Mr. Sealy P, I wanted to come on here and thank you for all you do. You are So easy to listen to, you explain everything so well, you are down to earth, it is not like you know everything, you are one of us. I am 61, grew up on my grandparent's farm, always wanted to farm myself in real life, but that didn't happen. This game allows me to get away and do that. Please, please, keep doing what you do!!! If you are ever in America, the opportunity to meet you would be so awesome. I wish I could do the same to help other players, but I have a life and family, and I am not sure how to get started, plus I am not super great at the game, and there is the time issue. I hope we can correspond back and forth. I would really like that. Once again, thanks for all you do. You are a Godsend, and you are very appreciated!!! Darrell
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only person that had trouble with the Mack. I had it hooked to the tipper trailer that holds 59,000 and it would just sit in one place and spin ON THE ASPHALT! I sold it and bought the Mann and it never spun a tire.
Ive just noticed that to get manure, you need to use the manure heap thats in the silo extension placeables NOT silos. then when you go to place the manure heap it says needs to be near a barn, then it begins to fill up. i still seem to be getting slurry aswell as manure though
not fully accurate anymore. I put a regular heap (not extension) next to the fence of the large auto barn and it's filling up just fine. They might have fixed it since then.
I've been driving around in the tyres with the straw blower and haven't found the stupid trigger. Thanks MrSealyp, you saved my day again with your great videos!
I really like the added realism that you need to leave the tractor engine running in order to power implements, including dumping trailers, or in this case, running the feed mixer. But it does mean I need to re-adjust my habit of turning the ignition off every time I come to a stop.
Yeah I have found the same, it makes so much more sense that the engine needs to be running but I can’t stop switching the engine off when I stop. Also engines don’t seem to turn themselves off anymore which means you have to be more careful to remember to switch them off 😆😆😆
Hi @MrSealyP. Not if you’ve already figured it out, or be told. But, think I’ve figured out the manure pit. You have to use the “Manure Heap Extension” under Silo Extensions. Not the the “Manure Heap” under silos. Hope this helps. Thanks for all the wonderful content
I see the pastures and animal sheds. Looking forward to finding out if I can move animals between them and maintain their age and health. It seems cool for role playing taking the animals to pasture in the summer, or putting the calves where they don't get milked.
I found that the issue with the straw blower is the angle of the actual spout. You need to point it down then it will work as you drive through the barn.
Great guide, If i'am right one of the settings is about the maximum load. You can switch the maximum load on/off. If you switch it on you can only load to the max of the vehicle/trailer so the extra in the foodmixer may not work.
Great guide, been looking forward to these! So many changes! I am guessing when you bought the cows, the menu would only go to 12 because that’s all the truck could carry. When you showed the pasture on your livestream it went up to 15 because that’s all the pasture holds. Had to edit this, unrelated to cows. The header trailers auto load! Drop the header onto the trailer and as you move away it locks into place!!!!
Thanks for this! Looks like the Brown Swiss provide more milk and no slurry, while the Holsteins do more Slurry, but less milk. This suggests to me you'll want a mix of each.
To give cows bedding in the barns you need to drive where the feed gets unloaded. When attempting to give cows straw bedding in the automated feeding barn with the bale shredder you need to have the nozzle of the bale shredder facing away from the cows and not towards them. If you have it facing away it will give you the prompt to unload straw which will surprisingly be used as bedding even when its visually being sprayed onto the wall and not the cow side. Alternatively you can use feeding vehicles/trailers filled with straw then drive where you're supposed to drive to feed the cows with the feeder filled with straw and that will give the cows the straw bedding. PSA: when you give the cows bedding and have the manure pit from SILO EXTENSION you will receive both manure AND slurry.
@MrSealyp 15:48 when locating the straw point, it is outside the building parallel on the side with the mesh ''window'' the straw then blows through the gaps in the panels.
