- so recently heaven burns red launched and i have been absolutely addicted in a major way and its very obviously better than honkai star rail so i just had to make this video because i dont think heaven burns red is getting enough credit like revue starlight relive in 3d launched and not enough people care so hopefully this video gets some viewers to try this anime mobile game out i would reccomend it i am a huge afacianado its why i hadnt had time to upload videos again for 2 weeks also we are getting gfl2 soon now is the time to quit all hoyocel games.

fun fact : on mobile, during auto-farm (the black screen one) the game is played in a cloud server, so you can completely close the game and the game will still farm just fine until you open the game later... I usually do it before starting work or sleep lol

The gameplay may bit outdated compared to hsr since hsr comes a year later, but the writing and dialogue in heaven burns red is reaaally significantly better than hsr or any chinese mobile gacha games
Like watching anime or VN, hbr not really shy away when talk about dark stuff to the dirty jokes, and when the story becomes emotional it's becomes emotional, and the music is really good too since lot of them actually voiced
Not to mention ruka (our MC) is actually fun as character, personality wise she similiar to trailblazer only the difference she talks and showing emotion more often than trailblazer
HBR is pretty much a VN with gacha gameplay. You can't top that.

Facts, hbr is a genuine masterpiece.
It has a soul, starrail is just your 9995th typical anime mmo u can find anywhere in the store, just under a different name and made "by mihoyo" hence why it's so overrated.
What i particularily like with hbr is that the writers aren't afraid to go anywhere, sex, unexpected death, dirty jokes (etc.....) they don't hold back and that's a good thing, it make the universe and it's character relatable.
Believe me, even if the gameplay ain't ur cup of tea, make an effort to read the story and this game will instantly get a place in ur soul.

In hbr i never skipped a single dialogue (both main story and event) and that comes from an usually heavy gacha story skipper.

I like the story in hbr more, hsr's story was amazing at the beginning (Belobog) but now the story just feels like old gum, stale and stretchy but maybe with the new planet it gets back to its old beauty... idk.
I loved the first planet on HSR, but the second planet's story frustrated me so much that I quit the game XD

I really hope the new planet will be a saving grace for HSR, otherwise i might consider quitting.

They do copy a lot from obscure games and mangas/novels though.
they know how to edge you with the perfect amount of grind and actual gameplay. look at the grinding in mihoyo games XD it's manual in genshin and zzz, not to mention its also infinitely harder because they have much more layers of RNG but they dumb everything down for normoids so it doesn't get grueling.
It's because the actual story telling and writing was done by someone who has actually written and done stores for successful visual novels, it's crazy when someone who actually knows how to write a good story can do.
Does the other game genres do the same thing? Even businesses on real life like that, yeah They copy the concept, the idea then improve it.

Um.. game was developed by Jun Maeda... he literally god tier at the animes/visual novels he did in the past.. and yes many people knows his works. Animes/VN's like Angel Beats, Little Busters, Air, Kanon and Clannad. So you know the story is going to be really good with lots of tear jerkers because all of his stories are this way.

That's right. I played both games. And I found many differences between the two. Heaven Burns Red has a good story and storytelling. Also one of its advantages is power saver mode in the Arena feature that can be left when exiting the game and the device is turned off (The interesting part is that the gameplay continues to run in the game. Maximum for 9 hours). And when logging into the game, the character level increases rapidly & gets reward materials (Makes it easier for players to increase character stats).
While Honkai Star Rail. Sometimes the story and storytelling are not so strong in presentation. Getting materials when farming is also sometimes not much. There is no grinding feature running in the game when leaving the game. So it takes longer to get the materials needed to level up the character.
All memoria in heaven burns red is non limited (for now). In jp the limited memoria is only collab and unison memoria and only 8 (5 collab, 3 unison) other menoria is non limited

I am an HBR JP player, and I also hope that many people play this global version of HBR. but the way you promote it doesn't make me proud and just makes me embarrassed. You don't need to look down on other games to make your game look better, especially comparing it to games that are much more popular, this is really embarrassing and disappointing for me as an HBR player
Once you finish Ch 3 in Heaven Burns Red., play the side story Behavioral Observation Report #1186. First video that has ever made me cry. The details in this was so well done. Simply amazing.

Even when introduced to gatcha thru hoyo, I knew vaguely of og japanese gatcha games dedicated to story. The jank of fgo was endearing, but there was so much to catch up on and no QOL. Finally getting a game like HBR has been so exciting. Like other ppl in the comments r saying, it's been as enjoyable if not more than HSR's first arc

@@backpackpepelon3867 oh God it's sad how true that is. it's such a disgrace to people who actually plays games. I thought HSR had dumbed down everything but ZZZ does it to a higher degree. The combat in that game is so ridiculously easy it's insane, it's like DMC but it shows you when or where the enemy will attack and the combos are simplified, and then they force you to grind manually just like genshin.
The simplicity of star rail is why many casuals play it- but that alienates the passionate side of gacha gamers who play for the complexity

What I like about HBR is it's a gacha which story actually feels like an anime. The combat and its visuals look outdated but the story carries and it carries hard alongside with the music. Most importantly, the MC isn't a blank slate for once and she's really funny
Every new gacha game must give up art direction and have realistic shaders and lightning, flashy combat and open world maps like all the other games or else they're outdated

Include purposely making the story longer by making the char. train for several days, very masterful.

@orewaren8549 as an hbr fan, no wuwas combat is much better and it's exploration is also top notch. However hbr's story is unparalleled and it's gameplay is fun but not outstanding, and it can run well. Wuwa runs worse than cyberpunk on my pc, and that's why I quit it despite loving it.

Bruh, played all hoyo games but after trying heaven burns red I guess HBR won the day. The writing is top tier and the game somehow feels fresh even though the battle animation per character seems lackluster except the ultimate for SS memoria. ❤❤❤
Difference between the two is the budget and how they utilize their own engine limitations or perceive limitation from its genre. HSR have so many stills which makes the great graphics and top tier cinematics under utilized for example is Penacony there was so much yap more than showing while HBR utilizes everything it can, it doesn't even tell you everything and there's a part where it's just showing you only hints. All in a visual novel format and sometimes the cinematics. I can't get over with Erika that eyes alone is enough to tell you the worst, damn you Maeda you're at it again.

Pull for Kunimi the pink haired sailor captain midget girl for free she's the only who can revive team in Global and wait for the banner to pull for the squad of 31B , she has glasses and wear chinese clothing, upcoming in the next banner top tier support. That ending kept me staring at the screen for 5 minutes til I snapped back to reality and started crying, I only expected her to be permanently bedridden but I didn't expect them to actually kill Aoi... 😭 damn you Jun Maeda bravo for making me cry again I expect more from the next chapters! I underestimated his control over this Gacha... plus the reveal about seraph users turning/reincarnating? into narbies when they die, I won't be seeing narbies as cute now 😭

You don't have to be from a different world to have a variant either. Dr mei, in hi3, is a variant of Raiden mei as well. Acheron is from a completely different world but she is a variant of mei. That doesn't make her hi3 mei. They are two very different characters actually.
Expy = a character that was directly exported from another game.
Welt is the only expy in HSR.
Variant: because of the cosmology in HSR, the lore by which the foundation of the universe is based on, there can be many variants of a character throughout the universe. These variants are their own people, with their own personalities, stories and choices, but they all walk the same path. (Don't think HSR paths here).
Acheron is a variant. She has nothing to do with hi3.

HBR is unfortunately not a particularly good 'gacha game' - but that's just one aspect of it.
