Just discovered this. Just wow! Six wonderful musicians sharing their talents and love of the music. Special mention for the spectacular rhythm section and that guitarists with the glasses ain't half bad either 😂(Edit: no special mentions… as the show goes on it is revealed that the six of them ride some higher aural wave…)
The sound mix is sooooo good. Kudos to the engineer. Listening on a good set of Bose cans at high-res delivers every note of every instrument perfectly.
I knew joe was one of the all time blues/blues rock greats, but i didn't know he could play fusion like that, that's just unfair, he just might be the chosen one!
I almost think he plays this better than Blues and Rock. Quite talented at all of it. Started playing when he was 5 years old. Playing with B.B. King at age 11. He was brutal back then at 11. Check out his Live at the Greek Theater vid. Released in 2016. He's an outstanding singer too.
I've been a Joe Bonamassa fan since I discovered him through a German music magazine in 2009. I was 14 at that time and was completely blown away. 11 years have passed and I'm still a very big fan of Joe and I wonder: how come I only just discovered this incredible video right now?! He's so versatile - he proves that he can play ANY style of music with such proficiency and true musicianship. What a great musician - and what a great band! :-D
guys that drum sound is phenomenal for an acoustic set in a small club like that! Love it! Hearing this fusion, rock, jazz stuff again after some time not touching this music (accidentally I might add).. Love it! All you guys are great and hearing the music flow like that from your fingertips (and feet) is heartwarming and essentially a holiday for the mind in itself! ;)
I was born in '61 so subconsciously I have been trying really hard Not to like that whippersnapper Joe Bonamassa for as long as I can remember..... BUT WHOLLY HOLY CRAP.... he is equal parts artist and technique!!!! Jeff who? BRAVO JOE BONAMASSA....you deserve every accolade!!!! RESPECT TO JB JB JB !!!! And the celebration continued into the wee hours with every Who in Whoville chanting FUNK JB, FUNK JB, FUNK JB !!!!
Bonamassa was born on 8 May, 1977 and didn't start his career until he was 12 (in 1989), when you would have been in your later twenties. Do you really not remember anything at all before that? You might want to consult a physician if not.
Had Hendrix lived, he would 💯% have sat in with these mofos! Wayne Shorter too....❤ But my, doesn't JB shine in a band of equals vs being the "star"? Kudos to him for his versitility and, most of all, for his humble service to the music gods! This, and his work with Jimmy Barnes, is him at his very best imo. ❤🎉❤
It’s always a Funky Party when the Candy get together!! Simply awesome musicians, can’t say much more except I’m Digging This Big Time!! Thanks to all who makes it happen 🤘🏻😁🎶🎼✨💫✨💫✨💫 At 19:00 was cool n Dope on a Rope yeaaaah
Let's have some love for Ron DeJesus here; Bonamassa is a great player, but Ron is killing it here. I find his playing more interesting for some reason....
In RCFP the instruments are the singers! Joe Bonamassa sings Blues Rock beautifully but RCFP is for the music. Or you can check out Joe singing hard Rock with Glenn Hughes in Black Country Communion.
All these guys are tone chasers. PHENOMENAL sound from every instrument!!!
All master musicians, but that bass player is the Boss! Unbelievable!
awesome. I wish Joe would play more of this stuff!!
I put this on 3-4 times a month and I always find something new in it to hear. Outstanding
Класс!!!
Супппппер команда!!!
Аж слеза пробивает от восприятия! Так классно!!!

It really is...
Bonamassa is the most versatile guitar player on the planet ! This is great stuff. Incredible musicianship.
Ear Candy.
I will praise Tal, since he isn't getting much love in this thread of comments.
He is a beast !!
He is an absolute monster! Perhaps no explicit praise because we're all in shock ;D
1:30:31 - Seem Joe has been listening to John Scofield circa 1985 when he was still in Miles Davis' band.
This is a real All-Star band...each one of them is truly exceptional. Highest level.

No doubt he is the chosen one. The man can play anything!

Have watched RCFP from The Baked Potato on YT. Thanks for posting NY sets. Great sound and visuals!
Could Mr. Bass Player be having any more fun? I think not!

Does anybody else think that Mike Merritt could be Dion Sanders twin brother?
I do. The resemblance is remarkable.
Highest live sound
Is comfortable; is not
Thank you very much for your advice.
I cannot sleep
I wait in Japan
All your bass belongs....
I know Joe. Anyone know the names of the other musicians ?
Watch the credits at the very start of the video.
Does this band have a singer, or are they always instrumental?
A singer would be their absolute ruin...
Have you ever tasted good instrumental music? You could try any day.
In RCFP the instruments are the singers! Joe Bonamassa sings Blues Rock beautifully but RCFP is for the music. Or you can check out Joe singing hard Rock with Glenn Hughes in Black Country Communion.
For the gear geeks at 1:47:20 there's a quick shot of Joe's pedalboard but I can only identify the 808.
Recien los descubro...que bien suenan ....grata sorpresa !!!!!
This is great but am I the only one having a hard time hearing Joe's guitar?
Yes, but it's mixed quite hard left so check your stereo settings maybe?