If anyone hasn't figured it out yet with silage and manure, the silo extensions tab is the buildings to fill from the animal barns, and the buildings of the same name (no clue why) in the silo tab are the manual fill overflow buildings for silage and manure. It will not auto fill the manual ones from a barn. You need the extensions.
About Straw blower: You need to Drive trough. AND lower the the The Blow Pipe! Then the unload will Pop-up!! The Waggon hast to functions: 1 lower and raise Back door 2 lower and raise Blow Pipe The way you do IT from the outside ist Just working because you Blow the straw very far with the Angle of the Pipe. And in the inside IT only works If you lower it quite much.
Been a minute since I've found myself watching a sealyp video. But with fs22 out, well here I am. I think a follow-up video where you take just 1 breed n separate the 12 month n 18 month olds into their own pens to see if at 12 months they are making milk or if it's just the ones that can reproduce that make it would be interesting. Also would be cool to know if 18 months is reproduction maturity or if it's somewhere between 12 n 18 months. Otherwise very thorough as always
I sit fertilizer bags inside my little fert spreader for the same effect. my spreader is full but once I've used some I can refill without stopping. I sit two bags inside the spreader and one bag sits perfectly in between tractor and spreader on the bar. I can do all fertilizing jobs in one trip without stopping :). my crop protection vehicle holds liquid herb and fert on top of it like it's made for it as well. seeders have spots where you climb up and put the seed in , you can sit bags of seeds on that. buggar going back to the shop or farm all the time
Very nice and COMPLETE video! I've watched several on this topic and you have provided all of the information from those and more! Great job and thank you!
I've been revisiting your guides after a hiatus of FS. The one thing I always thought was missing on these vids was a summary/conclusion on the major points, especially since the vid is 51 mins long, you're testing things on the fly. That being said, great vid (even for the 2nd time watching it) and thank you for doing this.

Thanks so very much, MrSealyP, for this “how-to” guide! Thanks very much for all of the helpful, informative FS22-related info that you’ve been producing, especially at this time when FS22 has just been released! Much, much appreciated! :-) Happy Tuesday! :-)
Another very useful video. I’ve been playing since 2013 and probably followed you since 2015 ? Not quite sure. For newcomers watching this, Hay calculates as being just as good for production as feed as TMR. There are no downsides and milk production ends up being the same. Hay is easier, so there is no reason to go to the trouble of using TMR.
Hi Mr. Sealy P, I purchased the robot cow barn and noticed on my $$ (finance) page - even though we do not need to put water but we are charged water fee at the end of the night - average $640 USD.
I am new to FS22 and have just started with cows using the "Fenceless Husbandries" Mod, and the trigger point is on the same point as in the video @15.16. Just weird. thanks for all the videos btw keep them up.

Just discovered the self propelled mixer wagons, well the largest one, will eat bales, so makes tmr a bit quicker. Also means you can bales in to loose material and unload it into the lely auto feeder.
My whole reason for searching this video, to find out where the hell the water gos lol didn’t know it was including in the Ma’s regular cow barns now, kind of don’t like that feature to be honest but 🤷🏻♂️ thanks for the helpful video!

Hey Mr Sealy BIG QUESTION! WHY won't my manure and liquid manure fill up min are as close if not closer to the automatic cow feeding barn and they have hay and straw. Do I need to have silage as well to create manure and liquid manure? Or shouldn't it be producing? Fs19 it was built in but peaceable means we have to place next to each other and how many cows can run off one manure pit totally confused please make a video. Am on ps4pro
Still waiting to get started on my own farm, but I have been looking at all kinds of tutorials so I will be ready. Something just hit me about feeding cows. It says TMR gives 100% effectiveness, so you could just feed TMR and get full production. But, it says hay is 80% effective and grass is 40% effective. This would seem to indicate that you could get full production by just feeding grass and hay. If that is right, then you don't need silage at all. Although the description does say for best results use the most effective food type.
