Spreading fertiliser where you have no marks from the previous run makes it some lottery to get the whole field covered. Always hated the job especially in tightly grazed fields.
Loved the sound of the 35x - brought me back about 30 years. Our next door neighbour had a 35 and his uncle had a35x - two quality machines. Keep up the good work Phil, I love the fact that your videos are honest and nothing’s hidden. Another quality production.
Fertiliser is easy, as you should be able to see the prills… I used to spray MCPA, and could just about see the brown colour it left on the weed leaves.
😂 the 35 Is crying for a PTO clutch adjustment. Good looking little tractor
Great looking tractor there bud 👍👍
Farmer Phil she is a little beaut!!! Hope all is going well over there!!
i know the feeling .trying to find a place to put things..thanks phil..
Always a lottery with those spreaders. I used to get bollockings because I could never judge the spacing between passes. Don't overlap rows, don't miss bits. Trying to get the new pass to lie alongside the fertiliser on the ground from the last pass. I was always told 'we will know when the grass greens up how much you missed'. Life, on the edge or what. Smashing little tractor by the way.
Looking forward to the vintage potato farming Phil 👍
Good video Farmer Phil 👍🏻
Three setscrews with locknuts around the outer rim of the clutch, access plate on bottom of bell housing. You need to adjust the gap between the heads of the three screws and the pressure plate using feeler gauge. Can't remember exact number think it was 86 or 88 thou, must check the service manual. Tippex each one when you have it set, then turn over by hand or hook back the battery and give a tip of the starter till you have got to all three. You'll need two 13mm or 1/2" spanners. You'll feel it on the pedal when adjusted right, the pto should bite about an inch from the bottom of the pedal.
I think all 35's are the same remember one we had always switch her off to turn on the pto if u have a fall of ground let it roll turn on the pto and start it on the clutch
Nothing as classy as a little massey
We have a 35 aswell .. very reliable for us
Same so yolk
I am 10years old an i hav a 35 aswell and a ford7810
Old school in the Haus!)

Grand rig for doing the paddocks
Great work Phil Brings me back 60 years; O as she said for the sound Better than pure S***x There’s a simple possibly fix for your pot clutch I will message u when I get a minute Be a bit careful with no safety roll bar , as too many young and old fella s came a cropper under them O for the sound Wicked she said When them tractors were in their hay day young people needed no narcotics as we had the Massey , Ford ,David Brown, Nutfield , even an odd Zetor which they said was better ,but for me nothing bates the click of the wee Perkins in the Massey it is special
Great pun phil
Love the content Phil
Nice 35 Phil. There are a few 35's still around here a lot have the 3cyl perkins but my uncle has 1 with a 4cyl perkins I think its a older 35 man it starts hard but are some tuff tractors.
You were the first people to cut silage in Longford
Jazuz Phil ya forgot about the stopper a few times there
I don't think that's a 35X with that dynamo bracket but a 35 with the optional extra of a diff lock, 35X came in with serial number 302413 in November 1962.
Do u use that sprayer much
Ever decreasing spreading style. Well done on using a nice tidy tractor and it make more sense than a 100hp plus tractor for fertiliser.
That’s the best tractor you have on the farm get her sorted 😂
It is
That Ford with the sprayer on it looks rather interesting. Some day, when you have a chance, would you talk about it in some detail? Thank you.
He already has a vid about it
Heres the video on it 👍🏻. th-cam.com/video/BZKpwv9zNLY/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the link
Nothing drives like a deere with a New Holland up its rear
I'm assuming your using the 35x because its light and they're a bit of craic to drive tbf, I have one for scraping, great video 👍 good can joke btw
screw the wax, use a light weight engine oil instead , rub it in, wipe it off, great for the rusty spots
You only lose 1 hour sleep phill you don't have to wait till the clocks go back
Is that a Lister C/S stationary engine the fertiliser spreader was leaning against?
I don’t rightly know but we have 2 other stationary engines
my type of tractor a lot better than those computers on wheels // stay fit and well
Are you trying to make them rushes grow?😅😅
They start a lot easier compared to a Massey Ferguson 35
Ah jaysus phil where'd you get your comedy skills...C.A.N 🙄🤣🤣
I have a 35 3 cylinder for sales
Would ye have a preference to the ifi can ?
No just whatever is cheapest
What year is the 35x is it in the family from new
It’s been in the family from the 70s bought 2nd hand
Wat type of gps does that 35 have😂🤣
Any chance of a job phil. ?.
Have ya stopped using the Rauch axis altogether ?
Rewatch 4:20, he says about that then
First view
Well phil, how's that calf doing with pneumonia from the last video.
Unfortunately the calf died
Did that 35 have a cab originally
Yes it did
Do u live in Ireland like me on a farm
Yes I do
Where do ya stick the GPS screen 🤣🤣
On the post other side the field
Old school is. Better
