructing a modern pen it would just be unreasonable to run water.... That being said we may see modded pens in older styles that need manual filling of water.
@@andrewcullinane8112 Also, getting manure because you have straw in there, isn't exactly how that goes in reality either. I am disappointed that they didn't add season output of animals, and have that just turned off when seasonal cycles are turned off for those who didn't want it...
@@andrewcullinane8112 but ultimately, it's still pretty early, and even with those who have received the intended updates, there are many bugs/issues to iron out. Maybe things will be slightly different in a patch or two. Heck, maybe season output is intended but not functioning properly....
Hey Mr sp so placed some olives on the EU map and after had crashing ishues on xbox one s. Saved after and returned to when didn't have olives. X heads ups and its like playing blocks again. So it's still blocky
Great work mr P just in time I am starting sheep and hens to so it’s much appreciated the work that you do for us all 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Any ideal when they will put the patch my game is like yours was not all options and slot count is wrong can't get my claas Saddletrac won't download and none of the new mods will show up for me .
Once again a great tutorial, thanks for all your hard work 👍👏👏👍
Is there different prices for wool and meat in different months of the year, like better prices in the winter or something
Yes, there's seasonal fluctations per month
Great tutorial video my good man. You've saved me a lot of time an effort here. Appreciated is the least I can say. Keep up the good work. 👍
great information mr sealy p again . im having a problem unloading hay into hay lofts . takes straw instantly but wont take hay . do the hay lofts fit both into one barn or seperate barns ? great vids .
I think you should rename your control group "out of control" ;-) I noticed pigs also have a habit of running a bit wild!
Wry informative and well analyses but kept nicely simple, excellent
Any1 help me there is a little message sign that comes up beside my mini map just wondering how to open it or what it's for I'm on ps4
Question, if you fertilize the grass around the field do you have some sort of yield improvement on hay ?
Another great guide to video 😁
FAIL.
Can’t wait to play this tomorrow morning, I’ve downloaded all your how 2 vids 👍👍
U can use a keyboard to put your name in this is what mine look like this. .JESSICA. but make sure you have type 2 license plate and i also did this to. .DRAGON.. just have to use a keyboard it works for me on my series X Xbox one
Thank you for these tests, you're awesome.
I used to give off at my children for watching folk play games instead of playing them and here I am 44yrs old watching some dude play FS😝
HAHA combleet .. love it xD
Good video , Just wondering if they only had 10 lambs because the pens where at there max full for animals?
Do they get to the point where the go down hill in production?
Thank you for the outstanding instructional videos. I feel like I will be better prepared when PS4 updates and I can finally play the game.....smh
What does the red light that sometimes turn on in the sheep pens mean?
All breeds are the same. The only reason Black ones scored better in this video was that they were older (30 months as opposed to the others). Breeds of same age, produce same results. It is also mentioned in the game's help section, all are identical.
Could have just bought a new larger barn for the ones that where maxed and just moved the sheep too. That way they would still be maturing the same.
I got one for you with all the production plants putting out pallets does that count add to bale count or is there a limit for pallets too?
Pallets purchased from the store added to the slot count in fs19 (1 slot per pallet) so separate from the bale count. I assume fs22 will be the same.
Is there a difference in productivity between hay and grass ?
Great guide thanks for all you do
So the medium size and large size sheep pens do not need water??
Hi does anyone think they will change the game time for crops to grow?
Will they be an update to change this
Are the welsh black mountain worth more to sell? Looks like the adults were at 1000 at the end and the others 450?
Need a guide to trains coz as I found out you have to rent the train now (1000 £/$ per hour) to use
And guide complete. Lol
But seriously, it's about that simple. The train needs to be rented if you want to use it to sell your produce to GoldValley, so it's just a selling point that pretends to take it to another town entirely.
You can wait for one to come without renting, renting just eliminates the possible long wait
My sheep and cows aren’t breeding any suggestions why
Ok but what happens if you don’t feed them do they die like in FS19
Giants…. Please get SealyP on your payroll for tutorials
Baaaaaaaaarn, you're killing me man :D
Lmao I love the way they run all over even out of the pen
There’s actually new mods on FS19 just incase you weren’t aware
Thanks for the great tutorial. Maybe i missed it, but i would like to ask one question: What happens if the Barn is full and they want to reproduce ? Will the newborns be sold automaticly, or is there no reproduction at all ? Thank you
I can't seem to find anything to wash the equipment with, anyone know if there is a pressure washer or something?
Look under construction (tools) it is the 1st item.
@@daddych0pchop800 thanks
I love the new season system personally and the look of the game overall is a massive improvement, its just a shame the game is so buggy and the ai is worth less.
Is the AI really that bad?
Did you ever figure out why the manure system is not working?
you dont need to give the medium sheep shed water?