Very interesting guide there, looks like as much as things have stayed the same there's also a lot of nice improvements to cows and general cow related work! Nice to see beef breeds are a functional thing now in the base game, the addition of that mineral additive is nice but leaves me with more questions than anything.. chiefly is there any benefit from using it game wise? If I'm understanding cows right now too it seems that only the ones of age to bear calf are actually producing milk, so the expensive older ones should give milk fairly promptly but the new born / cheaper ones won't for a good while. I'm really with how bales work now too, having them "empty" into the feed mixers rather than just completely becoming loose material in the wagon is great, and the handling of them seems so much nicer now too! Thanks, MrSealyP!
Thanks for the tut matey, not sure if I missed it, how do you sell the cows, can you just click on them and sell or have to load them up and take them, can you choose which cow to sell? cheers.
Ty mrSealyP i have a question in the shed with robot do the need also hay or grass it says it does butt i cant fill it or is total mixed ration enough ????
At the side of the barn there is a pipe coming out. It will show the sign of loading, you park your slurry tank right there and press R. Then it will fill up.
@@raspingrabbit2379 This I know but the sheds on the video showed slurry being generated. Okay if so, where was it being held? Seeing as he didn’t place a slurry bin. Did they have slurry bins already? If so where were they located?
Very informative video. Maybe the blower would have worked if you adjusted the nozzle? Is that an Option? Cyberdine systems, that is a name I havn't heard in a long while. But I will name my "R2D2-barn"

To answer your question why the manure heap doesn't work. You have to use the heap in silo extensions the one in silo will not work
Thanks for the tut matey, not sure if I missed it, how do you sell the cows, can you just click on them and sell or have to load them up and take them, can you choose which cow to sell? cheers.
Hello, can you tel me please, how many workers can use at same time - because at fs 19 can use only 6 :-(
Thank you Mr. SealyP for your very informative video how to guides, so very helpful!😃🐄🚜
Thanks as always you cover everything in your video many thanks
Ty mrSealyP i have a question in the shed with robot do the need also hay or grass it says it does butt i cant fill it or is total mixed ration enough ????
Hi mr sealy p thank you for the guidance.. question. How do i get my slurry out?
At the side of the barn there is a pipe coming out. It will show the sign of loading, you park your slurry tank right there and press R. Then it will fill up.
Nice guide MrSealyp, but is it weird when you only buy new born, you see adult cows walk in the pen 🤣
I have the 240 cow Cown Barn with Feeding Robot. How do I fill the water ?
Question? Where do you take out slurry? When reading the guide/help. I saw something about placing a slurry bin/tank?
If you look in the silo extensions section in the build menu there is a slurry bin and manure silo. I assume these are to attach onto the pens.
@@raspingrabbit2379 This I know but the sheds on the video showed slurry being generated. Okay if so, where was it being held? Seeing as he didn’t place a slurry bin. Did they have slurry bins already? If so where were they located?
@@callmebigpoppac9205 good question, no idea. Buried under the cowshed maybe? I guess I will have to investigate when I get cows set up.
Um i got i question how do you break down bales to turn them into straw or hay
Very informative video. Maybe the blower would have worked if you adjusted the nozzle? Is that an Option?
Cyberdine systems, that is a name I havn't heard in a long while. But I will name my "R2D2-barn"
I'm having trouble with harvesting contracts.
You can't deliver enough.
Yeah I also had this problem with harvesting contracts said I only did 29% from a full harvested field
@@Richard-H you done better than me mine was 16%.
Teething problems. They'll update it for sure
Yea same issue on Xbox One (TX,USA). Also in Contracts rented item can be used for other contracts if you had not tested already MrP.
How DID you get the silage bales and hay bales in the bunker with the robot?
So what's the most affordable way to put bales of hay or grass in the pasture? Bales won't go in the trough.
How do you get the milk from the cows do you need to back up to the glass looking icon
can you do a video on the time scale ? to explain what the time steps are.
Very helpful. Thanks for putting this together.
