I'm from Quebec City and I own every guitar pedal Chuck made. Yeah, the 12 volt is misleading. It refers to the power needed to recharge the battery. The overdrive operates on standard 9 volt power. Had to ask him to find out. P.S. my magic setting : volume 6, tone 6, disto 6. (That'd be about 777 for you, mine's from 2008) Cheers!
They sound very similar to my ears. I probably need to compare it side by side and with different amps and guitars. If you can find one for not much money, I would pick it up to add to a collection. If you want reliability, standardization, and resaleablity pick up a Tube Screamer.
Do You Like Gear? Thanks for info bud! I have severe GAS. My next gear purchase is a classical guitar. Need it for certain songs I’m working on. I wonder how a classical guitar would sound like with this tube screamer? Lol

Cool demo! How do you think it compares to the classic green Tube Screamer?
