This is the perfect addition, especially if they add variety to mech raids. I tried a few modded mech expansions and they didn't seem nearly as balanced as this, too many advantages and not enough weaknesses to compensate making them unfun to fight. Ironically similar to fighting a vanilla centipede raid. Hopefully these make centipede rush raids less common with more variety added to their strategy.
From what i understood is that those mechs are "only" when using the new raid mechanic. Basically, to upgrade the guy that needs to be implanted antennas to control your mechanoids. In order to get the components you need to defeat mech bosses and those bosses can be lured to your base using some sort of signal. So those raids are decided on your own term when and possibly how it happens. This video lacks a lot of caveat and context that is better explained in the news.
This tells me that you don't bring in mods like Rimworld of Magic or Vanilla Psycasts Expanded to counter beastly mechs from Alpha Animals and Advanced Mechanoid Warfare.
"...The perfect tool for dispatching hordes of indigenous tribal raiders while setting your base on fire." It was a bad time to be eating while watching this. I should've known better.
Worthless. Why add a paid mod instead of actually expading the game? What about something that mods cant or wont do properly, like aerial combat, or perhaps something like procedurally generated enemy bases? Anything that actually can expand the game instead of just fucking with it.
Back in my day we’d just glue scyther hands on the expendable pawns
Well back in my day we'd tie thrumbo horns on their arms!
The good Ole days of the double scyther blade armed berserker hopped up on drugs and kept in cryosleep until combat must occur.
Best thing about these DLC - they bring me exactly what I need.
I think the screenshot of the syther next to the baby is the funniest thing on rimworld i’ve seen
*Oh yes it’s all coming together*
Oh God all this new game content is making fall in love with rimworld all over again
Hope they make a decent AI for enemies too.

they better have factions use smoke pops and jet packs and use mechaniuds too
meta would just be to make as many scyter as possible and do the classic rat zerg rush but this time its more controllable and deadlier
*Nanomachines, son.*
I haven't played RimWorld in a few months now, can't wait to get back to the game
Perfect time to! I'm looking forward to seeing what combinations of mech worshipers we get with the mix of Biotech and Ideology
@@OneHunchMan Time to enforce slavery with my mechs!
Nice my mech army shall rule all! Well until an emp comes along.
How imagine if combat extended do something much more crazy to there armors
Are these mechs in 1.4? Or the upcoming DLC?
DLC i think
Upcoming Biotech DLC, the 1.4 are quality life change and add few feature
Goodbye WhatTheHack, you served me well
as long as it levels the playing field and doesnt bring stupid op mech raids getting our new toys
Finally, I can turn those ancient vaults into ovens for even LESS cost!
so basically WTH but better
also Mechanoid Foundry mod is also fun to use
Will humans be even valid anymore holly fuck these are awesome
great video
My wallet is one DLC away from erectile dysfunction
what about the mechs from Vanilla factions expanded mechanoids
But remember the polution you get for doing this
Explain
Interesting what could be done with them in co-op.
Keep your pockets ready
This is all the poggest thing ever, but the names are such an anti climax.. Centurion? Legionary? Kinda overused but its fine
not all new combat mechanoids
BUSTED DLC omg
wth Tynan we dont deserve this
It’s pronounced kenturion, profligate.
