❄️ Part 2: The Majesty of Briksdal Glacier ❄️
Welcome back to Part 2 of our Olden adventure! 🌟 Today, we’re diving into the awe-inspiring beauty of the Briksdal Glacier. If you missed Part 1, we kicked off our day with an exciting journey through the Olden Valley and an enchanting walk up to this incredible glacier. Now, let's explore the glacier up close and personal!
Our trek to the Briksdal Glacier reveals a landscape of icy splendor and dramatic scenery. As we approach the glacier, the sheer scale of this natural wonder takes our breath away. Stretching 4,000 feet down the mountainside, Briksdal Glacier is a shimmering blue expanse that seems almost otherworldly. ❄️✨
The walk back to the Briksdalsbre Mountain Lodge is equally captivating. We continue to stop for more breathtaking views and photo ops, capturing every moment of this unforgettable day. The surrounding landscapes - with their stunning waterfalls and verdant valleys - are a photographer’s dream! 📸🌿
After our glacier exploration, we make our way back to Olden Cruise Port. We had hoped to embark on the “Loen Skylift” for even more panoramic views, but unfortunately, the cloud cover didn’t cooperate. 🌥️ But no worries - we still find plenty of joy in our next stop!
Back aboard the P&O Iona, we head to The Keys on Deck 8 for a delicious Katsu Curry - a favorite of ours. 🍛 After lunch, we take a leisurely stroll around the port, discovering a secret spot perfect for capturing stunning photos of our cruise ship. 🛳️📷
