Your extra effort can be exhausting at times but in 20 years from now when you hear “Hey mom I loved smelling”… or they have a memory from a smell it makes it ALL worth it! It also pulls at your heart. I HAVE NEVER EVER REGRETTED going the extra mileS for my family. The payback for exhaustion back then is priceless now!! ❤️❤️💯🙏🏼

I used the Rod and Staff preschool workbooks with my kids. My youngest is now in 11th Grade. 🥰 I have many sweet memories of using those books over the years. You are reading excellent Mother Enrichment books. For the Children's Sake was pivotal for me 25 years ago. Have a great year!!
Welcome back! Your homeschool cabinet turned out so pretty. Our homes are always evolving with the changing needs of our family. ❤ Great job in the breakfast prep too! A little tip that has worked well for us is to slice the bread before freezing. We found that it crumbles more once it’s been frozen and a little harder to slice nicely 🌼

I love the way you created a little school area, it looks very inviting for a little one to learn at. I’m an empty nester but when my boys were little I would always get sad when school started back. My friends thought I was crazy. I told them , no I just love my boys. ( you remind me a lot of my younger self) I loved everything about being a Mom, homemaking, caregiving, chaperoning, party planning , room Mom at school.ect…. Welcome Back! I noticed your mixer jumping around when making your dough. If you tap the metal piece sticking out of the neck of the mixer on the left side with a hammer, it will put it back in place and help with the jumping 😊 just tip in case you didn’t know.

My middle son is using the Kindergarten level of math with confidence and at first I was a bit discouraged because he already knew his numbers and some basic addition, but I'm glad we didn't skip ahead because a lot of the activities help lay the groundwork for bigger concepts of math later. We started over the summer and are on week 8 and I'm starting to see why she ordered her program that way.

Hi Hillary, I have a suggestion in case you haven’t already thought of it. Since you have younger ones, check the keyboard to see if it can accommodate headphones. That way if one of the younger ones is napping or someone is studying, the keyboard can be used without bothering others. It came in very handy for our family. Mine are grown now, but I can still play if someone is on the phone or watching tv.
Oh my goodness I spy your "rolling pin" you've had for years!! I totally love that. We love rod and staff here! I think you set up your learning area so lovely. We have a keyboard here... It looks like a black hole. I should get a little library desk for ours. Great idea!
